  • Really enjoyed watching your walkthrough, going to have to play this on an emulator now!

  • very good video and great commentary.

  • @slystaff777 Thank you, although I'm only a game player. If you want to see hyper tv shit reviews with loud commentary this is not here. I do my own thing and always will do. Fuck false channels. It's all free anyway and I appreciate that you like what I did on this video.

  • one of my faves this although i never did complete it. brilliant atmosphere. my mate was an expert at this and the great escape. he could complete them with ease.

the dinosaurs in this reminded me of that other speccy game b.c bill (for some reason). anyone remeber that? a completely different game mind and nowhere near as good.

  • The dinosaurs in this are a bit poorly drawn but they still scare the shit out of me.

B.C. Bill is surely a terrible game. It looks nice enough but plays like cack.

  • This kind of game used to scare the shit out of me as a kid. Something about the presentation is so atmospheric, despite being relatively simple nowadays, obviously. I never completed anything like this when I was younger, so it's good to see someone play through them now.

  • It still scares me nowadays. When that dinosaur comes after you it's just nerve wracking. It's a great environment for a game as well. Full of imagination.

  • Yeah, just goes to show what programmers could do when they actually use their creativity, rather than just make another sports or film tie-in. I remember Ocean made the Robocop and Batman games though, those two were pretty good. Especially Batman, though that game used to give me nightmares as well. They played a loop of music telling you that you were going to die, but it took about ten minutes to die so I just used to panic and quit!

  • A lot of Ocean stuff in the late 80's was good but it didn't give programmers freedom of expression. With tight deadlines as well to get the latest blockbuster tie-in into the shops. No wonder a lot of their games had so many bugs.

  • Nothing has changed in that regard these days, either. Most development houses are a production line, it's no coincidence it's only the smaller, more talented ones that produce the best titles. Even then it's only under the umbrella of a bigger publisher. To be honest, if games were still like this, we wouldn't know any better and we'd be just as happy with them. I'd love to see what people could do with the speccy now.

  • I think The Max Payne games were excellent but that is more of an independent team effort. Apart from that nothing much has changed with big business looking for quick money. If someone could write more games like this nowadays on the speccy then I would still buy them.

  • well done, i wish they did make more games like this one. 10 out of 10 and 5 stars for you.

  • There were so many possibilities with this style of game. You had Gauntlet 3, but although that looks nice it's just nowhere in the same league as this.

  • Damm! So many Spinny Vids* it's easy (for me at least!) to forgot what's up and what ain't!

I,ll go check it out :)

    * Which of course is a good thing!

  • I forget some of the stuff I've put up as well and that is a bad thing.

  • Did you ever play Denton Designs "Frankie Goes To Hollywood" Spins?

That was very ahead of it's time and damm hard too!

Anyway great to see you survived the perils of the land that time forgot.

  • I put a walkthrough up of that ages ago. You need to keep up. You know what to type to find it. Very difficult game.

Now I can put my feet up until the next game.
