  • Wow, this is an old vid. Tim looks amazing years later. I just watched his newest video and he looks amazing. I'm going raw tomorrow.

  • @EntitySeventySeven how is it going on the raw diet?

  • @thatfruitarianchick

Yeah, it didn't really workout. I still eat cooked, i'm like 60% cooked, 40% raw. I drink 32 ounces of vegetable juice with every meal, 3 32 ounce servings a day. I also started sprouting. I sprout alfalfa and mung beans for now. I eat them raw and I also use them to make soup. I do intend on becoming 100% raw though. I'll do it in phases. Maybe I'll post some vids.

  • how about 80% raw instead of 100?

  • So exercise & recover. Eat meat raw or cooked & recover. Exercise 2 times a week & eat meat 2 times a week. It is all about balance. The vitamins & minerals in raw vegetables can not be absorbed in the body with out good quality grass fed or wild caught animal fats. Look up Weston A. Price Foundation and discover.

  • @fjironsiii The point was: why add unwarranted stress to your digestion and metabolism? Exercise/recover has a point: increased endurance, strength, etc. Eat/recover has no point, it is the system working against itself, making sacrifices and compromises just to survive, using most of its energy, not on recovery, but rather on dealing with the stress of survival. I'm with Tim, I want to thrive, not just survive. I am vegan, 75% raw, loving it and aspiring to 100%. Mere survival is for cavemen.

  • thankU from the bottom of my SouL tiM... for myself, & also for adding to the list of brilliantly WiSe and healthy men that i can use for my 3 sons to see as healthy examples {~*~}

  • Brilliant! Woot woot! Thank you for sharing.

  • Just discovered your channel through DTM, been thinking about going raw and starting running for months now, i'm nearly 40 and getting fat. Tim you are a genius and an inspiration!! Thank you!!

  • Dan the man sent me to your channel. I subscribed. Great info.

  • Wow he's awesome. Coming to Dallas, Tx anytime soon to do a talk????

  • I tried veganism for seven or so years. The more I refined the practice, the harder it became to find meals while on the road. If only the world was ready for it...

  • about 2 and a half years ago i became a giraffe, it was cool and it doesn't afraid of anything

  • why are cheeseburgers so good though? :( umami is my favorite taste

  • @BeAsTm0aD

Cheeseburgers are covered in salty cheese and ketchup most of the time- that's what you're tasting. Pretty much all of the meat humans eat is seasoned, because if it were not seasoned it would be completely bland. If you want a sample of what pure, unseasoned meat tastes like, boil some chicken breast in water and don't add any seasoning. Blech. Humans like the taste of the sugar, salt, fat, and spices added to meat- not so much the meat itself.

  • I agree that we need wayyyy more rest in between workouts than currently excepted as truth here in the united states.....there is "3 stages of muscle growth" and we are missing the 3rd stage because we want to workout again before we are finishing up the 3rd and final stage of muscle growth. Type in "3 stages of muscle growth"right here in youtube and watch my video and see what i mean, this will shock you to finally know that 99 percent of people are grocely, chronically overtraining!

  • This guy needs to eat better he looks so unhealthy. He really is in no position to try to advertise his diet.

  • Half a year ago i become raw! I am a Bodybuilder and as every Human,i had a few health problems! Akne, hairloss, headace etc. But now i feel great and i am nearly indestructable,i push much more weight than before with supplements Meat and Milk i lost my akne, stopped my hairloss and my eyes get better so i need thinner glasses! Ididnt care if hes a guru,i didnt care about this childish fight between meaters and planters, IT WORKS FOR ME,so well that my Dr.said,he cant earn any money on me! Thx Tim

  • love your videos but quick question, PJ hopefully you can shed some insight cuz I love your mentality...I am training for CN tower climb april 16th ...I am a fit soccer player and managed to get 18:40 in 2009 but I wanna get under 15 minutes but I think my cardio is hurting...with regards to this video...what should I be looking at as a recovery time? one week prior before the race? I work out 5-6 times a week ...almost always legs strictly for soccer....thanks

  • This guy needs to go back to school...

  • He's a moron. Ability to supercompensate through restitution is a function of energy expenditure and generally calorie surplus. And I bet the protein intake in a big mac is higher than what he eats in a day in most cases. "OH BU YOU DON'T NEED PROTEIN; EAT ENZYMES". *sigh* enzymes are by definitino proteins, and if they are in vegetables are listed as such in their nutritional values, and they do not break down through normal heat application. All he says would be nice if it was just true.

  • How about I eat raw fruits and vegetables and also meat.

  • This guy has made several statements here that are not factual. As stated below by others, he's just another guru.

  • what do you think of sprouted beans and grains as part of a raw food diet?

  • Great explanation!

  • @blidelis processed foods have no enzymes therefore your pancrease is twice it's normal size. Processed foods are hard on the body

  • Processed food is easier to digest, don't listen to this guy

  • Such a BULLSHIT!

  • @Smoman17 Why? Can you refute it with facts? How do you explain how well this guy performs as an athlete?

  • @TheDaveWaddington His argumentation is nonsense. He says it is stressful to digest cooked meat. Cooked meat is denaturated protein, thats one of the easiest to digest macro-molocules you could take up. He says your body is busy 3 days digesting a cheeseburger... now how then do people do get fat if they take 3 days for one cheeseburger to take up? Did you ever measure your bloodsugar level after eating a hamburger bun? Just giving examples. This is just another "wannabe" health guru on youtube!

  • @Smoman17 I haven't eaten meat for 20 years and I've been doing just fine. I'm healthier, slimmer and look younger than most people my age. (Most guess me to be 10 years younger than I am.) The raw food diet is something I've come across recently. I've met a couple of raw food athletes and they've told me how much better they performed on a raw food diet. More energy, lower body fat, generally improved physical function. That's enough for me to give it a go.

  • @TheDaveWaddington Well, i didnt say that raw vegetables are bad for you! I said that his argumentation is ridiculous. I'm a fan of a well balanced diet that contains everything that humans ate for thousands of years and yes, meat is a part of that! All extreme ways of nutrition are wrong like with so many things in life. The mix does it ;)

  • Hey, what vitamin pills / supplements are you taking to make up for whatever you lack because you're depriving yourself of what humans ate and evolved on for millions of years ? If being vegan was so great then why are they at the clinics getting Iron shots and given Vitamin B12 capsules? Let's face it - a good sensible diet should be total hunter/gatherer - Fruits, Veg's, Grains, Legumes, Nuts, Seeds, Eggs, Poultry, Fish, Meat! This is what humans need to survive!

  • @DannyGrip1

although... grains were not part of hunter/gather diets. Grains have to be farmed...harvested...processed....heated (cooked). But yes, true paleo diets are great for health.

  • Regardless of the raw diet and any benefits of it, the beginning argument about exercise making you weaker is nonsense. Yes it makes you tired THEN. But excercise makes you stronger in the LONG RUN, which is the point. If you don't run a mile, you won't be tired. But you also won't build or work the muscles involved to make them stronger over time. Basic common sense there. I'm not going to make any argument for or against a raw diet, I just wanted to mention how off the point the open is

  • The first section of this, I was like, "Yeah, exercise makes you stronger! This guy is nuts!", then I was like, "OOOoooh, yeah I totally agree. Raw is awesome."

  • I member my first Protein Shake:)

  • ohhhhhhhh myyyyyy merrcyyyyyyyyy you are so on point. you presentation is what grabs me. i hate when people ramble. you're so good at what you do!!! yes :)

  • This guy is a very dynamic speaker and is really enthralling.

  • can you show me how dehydrated vegan foods are better than slightly cooked vegan foods?

slightly heated vegetables will not give much stress to your body.

  • @jacksonjacksonjjj No but when you cook foods you change the natural compounds. So if a food is fresh of the tree it is healthier raw because it is still living. But if you cook it then it changes the compound ,it's still healthy but not as potent because it loses nutrients.

  • @ave383 AND also when cookin'somethin' about 5 types of harmfull substances are borned in the cooking process : Akrelamides, Dietary AGE s ( Advanced Glycation Endproducts) , Nitrosamites, Heterossycletamines, Polisichlyc Aromatic Hydrocabons. So, these substances were not present in the food but they are the product of cooking, cause you know..heating something and combining is very similar to making a little chemistry in owr own kictchen. See Dr Rick Dina 's interview in Rawkathon series.

  • I'm becoming raw food eater !! from NOW !!

  • All my favorite Americans realise that america isn't the greatest country in the world lol

  • IF you can't afford Organic your pretty much screwed .... All those Pesticides on None organic leafty greens veggies and Fruit...........

  • Where living in the Ghost of the Greatest Country that Ever Was.. ...... Nicely said

  • This should be taught in school and well everywhere. Tim is so clever and eloquent.

  • Disagree whole heartedly. No exercise equals weak individuals. Eating right in order to recover - aka - protein intake, is what allows you to recover along w/ a good nights rest. Exercise brings energy and eating right brings energy. It is scientifically proven again and again by individuals who do it.

  • He's pretty eloquent speaker. I like that. The good thing, despite how my tongue thinks, about raw food is when you start this lifestyle, even for 5 months, your body will always let you know the food he or she likes. Even though you switch back to your past eating habits, there's no going back. Raw food, misteriously and obviously, is real food.

  • By the wat 5676977... possible aids cure... theres a patent on a hovercraft as well... funny

  • Sex is gone thanks to STDs. There isn't much left in America sadly... unless you want ignorance, injustice, and intolerance. d; 'u-tO-<

  • Maybe we should stop fighting... we're fighting to die instead of loving to live. Lets spend billions of dollars on Love Guns and kill each other with kindness. Imagine if the only disease was love... J/K I believe love is the source of all of life's problems. We're all idiots...

  • @Guesticle I am with you about this. Love is even sex relation. It's the most important thing in life by now. We was not going to be here if it was not it. So this "IT" is the most powerful thing too. Some do not think of sharing and selfishness is the great weapon for them. But when you think a little of what is most important in life and how can you keep it its getting closer. Of course. What? The hand? :D

  • The first try to reply I erased accidently. Now I only think that I am a vegetarian and that is more important than sleeping for me. :)

  • Dr. Doug Graham is an idiot.. for the most part.

  • Dr. Doug Graham is the most sane and logical raw foodist I have found... He shines light into a world that is so cloudy... the raw food world. Also, all food is poison now so nothing matters (codex alimentarius). Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • My friend... do you know that there are still countries where genetic foods and a lot of unreal toxic drugs haven't been accepted yet? Can you fight for this countries? Cause they would fight for yours! But the deal and whats hardest is to set the relationship with the surrounding closer people and your family. Cause people do not know what family is anymore. What is it? 2, or 3 families? wow... if it is that, then what is the border line in there? Who is who? What is what? Peace...

  • @humanov you are right... we have become a very selfish and pampered species and it is a shame. We should acknowledge this whole earth as one big family but that would require transparency and we are too pampered to feel comfortable being our own individual self. Oh well... latrix.

  • @humanov yes, but that will change soon, for the large american corporations are aggressively taking over those countries by all means, bullying & cheating being the main ones, & destroying the native agriculture by destroying their land to turn it ino factories & buildings. leaving no place for agriculture, Any space left, is being used to plant crosses.

  • I agree with what he's saying to an extent. There's a difference between high quality, free range meats and McDonald's. I personally enjoy a varied diet. Mostly raw, no refined sugars or white starches. And quality meat once or twice a day (depending on if I'm heavy lifting in the gym). When I've tried to be all raw, I felt empty, sickly, and unnatural. Also, my stomach can't handle a lot of enzymes.

  • Make sure you get plenty of variety of fruits 'n' veggies, plus raw organic superfoods, like goji berries, etc. I really like David Wolfe. David is the #1 expert on raw, organic superfoods. There's a really good cleansing product I like called Perfect Cleanse from Garden of Life. It just takes 7 days, and it's pretty easy on your system. Plus, if you've ever had antibiotics, you gotta get your gut repopulated with probiotic bacteria. Daniel Vitalis has some good data on this, as well. Cheers!

  • Another thing you might look at is when you go raw, your body starts detoxing. Those toxins get released out of the fatty tissues, and into the blood stream. In order to effectively eliminate these toxins, we need to make sure we get enough minerals, and in the right form. I supplement with inland sea water, as well I am taking a raw greens powder that has plant based minerals.

  • Actually, a healthy intestine has more bacteria than there are cells in the body. The trick is to have more beneficial bacteria than harmful ones. Raw foods greatly promote the good bacteria populations. The beneficial bacteria greatly strengthen your immune system,

I have many friends that eat raw and they rarely ever get sick. I eat mostly raw food and I no longer worry about colds or flu. Only people that have not given raw foods a chance will complain about raw foods.

  • don't forget that bacteria occurs in spinach, so cook your food. don't listen to this american bigot.

  • Well put. I think that if people stop thinking about what they can not have and what they can have from a raw food diet, they would be more likely to get on board! My hubby and I missed you at bonobos this year. When will you be back in Ny or near ny so we can come hear you speak? I think you have a great way of gettign the word out there! Kudos and Bravo to you for all that you are doing!

    To your health!

  • wow thank you for your informative information i have never seen a raw foodiest like you i have tired not eating nuts and seeds and its made me weak any advice on how thats happening and what foods i should eat to make sure am being strong

  • WOW i learn a lot from your videos, i had a vegetarian diet for 2 yrs, feel great but i want to go raw, your videos inspired me a lot

    thank you so much =)

  • oh your not getting vitamin b12! shocking! how many vitamins do you think people miss out on on the standard american diet? LOTS!

  • @conbhui I agree with a standard American diet and it's poor nutrition. But getting vitamin b12 through raw is not easy. It's a very important topic. People need to have knowledge about HOW to get b12 in their every day raw vegan life because if they don't it'll lead to anemia. And raw foods are supposed to be healing, not killing. The more knowledge people get about raw foods, the better off they're gonna be. Jumping into something complicated like RAW might lead to malnutrition too.

  • I think I'll try going vegan for a week. I don't know how I can part from raw human meat though. Crosing my fingers.

  • I'd invite anyone to show me where I lack vitamins in a raw food diet.

  • A vegetarian doctor told my dad to tell me to drink milk because I lack in vitamins B12.

  • This man is a nationalistic nutjob. Period.

I'm a vegan, have been for 7 years, and I'm a certified nutritionist in Saint Louis.

Most of what he argues is valid but he does not tell you that at the age of 56 he'll be in a wheelchair because of various deficiencies. Nor does he tell you why.

He gives Americans a bad name.

    Nutjob.

In any case, followers of his will find out for themselves. Painfully.

  • I know of people who've been in wheel chairs that eat meat. What's your point?

  • Um, i have seen 70 year olds who were raw vegans for 30 years and look way healthier/younger than anyone else their age. So I think you are a complete liar.

  • you sound like a guy who goes from one extreme to another.

Wrong, dickhead! after 5 hour marathon you need rest and in three days when you recovered YOUR STRONGER AND FASTER !!! it makes us weak right after but in the long run makes us better...just promote healthy lifestyle..always raw food is not fucking good and your a fucking moron

  • Eating enzymes, well most of it anyway, does not really do you the 'good' this guy keeps mentioning.

Most plant enzymes get broken down into peptides, just like any other protein, when we eat it.

Also, enzymes don't do all the work. They need a substrate, something to mold or cleave to produce a product (be it glucose or any other thing). So even if enzymes did not denature, they still need something to work on. That's where, 'stressful' foods come in.

  • Hmm.. I do have more energy in summer. Must be all those summer BBQs that give me it. Mmm.. Bbq'd pork must be good for you in that case.

  • its the vitamin d in the summer

  • well he's wrong encouraging no exercise..for example..u sit around/lay around too much u get weak, ur muscles get stiff & ur tendons draw up causing foot drop & inability to walk..u also get short of breath cuz ur heart which is a muscle also needs exercising (which is shortening a muscle/then relaxing it) ..the heart muscles get relaxed which weakens it, u get a high pulse rate..& get congestive heart failure, poor circulation, etc. u exercise, ur heart rate lowers to normal healthy rate.

  • He is not encouraging no exercise, KokonutIdiot1. Listen carefully. He encourages exersize in addition to rest. It's just a teaser to make you think... what grows muscles? rest. What is needed before rest? exersize.

  • I agree with what he says .But why people who eat eggs , chicken etc can make more muscles ?

  • OK, don't eat meat, just means more for ignorant folk like myself.

  • LOL

  • what is this guy's name?

  • I think the harder it was for our ancestors to get (it's easier to get fruits and veggies, than it is to hunt for meat.)nthe less wee need it. The easier a food is to get, the more our body needs. If you actually think about it.

  • LOL well if thats true, then its easier to pull up to McDonald's or Wendy's and say "gimme a double cheeseburger, fries, & a coke..and oh yeah..supersize it" That's the next generation, haha

  • Can you instead of telling us 'it heals' or 'it stresses', quote examples and say how it does that? A concept is pointless if there is no evidence, I believe we are omnivores for a reason.

  • watch these videos

    THE PROTEIN MYTH

    RAW VEGAN MYTH

  • Those videos don't really have substance. It's just more incessant vegan rhetoric, without any empirical (or even sane hypothetical) basis. They claim that they are eating the diet of strong mammals, yet all look like they would get their asses kicked by the wind...

  • I agree w/you..im gonna stay an omnivore too..life is for enjoyment and purpose..I will add more raw to my diet but I dont wish to get too skinny & emaciated w/my eyes sunk back in my head like these folks..also notice their skin color..its not a healthy pink but looks ashen, colorless..they have no body fat true, its just skin over bone..we need some body fat, as it is storage for when its needed during illness & cold elements.

  • "also notice their skin color..its not a healthy pink but looks ashen, colorless"

It's a fucking youtube grainy video you idiot.

  • @LierreKeith, shoot your foul mouthed comments off to your mother's inbox you rude verbose buffoon..dont direct your comments to me..I could careless what you think and not all the videos are grainy, this is one of many and his color is the same..i doubt you could assess your own back orifice.

  • kokonutbaby1, you are racist. You know what happened to me during my child years? I was eating lots of meat, eggs, whey, and fish, and doing weight lifting. I didn't gain weight and people told me I was white, very white.. Then I stopped eating meat and people told me I was white. Wow! No change. You are racist to white people.

  • Theres NO logical reason to do so

  • i do!

  • tthis about raw diet:allowing your body to health.GREAT WORDS.

  • No muscle mass, look eminciated.

Yes i belive Eating Raw Fruits and Vegetables is a Part of Healty Nutrition.

BUT grass fed, Eggs,Chicken, turkey and some whey protein that Give all the complete amino acids is still essential in my opinion , PLus essential Fatty Acids(Omega 3 et Omega 6).

  • dude you need to check out a guy Named IGOR BOUTENKO

hes 53, been a Raw Vegan for 15 yrs, hes 5' 10 " and 190 lbs solid muscle, he can do 1,000 Push ups in 1 set !

Organic Fresh Greens are LOADED with excellent quality Amino Acids

Humans are naturally by design Raw Vegans, its indisputable

  • Very true... we are totally designed to be vegans, and yes, raw ones for sure.

    Good Health

  • the brains of our ancestors grew because of the nutrients and minerals in meat, and if you eat it 1-2 times per week the body has plenty of time to heal

  • Speaking as a physician, I respectfully disagree with you. Also, there are very plausible and well researched theories stating that when certain wild plants and fungal spores(ie mushrooms) became part of the food web there was a quantum increase in cognitive ability, speech and phonation skills and even spiritual awareness. Wishing you very good health.

  • any nutritious addition to the diet of our ancestors would've been a catalyst for increased cognitive ability, after leaving the safety of the trees, and being force to hunt/gather on land for a whole new set of foods that included both meat and plant matter. Our ancestors craved meat, and not because it was going to kill them! On the contrary...

  • No they grew because of the amino acids. They couldn't shop around for those amino acids like we can. So your point is useless.

  • Watch this video

    Raw Vegan Myth

  • He looks way healthier than any other 40 year old I have seen. And I am sure he has plenty of muscle, just because it is not HUGE muscle doesn't mean it's not there.

  • My personal opinion is that people didn't always have fire to cook with. A pure vegetarian diet would have been easiest for really ancient people, the planet used to have alot of more jungles and forests full of food. It's also my opinion that 98% of people think that human race has a very simple past, but I know it was WAY stranger then most would ever believe.

  • We've evolved though, our bodies have adapted to eating cooked food and cooking with fire.

  • try eating raw for a month and you will see what you are missing. you will have energy and health that you never before thought was possible. fruits and veges are packed with live enzymes and living vitamins (vita - living, min - minerals). we can make our own enzymes but why? some enzymes speed up the digestion hundreds of times for particular nutrients.

  • we can only make some enzymes, there are thousands in plant life

  • great comment

You'll notice that all these people claiming that the raw vegan diet is wrong and bad for humans, have NEVER actually tried it themselves !

  • I like to ask people to think about how they feel in summertime, I like to give them time to think about it and ask them if they feel they have more energy than in the winter season and they always say yes and well they will tell you it's the sun, which is true but in the summertime we weat much more raw foods, more salads, fruits etc...bingo

  • storyetime, in the summer time I get the heck out of the heat & under some a/c asap..I live where its hot/humid & I just wait for it to pass..I dont think eating raw food has anything to do w/how people feel in summer...most people go swimming to keep cool, are more active cuz its not raining or cold or bad weather where u have to stay in so much bored stiff...people can & do eat salads & fruit in cold weather as well..

  • Its obvious by a study of Human Anatomy and Physiology, that Humans are naturally Designed to be Raw Vegans

    its Indisputable

  • my instincts tell me when i eat on leafs and that kind of food i am not a cow :) and i am doing something stupid......so i read a lot of books about people who still live like in stone age...and still go around naked, and how they live , thats ultimate proof to me that modern man has just went far away from his roots, lost identity, its so great to see that simplicity of life...thins that are important for life

  • Eat your vegan food as nature delivers it to you

    RAW

  • but where did people get the idea to go raw when even people from paleolit age ate fish meat , only women were eating things like potatos and more vegetables less protein...this all thing with vegan looks like modern man twisted approach to the nature------those people crave for meat but wont admitt so stuff themselves with x kg of vegetables nuts

  • why should you drink a lot...you shoud drink then the same as you eat, when the body tells you! you copying this drinking myth from doctors nutricionist....bla bla, i never understood this thing with overdrinking yourself

  • How much Water you should drink depends on Your Diet.

A Raw Organic Vegan diet provides ALOT of excellent water with the food ! Just drink alot of Green Vegetable Juices

  • He's dead on here.

  • RED MEAT IS UNDER RATED

  • Not when it comes to IGF-1 production. Yea, meat kills ya tough guy. lol

  • Sally Fallon would fry this guy in butter and serve him to her children.

  • Love to see that, she'd shred him!

  • wow, that was awesome!

  • hes doing the 80 10 10 diet

  • i have a question .. what about ppl trying to lose weight... should they go raw ? or what semi - raw ?

  • 100 % Raw and Organic

  • yes, if you go totally raw, you can eat all you want and pounds will fall off. beware of a detox effect, so a gradual transition would be better. toxins are locked up in fat, our toxic diets, on top of MSG being in every processed food you can imagine, even the synthetic vitamins they add have been shown to be laced with MSG... MSG is used in labs to make rats OBESE, its 100% effective for them.

  • just take e3live algae

  • people tying to lose weight should eat less than what they burn

if you eat 1600 calories. burn 1550 calories.

the more you burn the more weight you will lose

what you eat does not really matter in losing weight

but to eat healthier is better because you still need the nutrients

  • most obesity is a result of toxicity, calorie counting is not necessary. if you eat raw the weight will shed no matter the calorie balance. hunger will tell you when and when not to eat, and make sure you drink lots of spring water. no book, surgery, diet or idea of ours can compare to the body's own intelligence. you basically just want to eat like a wild animal, fresh picked is the best.

  • yes there are people who still eat like wild animals they throw their food directly from nature into the fire and eat it later....noone eats raw meat, they make something bread like out of vegetables...eating 100% raw makes no sense at all. but definatelly has some good implications for people who start with it...because they get rid of some bad habbits from the past

  • I have been eating raw vegan for 30 days.

My acne is disappearing, my skin is soft and smooth, my lifelong stomach problems are gone ( perfect digestion/elimination) I have more energy, sleep better and feel better emotionally and mentally. Results speak for themselves. The majority of people who bash this diet have never even tried it.

As far as doctors and "experts" are concerned, just remember that less than 50 years ago, electrocution was considered a valid method of psychotherapy.

  • Deadly Chemotherapy is considered the ' official' treatment of Cancer by Medicine.

That speaks obviously as to the Insanity of our medical system . Also dont forget Medicine in the early 1900s used to bleed paitents if they were sick

They finally realized how many Paitents they were killing by this method and then stopped it ! It was the ' outsiders ' who were NOT Drs who were the ones that brought this to their attention

    Raw Veganism is Truth

  • I need to get me some raw foods. im hungry.

  • Tim:

I would like very much to know where you get these theories from. Where is the data, either imperical or anecdotal?

On what do you base these ideas?

I am not saying you are wrong, I am doing my due diligence.

  • DMO

Think very deeply of what he is saying, Use your own clear objective thinking about this subject . To me everything he is saying is actually common sense, and shown to be true by My individual experience also

go in the Direction of what makes sense to you

  • LHO

My 'thinking deeply' is irrelevant. I don't know what he is taking about so 'thinking deeply' would be of no use.

My 'clear objective' is not clear. Who's is?

Little of what Tim is saying is common sense, to me. And if this info is 'shown to be true' then it will not be hard to show me the proof, will it?

    Show me the proof!

The direction that makes sense to me is to ask for proof. Do you have any proof?

Can you point me to any proof?

    Thanks

  • DMO

The proof is my example, ive already done in my life experience what Tim is explaining

Thats all the Proof i need !

  • Show me the opposite proof with a independant!!! study.

I don't need to prove anything as I am making no claims. Tim is making BIG claims and it is not asking too much for a little proof. But since you asked nicely, I have provided some proof for protein intake for athletes, and regular people.

The LACK of proof for Tim's claims are a huge red flag to me.

  • who paid for this studies? the milk industry? or the meat industry?

    I asked for independant studies.

I see the good effect on me and others that do vegan raw. wouldn´t read this ever. Show me a picture and a blood screen of the authors, I want to see how healthy they look and their blood, and then at those of TimVanOrden....

    hahahaha

  • Dr Mark Tarnopolsky is an accomplished multi sport athlete and is in superb health. His funding comes from McMaster University and his papers (and the others) are peer reviewed and good science. I have provided my proof. Where is yours?

Are you referring to live cell blood screening? I did not think that anyone still believe in that. It is no better that tea leaf reading. Really, please get a grip on reality.

  • He only writes about deseases? And weak and old peolple.

And how he can improve them a little bit with giving people lots of lots of certain proteins? That they have to take continuously all their live, to just improve their illnesses and weaknesses a little bit?

    wow.

can I have a interview with one of his patients and how he felt.

Raw foodist improve their personal health for longer, and dont need to write 50 books how they improved sick people a little bit.

    so this is your source?

  • I have provided some of the TONNE of proof that is out there.

    Where is yours.

    Put up or shut up.

  • Tarnopolsky MA, Atkinson SA, MacDougall JD, Chesley A, Phillips S, Schwarcz HP. "Evaluation of protein requirements for trained strength athletes". Journal of Applied Physiology 1992 Nov; 73 (5): 1986-1995. PMID 1474076

Not a paper on the weak or old. What on earth are you talking about?

Please provide some proof for your statements, or do us all a favor and set up your own lab, get your own funding, and proof for what you are talking about.

Otherwise, I am done talking with you.

  • I dont believe in "science" and "titles". You do.

    I believe in my experience.

Drink your protein-shakes and read your books, and I continue eating raw food, then we meet again and struggle, ok?

There were times when scientists said that earth is flat, and sun goes round the earth. You still believe in what people with titles say, just because of their title.

Sorry I believe in expieriencable experience, especially in mine....

I dont have to prove something that is so clear, thats it..

  • variolaa said: "I dont believe in "science" and "titles". You do.

    I believe in my experience."

In case you weren't joking (and I'm hoping that you were joking):

Seriously, you don't believe in science, it's method, and the provisional body of knowledge that leads to the technology that allows you to view YouTube and type responses? You prefer anecdotal experience?

Please give your computer, phone, TV, and long life to someone that will "believe", and return yourself to the Middle Ages.

  • Titles and Credentials are actually somewhat MEANINGLESS

The world has BILLIONS of People with Credentials and Titles, and its a mess right now !

What the world needs is NOT more egotistical arrogant Titles or ' Credentials ' or Degrees proudly dispalyed on someones wall , geez we have ENOUGH of that already !

Whats needed now is Rational, Logical clear common sense and Critical thinking skills, and that is not given to you by Credentials , Degrees or Titles.

  • especially when doctors can't even diagnose simple illnesses. i think science has started making people stupid. nobody looks for answers anymore they go straight to somebody called a scientist for all the answers.

  • Medicine is a failure

  • That's funny, considering our predominately raw/doctor free ansecestors had a much earlier mortality rate than us.

  • You might enjoy Don Tolman. He has discovered cultures that are disease free, don't have "doctors," live on average to be over 100 yo, having children past 100. AND, they've been doing it a LONG time. So, what's the TRUE history of our "ancestors?"

  • @worryphree I'll read up on it. Really. Maybe you can look into evolutionary biology. Not being a dick, but it is intresting to look at the facts vs. opinions of these "raw gurus". Cheers

  • @BaileyLush Of course! And what we've been indoctrinated(educated) to BELIEVE is to blindly trust the "official" pronouncements of govt. scientists, nutritionists, and medical professionals, as well as priest, rabbi's, etc. Here's another tidbit: Prabhadhai Jani has been officially recognized through vigorous scientific observation to survive purely on sunlight. The Essenes were destroyed by the Romans for teaching people they could free themselves from karma by eating raw plant diet/meditation

  • @worryphree I've heard about that study. I've also heard that it wasn't conclusive by any means. If the studies were so vigirous and elaborate, point me towards some documented evidence. Your beliefs (which are just beliefs), may be the product of goal oriented indoctrination 2. If you would just do away with sciene, then there is nothing we can quantify. Might as well just state there are invsible midgets streaking everywhere. Why not, anything goes!

  • lol@you

  • Thank you!

  • @BaileyLush

Em in the east where people eat less meat.

Buddist monks who are known to get as old as 110 to 130 years old, ofcourse they do alot of meditation but still all the dangers that come from ¨heavy* meat is not worth it

  • I agree that some meats have inherent dangers to them. I won't touch beef or pork myself. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this diet or more general veganism or vegatarianism. I just think it's annoying when people make extravagent/unsubstantiated claims regarding human nutrition.

  • Doctors nowdays prefer to just give you a prescription of some drugs, just so you leave the office faster, that way they can see more people and make MORE MONEY.

  • I will talk to you, when you learn to read.

And when you learn to think and feel on your own. Untill that you can go everyday to some titeled spezialist and ask him how you feel today, this is your world.

    to rational shizophrenic

  • Dearest variolaa,

There were so many problems with your response I'm not sure where to begin, but let is suffice to say simply "Congratulations" on your clever word play on my username.

Reminds me of they way kids play in the sandbox.

  • You are correct

Just think of this, For the last 50 yrs America has followed the advice of the Dieticians and Nutritionists , who have ' degrees ' and Society approved academic ' credentials '

and where did that get us ? MORE disease, MORE premature aging, MORE early death when we should of been learning about MORE life !

so called Nutritional 'science' and ' titles' For years told us to eat Steak , Eggs, Pastas etc.

WE know now for a fact they were WRONG

  • Dr. Mark Tarnopolsky is very asthenic and thin, he is a neuologist who specialized on deseases, that involve neurological innervation of muscles, he tries to heal these different diseases with eating protein.

My Opinion on this is, that lots of neurological deseases are autoagressive, and that lots of concentrated proteins will make a immuneresponse more likely, than avoiding them. I dont know how many corticosteroides he gave them with it, and I dont want to know it. I still will be veganraw.

  • 1 ounce of Common Sense , Logical Clear Objective critical thinking

is worth more than 1000 pounds of Degrees and Titles

Simple Pure Down to Earth common sense will NEVER go out of style, its the foundation and Bedrock of the Natural Human Experience

  • 911hasNOplanes

    I like you

  • Where can I got all his videos as one. Could someone tell me if Van is also aware that raw food contains loads of hydrogen peroxide which is good for energy. The reason why raw foodists have so much of energy is because their bodies consume a lot of H2O2 which cooked food does not have(even a raw subway, forget the bread will not have H2O2 as it breaks down if you cut vegetables and leave to "release water").

Is he aware of this have u heard him talk about it. You need to spray H2O2 on crops as
