Where can you buy those LED's, at a hobby store? I would love to hook my RGB Ecto-1 with them. I used to have battery operated Christmas lights, but they shorted out.
I am restoring my ecto 1a at the moment, i have made some metal backed labels and custom dekulz for the car aswell. I have also upgraded mine with mesh and photoetch metal, brass etc.
let me know if your gonna sell it once its all complete, it would look sweet next to my custom 1/21 scale diecast ecto 1 that i had customized to light up with the flashers and lights.
Actually I do plan to do these things, first is the digital message boards on the sides of the vehicle and the arrow stick on the rear of the vehicle.
nice job, it would look even better if you could do the rest of it, meaning the lights on the rear tank to flash the green color, the strobe bar over the front lights, the headlights and orange runner light on the grille, and maybe somehow get the electronice billboards to light up on the side of the roof rack, but so far so good, two thumbs up so far.
Used Testor's White Gloss with an airbrush. Finished with Testor's High Gloss Clear Coat.

I plan on just making the boards flash back and forth from word to word. Though I'd like to make them look more realistic by using smd's.
