No, Celine Dion did not sing the original version of this; Eric Carmen recorded it twenty years earlier than Dion! I don't see the purpose of recording a cover specifically for the soundtrack, as that's just pointless. Yes, it's better than Dion's version, but Carmen's version? Absolutely not! Slapdash editing and unsuited vocals makes this one of the worst songs I have ever heard and almost certainly the worst cover. A crying shame; the song itself is good, just diabolically performed.
