  • perchance is that boots randolph on saxaphone???

  • @renofirvine Didn't have access to that information.

  • My father with his group the Wisemen sang the background for this song "Bossa Nova" I remember when Tippy would come over to the house & practice w/ my dad & the rest of the fellas in their original group called the... The Wisemen. By that time, years had already passed since they were groovin in their prime Those were some good ole days... Al, Tippy, Hess & Toy in my living room... Thanks Daddy for always teaching me those oldies, you planted the seed for my desire to sing !

  • @HollyWoodGrammys Thanks for sharing those wonderful memories with us.

  • Awesome, I didn't know this existed. I just posted a version of "Please Mr. Sun" by Tippie and the Clovermen on Stenton, has to be the same group but didn't connect it up with possibly being members of the Clovers. Doh! Thanks for making this available.

  • @deepgroovesounds You are welcome.

  • Love it! Tnx for the post! ;))

  • @LolaDijon You are welcome.

  • Thanks for posting. I love this tune and I haven't heard it in years. I'm a big Presley fan but this knocks his cover into a cocked hat. Often the way with Elvis covers, funnily enough...

  • You are welcome. I wasn't even aware of this version until late last year & I agree. I love Elvis's version, but this one really hit the spot. Thanks for the comments.
