Not even necessarily a huge uppercut but even a mid-power one could have won this fight within the first minute if you capitalized on an opening. I understand though, it's easier said than done and you should fight how you want to.
I think you would do A LOT better if you didn't hesitate as much. I've watched a few of your videos and have seen several situations where you could have but didn't capitalize because you don't want to take the risk of leaving yourself open. I think you should throw more uppercuts as-well, when this guy has his guard up he's leaving his chin completely exposed.
Good fight man! Was it fun? Everytime I fight I think it's fun! Even when I just about get dropped lol but I never got drop before, boxing gives you this amazing feeling no other sport has.. Even when you get rocked.. You go right in instinct mode, it's just truly amazing
Well heres some tips. 1st time your jab look more for angles. When u Duck down DO it with your knees its hard to explain I just learn ed how to properly doge and shit from Ross Thompson a well Know pro.3 KEEP YOUR HANDS UP AT ALL TIMES. Really Some ppl will swarm u like that.
you pretty much fought the toughest kind of fighter you can face in the amateurs - tall guy who knows how to back up and throw... did a lot better than me when i fought, good work.
Great dips and great stamina. Seems like you threw a lot of wild punches? Going for the KO? It might just be me. Seems like something that could cost you against a better boxer.
Congratulations .I liked the fight.you fought clever against taller opponent. It s always good to post some videos in youtube showing your fights since there are a lot of people in youtube that give advise about street fighting who have never stepped into the ring.
Are you allowed to lock someone's arm/hand in boxing like the red shirt guy was doing? He was basically holding the other guy's hand in some parts of the fight so he couldnt use it.
That was good. I did like the footwork, timing and controlling the distance. I like how you made that mofo stop dancing and how he started to respect you. I am glad you are getting more aggressive from your first two fights.
@thekoolestguyaaa yeah.. but what happends if u get into a fight with a grappler he will trow u down and then...or boxing is nothing.... cause every 1 in street fights wanna catch the other guy and trow him down..
@KONIStheGREEK Really? So when you see a brawl outside a bar, and you have a group of people bashing the shit out of each other, its really just them trying to throw each other to the ground? How fascinating. Im not a Boxer, but even if the other guy was a BJJ Black Belt or somesuch, he likely wouldnt be picking fights in the first place.
@Caeviens no m8 i just wanna say most ppl in fights... they are trying to catch u... or they will hit u with a fail cross... most ppl hit like they are swimming (if u know what i mean)
@sixfouimpala huge difference, boxing would be like dancing ballet, and muay thai like dancing in a club. like boxing you'd train proper form for hours in muay thai you'd throw strikes at a bag or something else til your bones are steel. i don't know if you'd get it, i guess you kinda gotta do both to understand
Hey bro, I play basketball, I just came off a track season and etc. I am considering joining boxing. I'd like to know, What's the type of conditioning you do when it comes to training in the ring and out side of the ring. I am very interested.
@RedNYello505 Hey. I was BOXING for about 6 months before my first match. But don't forget that I had been training and competing in Muay Thai for about 4 years.
im just wondering is it wrong that the guy you were boxing was so flat footed in the beginning?when i wrestle im always on my toes but i notice the other guy had his whole foot planted
Boxing is for black or Mexicans , mma for whites and brazilians haha
