As for its legality going away, that's very unlikely. It would require the balance of the Supreme Court to change a great deal (unlikely, given that Obama appears to be winning rather well and is liberal on abortion), OR, it would require the U.S. Constitution to be amended to disallow abortion (unlikelier, given that it would not get enough votes).

I don't support abortion (except in extreme cases) and have never claimed to. I am simply aware of the fact that it will not be made illegal anytime soon. Hopefully, more states will restrict the circumstances under which a woman can have an abortion, but I know it won't happen at a national level for at least a decade, if not two or three.
