dude i need ur help.I want to buy this card, i got a 450watt psu a q8400(overclocked 3.22ghz) and a asus p5kpl-am epu .first will my psu handle it and will the card cover with its cooler the 2nd pci slot(the slot i got my sound card)? my 9800gt didnt,it just covered the 1st!plz answare if you know ;)

@lelos14 as far as the power supply, how many amps does it give out on its 12v rail and what brand is it.and no it shouldn't cover the pci slot adjacent to it

@lelos14 i would probably suggest getting a higher power psu. mines just the bluestar gold. SLI ready psu for like 50 bucks or something like that. its a 680 watt with a 48amp 12v rail and a 6 pin video card connector. its a good one ive used this one for about a year on a gtx580 with no problems at all

@lelos14 The slot your sound card is in is just a regualr pci slot. For this and about any graphics card nowadays is only going to fit into either the agp or the pci express slot

k guys i need help badly.i bought one of these today and i put it in and all i got was a black screen on my desktop.all fans and that were going. it says in minimum sys req that i need

pci express 2.0:i got that,two 6-pin pci express sup power connecters:i have adapters for them. minimum 450w psu:got that.pentium 4 got that

NOW it says i need 2gb ram but 4 are required but i only got 1.5gb ram.could that be the prob.im getting heaps of ram tomorrow. please help

Hi, Pentium 4 with PCI-E 2.0 ? Sounds weird...

Sometimes BIOS doesn't recognize the new display output. Try a CMOS reset.

@minecrafting129 I had that problem when i built a computer for my friend. I took out one of the ram sticks after turning the pc off, booted it again and the screen turned on after that. I'm not sure why that happened, but try it and see :) at a later date, my friend added the other stick and it seemed to mess up his windows install, but he reinstalled windows and its been superb ever since. Hope this helps :)

This i7 860 was slightly overclocked (base clock raised from 133 to 140, RAM was on 1600 instead of 1333). But also without that overclocking a 860 has really more than enough computing power, for sure also for next GPU generation.
