In all honesty, Hogan vs Flair in the WWF around this time in 1991 really sucked...Im glad they went with Savage vs Flair @ WM VIII instead of Hogan vs Flair...thank you Vince McMahon, at least u did something right.
You have to wonder what could have been if Hogan wasn't exiled due to steroids and Flair v Hogan wasn't used on the house show scene but was saved for WM.
Flair was built up well in 91. However i think the hype generated by saving Flair/Hogan for WM and by having Flair look dominant as champion between January and then (instead of losing tag matches and getting DQs on every house show) would have set up the dream match to end all dream matches (even if it would have been better in 1988 or so)
@WCWMondayNitroOnYT2 TNA has great talent there in their locker room that they just are not using to their full potential. Dixie puts too much faith in Hogan and Bischoff to carry the show. The fact that they also only have 2 hours, it just doesn't give them enough time to effectively showcase what they can bring. You know they can bring it, but they just don't. WCW was like that near the end of their tenure.
@PopoZaO323 Well, TNA needs her money, but she doesn't seem to have the best method for running a wrestling company. If she was able to find someone who actually knew how to do that, she could put them in charge. I wouldn't mind Bischoff himself, but if Hogan has anything to do with it, it will fail. Hogan is stuck in the past. He does not realize that fans want to watch TNA for something different.
@PopoZaO323 Nope. Thats replacing quality with quantity. That is not the problem here. The problem is, not enough air time. With not enough air time, their programing is sporadic, and confusing, Story lines are constantly changing each week in TNA, and it's just hard to keep up with. I don't want a soap opera, but I do want better rivalries, not Beer Money turning Heel or face every couple months. With the size of their roster, they need more TV time. Atleast they could try something on the net.
@WCWMondayNitroOnYT2 Really now? Would you call the Robo Cop angle, and the Shock Master angle better than anything TNA has put out? I'm talking about the complete cheese era that was Early 90's WCW! It was full of crap! It wasn't until Monday Nitro came along that they started doing some decent wrestling programs. And yeah, I watch TNA weekly. I seriously don't see how it compares. It's boring, I will give you that, it seems like they are trying to fit too much into such little time.
@WCWMondayNitroOnYT2 I still say they got owned, lol! The whole thing with Flair coming to WWF at the time was out of spite for WCW management at the time who was taking a big dump on WCW with some of the crappiest, dumbest angles anyone has ever seen in wrestling history. Flair in WWF really did it for WCW at the time.

@aaronfowlowmusic totally agree with you here. maybe dixie carter stepping down (reportedly as of right now) will help the company?

@aaronfowlowmusic true. what if tna merged with roh with heyman and bischoff at the reins? would THAT make for legitimate competition?
