  • @rongravy there is no heaven, just what you make of life mate.

  • He's just great.

  • all those years listening to Death Disco (one of my faves) I never knew the story behind it .

  • There's a place down there in Heavan right next to Frank Zappa for Johhny.

    No rush, though...

  • Lydon represents the last true honest voice in loud music. I would say Leonard Cohen, but he allowed himself to be inducted into the R.R. Hall of shame.

  • great guest ... shame about the tarquins on the prog.

  • hes much nicer then he used to be

  • right there with you dude about the left side. I think it's the headphones. I don't have speakers connected so I have no way to cross check it.

  • What a wonderful interview. Nice one. I like this footage. I have never seen PiL live on stage. I really want to see them and also The Sex Pistols!

  • Yes I don't know what went wrong there.

  • So there are no whole versions of Rise and Religion??? That sucks

  • GriefTourist, thanks for getting this up, man. I can,t get the BBC player to work on any of my computers. Did you happen to get a recording of the band doing Religion? If you could put that up you would be more than awesome. If you could find them doing Seattle, I will name one of my kids after you. Cheers.

  • I missed Religion , but someone else has said they'll upload it.

  • Goddamn I wish john Mcgeoch were still alive. I could give a rat's ass if Wobble and Levine are too old and pissy to work together on this. Screw em. Give me Lydon, Smith, and Edmonds any day. Metal Box was an amazing album, but the one that made the band magical to me was Happy. Hearing Seattle and Fat Chance Hotel for the first time was like losing my virginity. HAHAHHAHA

  • Don't forget Allan Dias on bass, long serving from 86 - 92 - would have liked to see him back in the line up !

  • He is hard to forget. I met the man once. He could certainly throw back a beer-LOL. I,m not sure why he wasn't brought back. I know that his departure from the band wasn't necessarily pretty. He was getting heavy into drugs and drinking. He is an amazing player. I often wonder what he's up to these days. I would like to see all the old members chime in on the new tour. I,m curious what Atkins has to say about it all and whether or not he was approached.

  • He's alive and well in NYC. You're right, i think he pretty much left for self survival reasons but i don't think it went down too well at the time. I know he wasn't approached but would have loved to have been involved !

  • he has never done drugs and will never do them cos of sid vicious watch the filth and the fury

  • I've seen it. We were talking about Allan Dias by the way. John Lydon has done tons of drugs in his day. He was a notorious speed user during the Pistols and the early PIL days. There is also plenty of pics of him smoking pot during his trip to Jamaica after the Pistols broke up. The early days of PIL had plenty of speed and pot and a fair of amount of cocaine in the mix. Keith Levine was a heroin addict so it is possible that John tried it. Who's to say? Not me or you.

  • I think he says in his book that he tried Heroin once.

  • I would be surprised if he hadn't. Hanging with Keith all those years must of come with some experimentation. I've often wondered if he ever smokes pot any more. He probably doesn't, but I like to think he does. LOL

  • @GriefTourist Nah he said he was never into it after seeing his friend destroyed by it

  • He was a true speed freak.

  • kottonkandyx you are way way misinformed. john used to do speed like there was no tomorrow. he just never did heroin. but specially during the early days of pil. he was speeding out of his mind constantly.

  • @madferit4life yeah, your right i was misinformed, thats for correcting me!

  • he has actually done some drugs but stopped. filth and the fury wasn't completely accurate. the man said it himself

  • yeah same, I thought John and Allan got along, why didn't John bring him back instead of some guy who was never been part of the pil line up?
