The door policy is perfect! They filter all undesirable people: posers, drunks and druguies are not welcome. No one chewing their faces, people are quite polite and nice when you talk to them.
Music was fine not great, sound system is good but I have seem better.

Well, you need to look like you're to dance for hours and hours. They don't want people who just stand and watch, so don't come in high-heels or pumps and mini-skirt, that's not what the Berghain is about.
It's not about posing. Look stylish and cool but not too overdressed or preppy.
And sometimes it's just bad luck but all in all it's not about model-looks, that's why the atmopshere is so special there.

i am so lucky to go there twice and everytime i was lucky to get in, I have no idea how they picked people in, but i think you need to look cool, not cheezy look, but european cool, and it's gay club so if you are gay, it's highly possible to get in, but under this circumstance, 1. no shouting 2. no big groups, 3. no acting like north americans 4. speaking english should be ok but with people from differnt countries, just keep low key... no VIP and then u can enjoy the best music on the planet

Its AMAZING just got back from Berlin and had two of the best Sunday afternoons spent dancing in Panorama bar. The door is pretty tough in the evening but thats a GOOD thing as its stops idiots getting in a spoiling the atmosphere. I have been there many times now and it gets better with every visit so GO GO GO. As for do's and dont's dont overdress its really not that kind of place and dont go in a big group as Sven on the door can be tough on them. Have fun if you go.

@WKDJamie I went last weekend. Keep your head down, don't dress up, don't be loud, don't be too jolly, don't go in a large group and don't speak (English). I noticed that the people that got turned away were folk that looked under 25 and dressed overly trendy. Sounds extreme but that's how you will get in. It's worth it though, as once you're inside it's fucking immense.

To the author of this - you should be ashamed! Berghain does not have many rules, but one is no photos/videos! This means that people can feel free to do what they like without fear of their privacy being infringed upon by seeing themselves on the internet! Can you not observe a simple rule? @cymen1 well as you can tell from my name i'm not english, i'm scottish and we have a very good name abroad. we weren't being loud, we were talking amongst ourselves when a german in normal clothes came up to us and started to poke my friend in the chest and kept telling him to calm down, we tried to walk away but he kept following us so my friend pushed him and told him to fuck off, he started throwing punches but we split it up and tried to get out of there, he turned out to be a bouncer

The club is divided in two parts, Panoramabar (upstairs) and Berghain. On Fryday's only Panoramabar is opened, there's a good mix of people. On Saturday (till Sunday late....) there are about 70% gay people down under in Berghain, but it's you own choice to go there. There's still a lot of men/women flirting ... Just make sure to have FUN
the rule is for the protection of people who come and have a good time and not to worry about being on the internet the next day. clearly, we dont see any recognisable face, so this isn't even a video in the sense of surveillance. so chill out people worried about rules...

I do agree, I do agree!!! For me this is also one of the World Leading Clubs! But you have to know the right spots in the Netherlands. Come and take a look this Saturday in Catwalk, Rotterdam: Raresh (Cocoon, RO), Joey Daniel (300MPH, We Are E, NL), Hilbert Stoon (Piekup, NL). Other clubs are in Europe like Souvenir in Barcelona that look verry much like Berghain.
i still prefere robert johnson in offenbach..smaller..better soundsystem..better people..is free like berghain but you will never seen that dirty things like in berghain

Berghain is perfect, I have been there 3 weeks ago. Bouncers are really cool and chilled people, and com'oooooon, we was talking with that ale"scarry" Sven and he was very pleasant guy!
I like Berghain, there is no restrictions with havig fun, in that case U can do everything what U want, be naked and dance like nobody's watching U. there's no irksome photographers or other stuff...
by the way, I don't like that U took Ur camera indoors,but it's not my business. the only good thing is now,that everybody can see how incredible is there.

@WKDJamie I went last weekend. Keep your head down, don't dress up, don't be loud, don't be too jolly, don't go in a large group and don't speak (English). I noticed that the people that got turned away were folk that looked under 25 and dressed overly trendy. Sounds extreme but that's how you will get in. It's worth it though, as once you're inside it's fucking immense.

To the author of this - you should be ashamed! Berghain does not have many rules, but one is no photos/videos! This means that people can feel free to do what they like without fear of their privacy being infringed upon by seeing themselves on the internet! Can you not observe a simple rule? Have some respect! And the bouncers are decent people! If you are too loud or drunk, you dont get in. Berghain is kept for people who appreciate and love it - the rest can fuck off!

You were probably to young and stereotype UK guy. You not getting in has nothing to do with you being English and from the UK. The tattooed faced bouncer looks half Turkish and they also have black Negro bouncer, so these guys are anything but racist.
I also wonder how they figured out you were English. Because you were noisy like the stereotype UK guy? Berghain is no place for those kind of people. I've spoken English in line in front of the bouncers and had no problems getting.

@cymen1 well as you can tell from my name i'm not english, i'm scottish and we have a very good name abroad. we weren't being loud, we were talking amongst ourselves when a german in normal clothes came up to us and started to poke my friend in the chest and kept telling him to calm down, we tried to walk away but he kept following us so my friend pushed him and told him to fuck off, he started throwing punches but we split it up and tried to get out of there, he turned out to be a bouncer

@cymen1 and when we got downstairs we were surrounded by about 8 of them. they tried to drag my friend off to another room to batter him but we intervened and fought them. we were outnumbered though so lost. i wonder if these guys would come to scotland and treat us like that? of course they wouldn't fucking cowards. also, this sort of thing would never happen in britain.

i've spent there almost 12 hours at the new year's eve party - not taking ANY kind of drug. this was definitely one of my life's hugest experiences. i've never seen such hedonistic, decadent place like this full of the most beautiful people of both sexes in the world.

Wenn einer so einen Schwachsinn von "Minimal Club" schreibt der is absolut durch!
Wenn z.B ein André Galuzzi der im Berghain Resindent ist mit nem "Minimal Club" in Verbindung gebracht wird, dann erkläre du mir das bitte, weil der und viele andere Leute dort, reinen klassischen Techno spielen da trifft deine komische Bezeichnung für den Laden nicht zu.

You can't escape from gay people (men and women) in Berlin's nightlife, get used to it :-).
The club is divided in two parts, Panoramabar (upstairs) and Berghain. On Fryday's only Panoramabar is opened, there's a good mix of people. On Saturday (till Sunday late....) there are about 70% gay people down under in Berghain, but it's you own choice to go there. There's still a lot of men/women flirting ... Just make sure to have FUN

Berghain ist der ultimative hammer, wohne seit 2 Jahren in Amsterdam, and have to say that everything else apart from the Awakenings in Amsterdam is KINDERGARTEN!!! What a sound system!!!!!! Stayed there for more than 12 hours - without ilegal drugs!!! Berlin - Berghain - German Quality!!!

I do agree, I do agree!!! For me this is also one of the World Leading Clubs! But you have to know the right spots in the Netherlands. Come and take a look this Saturday in Catwalk, Rotterdam: Raresh (Cocoon, RO), Joey Daniel (300MPH, We Are E, NL), Hilbert Stoon (Piekup, NL). Other clubs are in Europe like Souvenir in Barcelona that look verry much like Berghain.

Berghain is perfect, I have been there 3 weeks ago. Bouncers are really cool and chilled people, and com'oooooon, we was talking with that ale"scarry" Sven and he was very pleasant guy!
I like Berghain, there is no restrictions with havig fun, in that case U can do everything what U want, be naked and dance like nobody's watching U. there's no irksome photographers or other stuff...

ich war zwar schon in vielen clubs in deutschland aber mit dem bootshaus in köln kann nichts mithalten. hab noch nirgens was vergleichbares gesehnen. nicht in berlin, hamburg, münchen, frankfurt etc.......
