    Leiden Evgeny Suvorkin Libertango

  • Lik this so much!

I realy like to have this dvd, but I can't find it on internet. Can anyone help me?

  • Astor Piazzolla, the best musician ever!!

    Thank you Argentina!!

  • Astor Piazzolla, the best musician ever!!

    Thank you Argentina!!

  • puta ¡¡¡ que musica mas bella :o)

  • Very nice piano playing. However, tango music requires a tango, not a bossa nova, feeling, with its proper raptures and dynamics. It is not classical music as well, nor a "baião", as Richard Galiano has interpreted...

  • ISN'T THAT ALAN RICKMAN ON BASS?!

  • This is not Libertango... this is Oblivion!

  • @rudiunsw this actually IS libertango, is just another version

  • Libertango al ritmo de bossa nova

  • Amazingly!

  • the composer composed this music is very amazing,so different performes are beautiful, because the music is good originial, the manily reason

  • muuuy buenoo!!

  • Completely beautiful. A great interpretation and reimagining of Libertango, blurring boundaries, just like the great Astor did. He would've enjoyed this greatly, and that's the highest compliment I can give you.

You've made this Argentinian very happy with this. :)

  • fabulous, wonderful, ASTOR you are alive for us. I love to ALEJANDRO ALDONZA's versio of BALADA PARA MI MUERTE

  • so smooth...

  • beautiful! :D

  • 2:45

    He put 'For elise' theme

  • mmmmmmmmmm

  • Great performance, even for an Argentine like me.....Wonderful work people.

  • Wow!!!

  • PERFECT!!!!!!!

  • powderpuff357, not everything is innate. A soloists musics is a reflection of him/herself, and their life experiences. Not that some aren't faster at learning and developing their own style and ideas, but anyone interpret things beautifully if they set their mind to it. Creative interpretation is something is something that draws off experience and love of ones instrument , not necessarily something innate.

  • Goosebumps throughout the session, simply amazing.

  • i thought otherwise. i felt him. look in his eyes. he understands the compatible.

  • bravissimo...!!!

  • Outstanding!!!

  • This is absolutely brilliant!

  • Piazzolla himself would love this rendition of his amazing piece. He himself, a trend setter by excellence, would understand that for something to be truly great it needs to morph into people's interpretation of it...this is the fusion of Jobim and Piazzolla. In a way this is a tribute to creativity

  • "The fusion of Jobim and Piazzolla".

    I thought the same.

  • Bravissimi!!!

  • Absolutely delicious rendition!! Can't believe I've not come upon this jewel before! But I will surely make up for lost time! Best wishes from South Florida, ~Terry

  • fantastico complimenti!!

  • thank you for the beautiful music.

I will go to jazz clube in japan for their concert , I am so excited and I do not wait them.

  • i will see this video 1000 milions times!

    HAEOaeuh

    awesome bassplayer :D

  • Awesomme!!!!!!!!!!

  • Another pseudo intellectual looser thinking he knows what should be done in arts and what should not. What else could you expect of some yankee danky doodle sack of shit ?

  • Wow...just...wow. Incredible interpretation and execution. Gah. Why didn't God give me talent like this?

  • work hard. God doesn't give any talents

  • That's bull. You can work all you want and still be only technically correct. Creative interpretation is something innate, not something that's learned.

  • That's just people's excuse for being lazy.

Talent sometimes means you learn a specific skill faster, sometimes means you can become better at it than most people, it never means you're born with the skill already developed.

  • @powderpuff357 But interpretation is completely subjective. What one considers masterful others consider garbage. I think the belief that someone is born "innately" better at subjective interpretation is one derived from arrogance or ignorance. No one is born knowing how to interpret music, they must be exposed to what is generally considered "good".

  • Andrew, yes, what a totally sensitive and cognitive comment you've made. I just know people who are technically good at what they do, but the feeling, the emotion...pfftthht. Not there. Interpretation IS completely subjective. I was just objecting to someone saying my opinion was wrong. No one's opinion is "wrong," per se, unless they're being an asshat about it. But don't you think some have an intrinsic talent others don't? I guess that was what I was trying to get at, but you don't agree?

  • @moustatache But isn't talent just the ability of working every hour of the day on your passion, without getting tired of it?

  • @moustatache You're wrong. Diffrent person got diffrent predispositions, ex. short person has worse situation if going to become NBA player. BUT talent, as most of the musicans says, is only 5% while 95% is practicing. If you want to know musical hearing is depending on certain protein (coded in DNA) in your cells which have thousands of possible conformations! As it's written in bible: who recieved more, more will be demanded upon him. Not by the effects you will be judged but by your hard work

  • Maybe you got it friend, I am a guitar player, all what you need is be sure that you love playing enough. Greetings.

  • i'm... speechless. That was amazing!! you're really good!!

  • That's wonderful music, guys! Congratulations & 5*****. Greetings from Switzerland, Jogi

  • I've never listened to a jazz version of this song. Out of this world it is! Sorry, that was very Master Yodaish *heehee*

  • supreme

  • These guys are tight!

  • from 1:23 on it gives me chills, it's so gooood...:)

    thx 4posting!!!

  • Wow, that's just all I can say. Never listened much out of the hip hop/ rnb relam until I listened to this song. This song is incredibly beautiful in all ways.

  • You're fantastic guys!

  • whats the name of the band??!!! cual es el nombre de la banda?? Qual é o nome do grupo? vacan

  • European Jazz Trio

  • @EuropeanJazzTrio Oh my god... :D

  • @EuropeanJazzTrio

Absolutley fantastic rendition of the Libertango! I have one critique thought, the energy of the piece stays fairly constant throughout the preformace. Although this is a "jazzyfied samba version" of a tango, its still a tango.... Somewhere int the middle, the piece should explode with energy and passion, and then come down for a smooth landing... All in all... brilliant preformance though....

    nicework and thank you

  • very nice!!! smooth. well done!

  • the bassist is awesome!

  • @Octoberpunk agreed

  • this music is very calming, beautiful, a little intimate too.

  • Mmmmm.... Poor Astor... Great musicians though!

  • Just gorgeous!

ME ENCANTOOOO!!!!! ADORE DE VERDAD!!!!!

  • I can proudly say that they are the best beyond other Jazz band!

  • very lovely and enjoying...

  • AMAZING!

you guys should check out the Michel Camilo and Tomatito version of this song, it's really good as well.

  • it's a jazz remix idiot

  • really well played

  • this is soo fantastic! love this piece, and the way you guys played it was fantastic!

  • Amazing!!! Enjoyed it very much!!!

  • so cool.. i love it... =)

  • mee too ^_^

  • love their play

  • B E A utiful!...i adore these guys !! <333

  • Klassno... !!!

  • They're perfect! I hear them playing from Beatles "Fool on the Hill", from the album "Tango Noturno"! It's amazing! I did never hear something equal in the world! Pay attention to the drummer, then to the piano player, then to the bassman, then to everybody! You can to hear them to the whole eternity!

    I love them! Very much!

  • Love the sound of van der Hoeven's bass!

  • wicked opening line there too

  • great performance

  • perfect.

  • This group absolutely wonderful! What a beautiful interpretation of such a moving composition. This is now probably my favorite version of Libertango. Yo Yo Ma was previously my favorite, followed by Piazolla. I also like the Caribbean Jazz Project, Michel Camilo & Tomatito and, of course, Al Di Meola versions. I love them all.

  • Wonderfull!!

  • Pięknie Panowie ,naprawdę pięknie.

  • nice and smooth, such a soulful interpretation. Absolutely tasteful

  • wow what a great version of this song. can't wait to get a hold of this dvd. these guys are so clean cut with their music.

  • muy bueno eh muy bueno

  • Thanks for posting this :) Love the arrangement. Is it bossa nova style?

  • nice....they made an old classic their own.

  • I love it.

  • I love this song (though I prefer the original Piazolla version most of all), but this is an exquisite performance. bravo

  • WOW! I think this is great.
