@wsDboyz2009 I don't think you can unless you record it yourself. I know there is a "karaoke mode" but I've never used it. You might have to record the instrumental on the device like stick it next to the speaker then switch to Karaoke mode.

you know if the camera has a mic jack you can plug the H4N into the camera with a cable you don't have to sync the audio and will also record the audio onto both devices. not sure if you knew. but if you do it i would recommend not just using any old cable that fits i would make sure it has a -25db pad bc the mic levels are usually diff and it sounds all funk like on the camera and no one wants that! lol hope it helped if you didn't know!

@Historylover8 Btw, if you plan to buy the Canon 7D, then you probably better record your audio separately with your Zoom H4N and sync it up with the audio recorded by your 7D. The 7D has the AGC (Audio Gain Compensation) on, a feature that you can't disable. The Magic Lantern is not available for the 7D and Canon doesn't seem to work on this issue.

@Historylover8 - In response to thatcrazy360's comment :Even if you do get a 7D, DO NOT use the onboard audio recording with a cable to the H4n as your primary audio. You CAN do that in order to sync the audio better; HOWEVER, the 7D and the 5D Mark II (I use) are only capable of recording audio at 48Khz/16bit. Compared to the H4n's 92Khz/24bit, the canon audio recording is far lower quality. Use the audio from the H4n (as you did here.) BTW - My son and I like your voice better than Sara's.

@Historylover8 Don't do that on 7D. DSLR cameras have auto-gain and that screws up everything. :) Also you should setup the recorder so the sound won't go over 0dB and get distorted. You have some bits wich are distorted.

hi! when you using the h4n,does it pick up the background noise? I have mine adjusted, i test the sound bar, it didn't pick up, but when i played it on my computer, my speakers & ear pcs picks up the noise( at very loud of my speaker volume). Is it normal?
