an interesting piece. But the romantic beginning don`t really fit with the rest. It seems to me as if the composer at the beginning needs a warm up....

@liatu I agree, as that was the intent. It is marked "naive," and I really should put the program notes up since it has programatic meaning. The main theme (first heard played by the horn) is at first "naive" and then returns in the Ebow section (and other places) marked "melancholy" and "sad" etc.
