The entire Ultravisitor album is a gorgeous slur melodies, techniques, various genres and passion all put together by a man who's only reason on this planet is to create this symbiotic music. BUT, this song takes the cake for being the greatest, as for it represents all that can be done. It be idiotic to go against this belief.
As random as it sounds, there is still a steady beat ti it. If you make a conscious effort to listen to every sound played in the track, the instant you hear anything it tears your attention away to something else. It's an awesome experience.
@skittb89 You say it is not music, even if you cant definiate what music is. As for your comment, it is a subjective opinion and simply not important. In a certain perspective it is true, but why did you think you should share it?
@skittb89 This is one of the best experimental Jazz tracks of recent years IMHO. If you don't consider it music it says more about your tight conceptual borders than the music.
Squarepusher: I don't really have a favourite piece - in truth I hardly ever listen to my old music. Quite often I prefer the tracks that were just made as a joke, or made in a really throwaway manner. Out of the pieces that I have released, I think the most time-consuming was 50 Cycles on Ultravisitor. Roughly speaking it took a month to make. This was the last piece to be completed on Ultravisitor, which contains several other pieces that also took unprecedentedly long to complete.
If you didn't appreciate, go listen non-electronic music, cynic...

4:30 epic science rap...
Ohh... Re-arranged into plastic membranes,
title waves of strength by digital forces,
trying to remove optic nerves from brain tumors, shout in a vaccum,
Ilnesses are raised, and re-engaged,
In a conflict outside the body,
Erased copies of the mind reduced to rumors.
Internal samples reversed to remain in occassion according to extreme reversal,
subsiquent immersal,
WE'VE GOTS TRANSIENTS

this song follows a steady beat, if you cannot hear it- put it down and come back 10 years later when your awareness has matured more
