No Khmer prince invited you to do those things.

i have martial arts odyssey episodes where i film with tony jaas trainer an i interviewed his parents for black belt magazine. they do speak khmer, but they are ethnic kuy, which is the elephant handler tribe that live in surin thailand and also in cambodia.

they kuy originated in india and they rode down through cambodia on their elephants and about half stayed in cambodia and about half went to thailand. the King saw how powerful the elephants were and he put them in the army and gave citizenship to tony jaas ancestors.

To answer to your question, Bokator is a daddy of they muay boran and lehtwei and all that kickboxing styles...My answer is this, I don't know where and when the name Bokator came about! But what I do know is that the art of kickboxing started by the Khmer people during the Khmer Empire dated back to the year 800. Before Thailand and Siam even existed! It is carved in Ancient stones! If you can't believe that, then you are just simply hating on us Khmer!

Japan left China while Thai were Tai refugees running from the Mongol. Tai became Siam and Siam became Thais, they preferred Khmer, rather than their origin Tai. The point is, Thais should give credit to Khmers for teaching Thai ancestors of Khmer martial arts such as Muay Boran to them.
