Absolutely adore this! Diana takes a relatively upbeat, "fun" song, and puts such passion and meaning and depth to it. You can't compare it with the original - they're like 2 completely different songs, but for me this rendition is by far the best.

IMHO this is the completely definitive performance of Cole Porter's great song. Having always heard this up tempo, Diana Krall gives an entirely different interpretation and I think she flat out owns this song now!

This is a nice arrangement. "Comparing" it with Sinatra and the big bands is about like comparing a 1938 Mercedes with a 2010 ML. Both great cars, but certainly NOT THE SAME. I don't mind the tempo drag too much, but IMO, the orchestration is too heavy, and makes it sound like "elevator music." This tempo (again only my opinion) would be better served by her playing piano with a very minimal rhythm section. - maybe just a bass and small trap set.

But, I think this version (mainly the dragging tempo and orchestration) is better than any FS arrangement I've heard. I agree with VikingNorseman that this is a really subtle but effective version.
