Deptford....... Then and Now

Great memories. 5 geneartions of my family come from Deptford. I lived in New Cross Rd & Childeric Rd 50's & 60's. My Grandparents worked at Dickie Wilkins 'Rag and Bone' unit just of Reginald Square. I use to love watching the live eel stall in the original market years ago. As kids we grew up on the old bomb sites and old house that where knocked down in the lates 60's to make way for those nasty high risers! Saturday morning pictues at Deptford broadway cinema in the 60's just fabulous!

its weird when u see those photos from back then u see people out in the street and on photos from now days u dont even see 1 person out there

@houstone29 Thanks for your comment...and your right..I remember when I was a kid growing up in Albury Street...there was always people in the streets in the 50,s to the early 60,s but everyone moved out.
