I heard this story about a woman who was raped. and then everyone including her own family called her a liar. she had nothing to gain from lying about being raped. she just wanted people acknowledge what it was and stop invalidating the pain she has felt everyday since it happened. a pain which she has spent years drowning in, and which has almost killed her several times. she used drugs to numb the pain. she distracted herself with television, which before having been raped she never watched.

one time when I was under emotional duress I used the word hypothetical in a less than accurate manner. i think i should be crucified for all space and time into infinity. you know what I think would be useful? all developers being required by law to conduct a site suitability analysis that takes into account how the proposal will alter biogeochemical cycles, and that this law be enforced, maybe then society could limit the senseless raping of land. because rape is bad
