Wow I strayed from the Moody Blues and found an angel. Yanno I heard him sing saved by the bell and the vibratto in his voice was perfect for a cover of Robin Gibbs song. We're talking about two different things here. Eric Faulkner was a member of the Bay Citty Rollere, a 70s pop group. There is a resemblance between Declan and Eric as he was when he was young. Google him and you will see. Since Declan is part Scottish and Eric is Scottish, perhaps there's a relation. I don't know. As far as Declan being "amazing" is a matter of opinion, but why not wait 30 years and see then if you still think he's amazing. That's the true test of greatness.

I also said I appreciate young ones who enjoy the classics, and in 30 years from now, if he can still sing, then he can be called great. Not too sure as to what you mean by "sober lyrics", so, I'll say this. This song is without a doubt a timeless classic that will thrive for generations to come, but it isn't the right song for him. "Maybe" isn't meant to be sung at such a fast pace, and that's just what Declan is doing. He's singing it too fast. I appreciate his effort, but I'm sure there are other songs that are more suited for him. Not really a Josh Grobin fan, so I can't give a fair opinion there.
