I don't see why the angry video game nerd went bezerk trying to beat this boss; although I've never played the game and won't underestimate the difficulty of any old system boss lol! I know from too many moments of my childhood lost to those fucking bastards!
The only drawback of the Nintendo series was the great potential for AWESOME storylines limited only to a few lines b/c of the capabilities of the platform. Too bad...I still think this series could far outshine the Final Fantasy series given the right direction.
actually Ninja Gaiden had detailed storylines, not to mention RPGs for the NES, I think its more of the developers fault and what was expected of them rather then the NES limitations.
I mean in terms of pure story line. Why does this pursuit happen? Why must Dracula be this way? FF did a great job of making a small issue into a global question. all i'm saying is the depth of story was much richer in early FF than Castlevania.

Multi-phase bosses of the NES, SEGA Genesis and SNES are more rockin' than it is of games nowadays! They're more of a challenge!
