I picked up the magic L.P that this truly lovely song is on in a charity shop ,one of my best ever finds.Irwin gage is good too I have another good version sung by Elly Ameling, this is good but is a little quick, I love Gundula,her 4 last songs is MAJESTIC. The cost of the album £2-00.

@vivr0 Gundula Janowitz is my most favorite soprano of last centuries. Who will not admire the supreme purity of her voice? And who will resist to adore her beautiful, delicate German accent in her Lieder? I am surprised that you have listened to the song hundreds of times, just same I do still now. Do you?
