  • I knew a lot of this stuff when I was younger but now I don't really have time to search knitting books for a paragraph on how to do a stitch. Youtube saved my knitting life :D

  • This looks like she was purling, not knitting? I would appreciate it if the author of this video would clarify my question. Thank you.

  • @nakidme you're correct - my mistake for not clarifying that in the video. I was purling but the "Pass Slip Stitch Over" part was the focus of the video, which would be the same whether you knit or purl. Sorry for the confusion!

  • Thanks for the help!

  • Thank you!!!

  • Youtube has helped me a lot in learning knitting and crochetting. English is not my first language, I prefer to follow this video than to read the knitting books.

  • @udon890 English is my first language, but the knitting boos don't do a thing for me. Seeing the work in action is easiest. I don't know how people learned to knit from diagrams before the internet! I lived in rural Alaska in the 1970's and we didn't even have live TV. I was too young to knit, but people had to learn from people who knew already. they ad to wait 2-3 months for errata to come in magazines!

I think Cyberseams has it right with short, quick explanations and demonstrations.

  • It looks simple, but I'm a bit confused. It looks like you're knitting Continental here but I'm not sure.

    What about a p2sso?

Thanks for posting this, though, it's helping me to figure things out.

  • Thanks that was a big help!
