This meant wrestlers often broke kayfabe to be on the show. They would appear on the show with titles that they werent scheduled to win until later in the storylines. but since it was recorded early and showed later on, they had to break kayfabe. This show actually caused WCW to leave the NWA alltogether

He would have rotted in the mid-card status at best, mostly used as fodder for whenever the nWo made an appearance. Once Vince bought out WCW, if his contract was even picked up, he'd be used to put over the WWE guys, and then cut loose. Today, he would be working in some indy promotion, if he was still in the business at all.

I've got nothing against Edge, that's just the way Bischoff and Vince are. Take a look at the number of former WCW guys this happened to.
