Had a 92 Corrado. Best car and worst car I ever owned. Loved driving it but hated the reliability. This Scirocco probably won't come to the US because of past issues with low sales volume cars here in the US. Just won't make them the money.

The reason we can't buy the Scirocco in the USA is because VW of America think that it will take sales away from the GTi. (They have come out and said this.) The thing is, if this were true in the US, why would not not also be true in England and other countries as well??? The logic doesn't hold up. WE NEED THE SCIROCCO IN THE USA. VW WOULD ONLY MAKE MORE MONEY AND IMPROVE ITS IMAGE HERE IF THEY WOULD IMPORT IT.

It's not about being the fastest. It's about the feeling being part of the car, not just driving the car. DSG and SMG technology is wonderful but it feels like a video game behind the steering wheel. There's nothing like a manual. Having driven a manual in every car I've owned, I hate the fact Americans are so lazy and can't drive a stick but rather sit on the phone, drinking their latte. A manual car puts you at more focus in driving instead of day dreaming being lazy behind the wheel.

i know right. i've seen Rocs on the road and they just look perfect. I'm looking forward to the day when I'll see a parked one. I've been to Monte Carlo and seen SLRs, 430s, a Veryon, Murcs and Carrera GTs (to name a few on my visits to Monte Carlo) but not having seen a Roc is disapointing. I might be 19 but I do intend on selling my Clio (circa 2001) and buy a Roc within the next 10 years. You can always dream..
