Well, I'd say Nicholson was the "Crazier" with the antics and, silly things. Now don't go flaming on me yet youtubers, Heath Ledger played the dark deeper part of it which i see as more of a psychological thriller type joker, with some crazy funny antics, the ones he did have were twisted though, like "He said, he'd replace it with bright lights like a Christmas tree." or when the driver dies in the semi-truck "Move over I wanna drive!" and, so much more.

Ledger was good, the best 'real life' Joker of them all. But that "I don't make plans" bit was utter crap, his entire character in the movie was centered around insane plans.

Hamill's Joker is much more terrifying because he's not creepy all the time - he's truly unstable, with him you never know if the fart cushion you just sat down on is simply for laughs or if it's gonna rip you to shreds with explosives or acid. Want creepy? Watch 'Mask of the Phantasm' or 'Return of the Joker'.

I love your analogy there, Mark Hamil's is truly unpredictable which makes him great, he's the reason I loved Arkham Asylum so much, that game was truly magnificent, he's been my favorite from child hood 'til now.
