Hey don't look at me, I'm not the one who claimed that the Beatles were the starters of rock music, and that Led Zeppelin are the beginnings of heavy metal.
lol
You obviously can't accept constructive criticism, oh well, your loss. Bye :).
This is probably the best Led Zeppelin track they've ever made, and it has been mimicked many times, and advertised in lots of films. Nevertheless, still a great track, the only thing that annoys me is many of the fans of this band and how they fap on about how FREAKIN AMAYZIN DIS BAND IZ.
Seriously people, fucking relax before you burst a blood vessel. They aren't the best rock band ever, although they have made some great songs.
There were bands at the time that just as, if not far more rocking than Led Zeppelin;
Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, and Thin Lizzy (to just list a few).
You're a fan boy/girl, so your judgement is pretty much hazed and fixated. I like this band and own all of it's CDs up to Physical Graffiti (still trying to get the others), and I do tell people of this band in a positive manner, but some of the comments here prove that even Led Zeppelin fans are also retarded.
So what? Selling well doesn't make a band good. If that's the case, then The Beatles own Led Zeppelin anyday, yet we know for fact that The Beatles were less talented.
The bands I listed before, among many others, rocked out more consistently and often harder than Led Zeppelin. Get over it :).
selling well is the outcome of a good band, but there are different styles of music so comparing bands can be hard. let the fans do what they want and if it annoys you then go listen to your cds and dont get fired up on youtube.
Well if it's any clarification, i'm not fired up. Also, people really overrate bands and artists in a fanboy/girl way that often ruins it for people who just might at least want a casual listen. In other words, some balance is in order.
No shit Sherlock, and The Beatles were a boy band of the 60s, nothing more.
Led Zeppelin had some fantastic moments, all of them were also talented, but half the time they would dabble in accoustic and folk songs, which although I have nothing against, it's less rocking than a band producing lots of electric rocking songs with lots of riffs (Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Thin Lizzy, Budgie, Judas Priest, etc...).
And Black Sabbath, Deep Purple are hard METAL bands Mr. Watson. LED Z never liked that label and are not of the same genre.
Back to the main point that LED Z and the Beatles are legends. That all the bands you mentioned are little shittlings compared to them. Peace out metal head.
I find it funny how someone insecurely resorts to petty insults and arrogance so quickly, whilst claiming Deep Purple to be heavy metal. As for the Beatles, it's common knowledge that they are a boy band the same way Simple Plan are of today.
The only metal bands I mentioned there are Judas Priest and Black Sabbath, but even their earlier catalogues are largely rock based.
Your arguments fail, which explains why you resort to insults that make you sound half your age.
Want my argument? You are obviously a moron, who has no respect for music knowledge or it's pioneers, or it's history. To say that the Beatles..(whom everybody with half a brain, or and ounce of musical intelligence truly knows... changed the face and direction of music ON A GLOBAL scale)... are nothing more then a boy band... is to prove that you are a complete idiot. Most would probably tell you the obvious..that without the Beatles succsess, led Zep never would have had the chance to shine.
...continued.. In fact Page and plant have said that in countless interviews. Led Zep is one of my all time favorite bands.. but you need to give credit where credit is due, idiot. Boy band! Lol! Everytime I think I've read it all. Mindless troll.
Be glad I'm not a troll, because for someone who's even aware of such people on the net, you sure willingly let yourself into their trap by the sounds of it.
Eww... another fan boy who uses insults more often than proper arguing.
Ozzy also sites The Beatles, but did Black Sabbath sound anything like it? No. Fail.
The vast majority of the catchy rock and sorrow elements of 70s onwards rock bands came from blues. Yeah I'm such a moron I'm citing a proper source than just ZOMG BEETOLLLZZ.
Yeah and I gave credit; Led Zeppelin didn't rock out as hard as certain others, but they have made some fantastic songs. Them being your favourite is purely opinion
number one..there's no proper arguing with someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. What I stated is FACT, not opinion. And it's a fact most people know. This is widely acknowledged, and by using the phrase "Boy band" for this group..I don't think you realise how stupid you make yourself look.. and from what I see on your page, I would guess you're not stupid. The Beatles have influenced every performer after them, led a musical revolution. (continued)....
'number one..there's no proper arguing with someone who doesn't know what they're talking about.'
Really, you think so? Hmm...
'What I stated is FACT, not opinion. And it's a fact most people know. This is widely acknowledged, and by using the phrase "Boy band" for this group..'
They are whether you like it or not.
As for the rest, well Kiss influenced a lot, but were they kings of hard rock? Obviously not, they were a fad. The Beatles weren't as talented as their later influences (fact).
Their impact will be around for centuries, and most of the groups you could mention would not be around if not for the legacy they left. You're so wrapped up in debating, and that's fine..but intelligent debate requires that you know something about your subject matter. It's not a question of LIKING a group, or ROCKING OUT. (That's a metal term not a Rock and Roll term.)..it's a question of fact and historical accuracy. But, hey..you wanna look stupid..(lol) who am I to stop you.
Hahahahaha. If all your points consist of is patronising me, you fail at arguing. I think you need to pull your head out of your arse and realise there's more rock bands than Led Zeppelin (like Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy for example).
Most of the pioneering of rock music was done by blues guitarists, folk music, and 40s/50s rock and roll. The Beatles were just a popular boy band whether you like it or not. Success does not always mean greatness. I'll post the origins of rock and roll.
"Teen idols of the rock and roll years were followed by many other artists with massive appeal to a teenaged audience, including the Beatles and the Monkees."
Yeah and both weren't very talented either, especially compared to their peers, predecessors, and future influences.
Also, most bands of the late 60s onwards had the loud attitude (rocking out). Metal just kept that spirit going, so fail to you for playing a stupid stereotype.
Dude, I don't know what to tell you. You are ignorant of the subject matter.. even people who hate the beatles with a passion know what a driving force they were, and are, and always will be in music. I tried to appeal to your intellect (which was a compliment to you, and an obvious mistake on my part), but you seem intent on being relentlessly stupid, and broadcating that to everybody. Fine. I'm done here. You want to continue? Great. I enjoy watching people make fools of themselves. Peace.
It's even there, in plain English, on wikipedia how they were largely just a teen sensation band. Looks like I'm not the only one who sees that they were largely hype (you're a blind fan boy).
Oh by the way, sweet work with the arrogance but little on the actual arguing. I pointed to groups preceding the Beatles who made the real musical influences, and the Beatles added nothing to what already came.
A real intellectual argues points, and doesn't patronise based on prejudice. You fail.
Dude, It's a waste of time with this clown. Look at what he's saying. he's listing groups that the Beatles influenced as an argument to prove that they WERE'NT influential. OMG, lol! You're right. He puts himself up as an intellect on his page, but he obviously has no clue. A really smart person knows when to step away from subjects he knows little about. Lol!
Hey! What's up? Yeah, well... I tried. Whatever. Life goes on. 19 years old. What do you expect? Hey, I checked those new playlists. How long does that take? You have a life don't you?
If you can call it that! Lol. It's just something I wanted to do. When Mom died, I kept busy putting together an alphabetical list of my favorites from the collection, and i just found it. So I decided to make playlists.
I've made my points, and you both have done nothing to disprove me than "LULZ PEEPL SAY DEY R INFLUENSHAL."
I posted an academic site with listings of who really influences rock music (folk, blues, 1940/50s rock and roll, etc...), and you know it's true, but you hide behind the Beatles because you're both fan boy idiots who think that success always equates greatness. In that case; I recommend Britney Spears and Simple Plan.
Anyway I'm out, believe whatever fan boy memorabilia drivel you want.
You're a child who tries to make himself bigger and smarter then he is by "arguing" and "making points". We're talking history, and well known facts. And if you really think the groups you mention preceded the Beatles, then you're the biggest idiot I've ever seen. Dude, you have no idea how many people are laughing at you. I have over 300 music and Rock history books, have taught classes in music, and have over a music collection that takes up 2 rooms. Fanboy? I'm a scholar compared to you.
By the way..just for giggles, I've checked out Wikipedia, which you keep bringing up as your source. For a kid who keeps throwing around the phrase "fanboy" like it's confetti..you're quoting a source that is created by users (ie:fans). Nevertheless, nothing in the entire page (you did not, obviously, read the entire page) disproves.. but rather, supports what we are saying. But you might want to pick up some actual books from experts (historians, music publications, etc. cont..
LULZ PEEPL SAY DEY R INFLUENSHAL."??? And where do you read we said that??? Twisting points which we've made quite clear, for your own purposes does not win arguments. You are stuck in a loop, and more focused on "arguing" (is that your favorite word?)then in adding some much needed knowledge to your brain. As I've said.. there is no arguing with someone who does not listen and learn. Your advantage, little boy, is in your brain only. I actually KNOW what I'm talking about. That's the difference
I wonder if you have heard of a thing called a joke. Although it was valid, as the only point you and your friend were presenting constantly was that the Beatles were popular, and they are quoted by Led Zeppelin (who cares?). Music has always had a leaning or genre, you've just been too thick and stuck on the notion that success always equates greatness that you don't notice reality.
I have, and the page I listed mentioned that the Beatles were a teen sensation band.
Oh and the Beatles are for people who actually hate anything about real rock music, since there are countless books and people who say that just because you can write 3 or 4 chords to a 4/4 doesn't mean anything special.
You say you know facts but all you do is flout your ego, so you can't disprove me and thus your position collapses. You got owned by a 19 year old, sad. ;)
Who care what you own and have done? It clearly doesn't show.
I mentioned bands who have done more for rock than the Beatles could aspire to do after their time, as well as the pre-cursors before the Beatles even existed (and which they contributed nothing to). Learn to read shit for brains.
I remember these Led Zeppelin songs as I was little kid(over 20 years ago) when my dad used to play these aloud from some ancient cassette, and he played them also on guitar too. What a fine band!
p.s. Jonas Borthers suck a certain object in which i have named, and i quote, 'Macok'. can be broken down in to certain words crude and inapropriate for small children, *wink*, and so i assure it is just aname, *wink*, not a certain broken down varient, *wink*...
lmao 3:36-3:48, Way to go Plant, got his geographimicals all mixed up, did 'ja?
Anyway positively great video, and another question, what does the blimp have to do with anything? just like a lot of there albums covers i am confused of the meaning, but i might have a hunch about this one. could it be that the 'blimp' representis a 'lead' 'zeppelin'. A zeppelin is similiar to a blimp, and it is one of there most famous symbols??
well im not completely sure y there is a blimp but it shouldnt have anything to do with their name, their name derives from a quote from someone from 'the who' whose name i cant think of... but he said "i think the yardbirds 2* will be a 'Lead Zepelin'" so they changed around some letters and got that
*jimmy page started led zeppelin after his former band 'the yardbirds' had broken up so he called them the yardbirds 2
cool video, and its not a blimp, it was a german zeppelin named hindenberg, which ran off of hydrogen, blimps run off of engine power, and the zeppelin crash was caused by static electricity.
umm...a zeppelin isnt a blimp. a blimp is like a plane, people travel on them. a zeppelin is a german warship. and for their name, the drummer of the who Keith Moon came up with the name "lead zeppelin" when he was listening to a session of jimmy pages new group of the immigrant song. and the yardbirds wasnt "the yardbirds 2"...they changed it to "the new yardbirds". i know almost everything about led zeppelin so if you wanna know something just ask :D
before they were named they were doing a demo session and Keith Moon (drummer from The Who) was present and they played immigrant song and Moon didnt really like it and said something like "it's gonna go down like a lead zeppelin" they liked what he said about a "lead zeppelin" and decided to just take out the a in lead and become Led Zeppelin. :D
keith moon, drummer of the who, said that the yard birds (page, bonham, plant, jones) would go down like a led zeppelin. so, thats how they got there name
i hate kids at my school who think jonas brothers is better then led zeppelin. i just tell them to go shove their jonas brothers trendy CD up their ass. music industry has gone down the shitter
I can't believe that this kind of music is basically dead among today's college-age crowd. They not only missed out on such a special era, but for them to embrace rap/hip-hop well they can go fuck themselves for that one because that had to do with choice. What can you expect from a popular culture where so many men walk around in these gay-looking faggot flip-flops? Even 70% of the women look like shit in them.
Good music lives forever! Don't worry, today's trend will soon fade and another shitty kitsch will take it's place...but there will always be the few ones who trully understand the whole meaning of quality music and through those young hearts the special era you talk about continues to live. Hell,I wish I could jump time and land at Woodstock...:))
GAY LOOKING FAGGOT FLIP FLOPS LOL FUCK THAT SHIT DUDE. FAGGOTS WHO ARE LIKE 80 percent of the population on earth listen to fucking radio/chart music. fuck that shit. I listen to some fucking graffiti when I feel like it and if anybody opposes they can take my cat colorado boot up their faggot pounding rectum.
fuck dubstep.

StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
And Black Sabbath, Deep Purple are hard METAL bands Mr. Watson. LED Z never liked that label and are not of the same genre.
Back to the main point that LED Z and the Beatles are legends. That all the bands you mentioned are little shittlings compared to them. Peace out metal head.
federerowns 3 years ago
Hahahahaha.
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
Want my argument? You are obviously a moron, who has no respect for music knowledge or it's pioneers, or it's history. To say that the Beatles..(whom everybody with half a brain, or and ounce of musical intelligence truly knows... changed the face and direction of music ON A GLOBAL scale)... are nothing more then a boy band... is to prove that you are a complete idiot. Most would probably tell you the obvious..that without the Beatles succsess, led Zep never would have had the chance to shine.
wrathmiester 3 years ago
...continued.. In fact Page and plant have said that in countless interviews. Led Zep is one of my all time favorite bands.. but you need to give credit where credit is due, idiot. Boy band! Lol! Everytime I think I've read it all. Mindless troll.
wrathmiester 3 years ago
Be glad I'm not a troll, because for someone who's even aware of such people on the net, you sure willingly let yourself into their trap by the sounds of it.
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
Eww... another fan boy who uses insults more often than proper arguing.
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
number one..there's no proper arguing with someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. (continued)....
wrathmiester 3 years ago
'number one..there's no proper arguing with someone who doesn't know what they're talking about.'
Really, you think so? Hmm...
'What I stated is FACT, not opinion. And it's a fact most people know. This is widely acknowledged, and by using the phrase "Boy band" for this group..'
They are whether you like it or not.
As for the rest, well Kiss influenced a lot, but were they kings of hard rock? Obviously not, they were a fad. The Beatles weren't as talented as their later influences (fact).
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
Their impact will be around for centuries, and most of the groups you could mention would not be around if not for the legacy they left. You're so wrapped up in debating, and that's fine..but intelligent debate requires that you know something about your subject matter. It's not a question of LIKING a group, or ROCKING OUT. (That's a metal term not a Rock and Roll term.)..it's a question of fact and historical accuracy. But, hey..you wanna look stupid..(lol) who am I to stop you.
wrathmiester 3 years ago
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
"Teen idols of the rock and roll years were followed by many other artists with massive appeal to a teenaged audience, including the Beatles and the Monkees."
Yeah and both weren't very talented either, especially compared to their peers, predecessors, and future influences.
Also, most bands of the late 60s onwards had the loud attitude (rocking out). Metal just kept that spirit going, so fail to you for playing a stupid stereotype.
That's off Wikipedia's section on Rock and Roll.
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
Dude, I don't know what to tell you. You are ignorant of the subject matter.. even people who hate the beatles with a passion know what a driving force they were, and are, and always will be in music. I tried to appeal to your intellect (which was a compliment to you, and an obvious mistake on my part), but you seem intent on being relentlessly stupid, and broadcating that to everybody. Fine. I'm done here. You want to continue? Great. I enjoy watching people make fools of themselves. Peace.
wrathmiester 3 years ago
It's even there, in plain English, on wikipedia how they were largely just a teen sensation band. Looks like I'm not the only one who sees that they were largely hype (you're a blind fan boy).
Oh by the way, sweet work with the arrogance but little on the actual arguing. I pointed to groups preceding the Beatles who made the real musical influences, and the Beatles added nothing to what already came.
A real intellectual argues points, and doesn't patronise based on prejudice. You fail.
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
Dude, It's a waste of time with this clown. Look at what he's saying. he's listing groups that the Beatles influenced as an argument to prove that they WERE'NT influential. OMG, lol! You're right. He puts himself up as an intellect on his page, but he obviously has no clue. A really smart person knows when to step away from subjects he knows little about. Lol!
teddibearsworld 3 years ago
Hey! What's up? Yeah, well... I tried. Whatever. Life goes on. 19 years old. What do you expect? Hey, I checked those new playlists. How long does that take? You have a life don't you?
wrathmiester 3 years ago
If you can call it that! Lol. It's just something I wanted to do. When Mom died, I kept busy putting together an alphabetical list of my favorites from the collection, and i just found it. So I decided to make playlists.
teddibearsworld 3 years ago
I miss her a lot.. and i remember the collection. So you put them in order a long time ago, then.
wrathmiester 3 years ago
Yeah, in or around 97-98. I've updated and added a little though. Gimmie a call, man.
teddibearsworld 3 years ago
I've made my points, and you both have done nothing to disprove me than "LULZ PEEPL SAY DEY R INFLUENSHAL."
I posted an academic site with listings of who really influences rock music (folk, blues, 1940/50s rock and roll, etc...), and you know it's true, but you hide behind the Beatles because you're both fan boy idiots who think that success always equates greatness. In that case; I recommend Britney Spears and Simple Plan.
Anyway I'm out, believe whatever fan boy memorabilia drivel you want.
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
You're a child who tries to make himself bigger and smarter then he is by "arguing" and "making points". We're talking history, and well known facts. And if you really think the groups you mention preceded the Beatles, then you're the biggest idiot I've ever seen. Dude, you have no idea how many people are laughing at you. I have over 300 music and Rock history books, have taught classes in music, and have over a music collection that takes up 2 rooms. Fanboy? I'm a scholar compared to you.
teddibearsworld 3 years ago
By the way..just for giggles, I've checked out Wikipedia, which you keep bringing up as your source. For a kid who keeps throwing around the phrase "fanboy" like it's confetti..you're quoting a source that is created by users (ie:fans). Nevertheless, nothing in the entire page (you did not, obviously, read the entire page) disproves.. but rather, supports what we are saying. But you might want to pick up some actual books from experts (historians, music publications, etc. cont..
teddibearsworld 3 years ago
LULZ PEEPL SAY DEY R INFLUENSHAL."??? And where do you read we said that??? Twisting points which we've made quite clear, for your own purposes does not win arguments. You are stuck in a loop, and more focused on "arguing" (is that your favorite word?)then in adding some much needed knowledge to your brain. As I've said.. there is no arguing with someone who does not listen and learn. Your advantage, little boy, is in your brain only. I actually KNOW what I'm talking about. That's the difference
teddibearsworld 3 years ago
"LULZ PEEPL SAY DEY R INFLUENSHAL"
I wonder if you have heard of a thing called a joke. Although it was valid, as the only point you and your friend were presenting constantly was that the Beatles were popular, and they are quoted by Led Zeppelin (who cares?). Music has always had a leaning or genre, you've just been too thick and stuck on the notion that success always equates greatness that you don't notice reality.
Yawn.
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
I have, and the page I listed mentioned that the Beatles were a teen sensation band.
Oh and the Beatles are for people who actually hate anything about real rock music, since there are countless books and people who say that just because you can write 3 or 4 chords to a 4/4 doesn't mean anything special.
StealthWarrior1988 3 years ago
You say you know facts but all you do is flout your ego, so you can't disprove me and thus your position collapses. You got owned by a 19 year old, sad. ;)
Who care what you own and have done? It clearly doesn't show.
I mentioned bands who have done more for rock than the Beatles could aspire to do after their time, as well as the pre-cursors before the Beatles even existed (and which they contributed nothing to). Learn to read shit for brains.

lmao 3:36-3:48, Way to go Plant, got his geographimicals all mixed up, did 'ja?
Anyway positively great video, and another question, what does the blimp have to do with anything? just like a lot of there albums covers i am confused of the meaning, but i might have a hunch about this one. could it be that the 'blimp' representis a 'lead' 'zeppelin'. A zeppelin is similiar to a blimp, and it is one of there most famous symbols??
Zigfu 4 years ago
well im not completely sure y there is a blimp but it shouldnt have anything to do with their name, their name derives from a quote from someone from 'the who' whose name i cant think of... but he said "i think the yardbirds 2* will be a 'Lead Zepelin'" so they changed around some letters and got that
*jimmy page started led zeppelin after his former band 'the yardbirds' had broken up so he called them the yardbirds 2
RyChad 4 years ago
Blimp=Zeppelin
Rubystars1000 4 years ago
cool video, and its not a blimp, it was a german zeppelin named hindenberg, which ran off of hydrogen, blimps run off of engine power, and the zeppelin crash was caused by static electricity.
ruler1978 4 years ago
umm...a zeppelin isnt a blimp. a blimp is like a plane, people travel on them. a zeppelin is a german warship. and for their name, the drummer of the who Keith Moon came up with the name "lead zeppelin" when he was listening to a session of jimmy pages new group of the immigrant song. and the yardbirds wasnt "the yardbirds 2"...they changed it to "the new yardbirds". i know almost everything about led zeppelin so if you wanna know something just ask :D
giventofly1789 4 years ago
why are they named after a german warship that blew up
A7xforlife2213 3 years ago
before they were named they were doing a demo session and Keith Moon (drummer from The Who) was present and they played immigrant song and Moon didnt really like it and said something like "it's gonna go down like a lead zeppelin" they liked what he said about a "lead zeppelin" and decided to just take out the a in lead and become Led Zeppelin. :D
giventofly1789 3 years ago
They took the 'a' out so Americans wouldn't pronounce it 'leed' zeppelin.

Even 70% of the women look like shit in them.
pajasa62 4 years ago 4
Good music lives forever! Don't worry, today's trend will soon fade and another shitty kitsch will take it's place...but there will always be the few ones who trully understand the whole meaning of quality music and through those young hearts the special era you talk about continues to live. Hell,I wish I could jump time and land at Woodstock...:))
