@WildRose3000 Google's net worth is estimated at $190 billion. There is NO WAY this company is hurting for money, my friend, and the advertisement revenue generated from Youtube alone has contributed greatly to that. This is not about a company trying to cut costs to survive. This is about a company showing overwhelming greed and trodding all over the people who helped make it what it is. You can sit down for it if you want, but I won't.

Yet, it's been a wonderful way to meet people from all over the world, and on YT, we get to know each other through the individuality of our channels. Don't misunderstand - I have no problem with them putting ads around my music videos and I'm happy with that arrangement. But in exchange, I want to keep some of what enables us to meet people globally, and the new layout doesn't encourage this. And so I protest.
@grizzlyten Hi. Yes you can meet nice people on here if you`re lucky. But, do you know who hides behind all these pretty profiles? Why do you think social networks have such a bad reputation? For example I`ve come across pages that pretend to be fans of poetry and then turned out to be something I won`t name here. BTW, for meeting people google created a new site google+ and yt is supposed to be mainly for watching vids.They are not cutting people off from connecting with others.

You told me it was useless to fight it, but I learned a long time ago not to quit when someone told me something was a lost cause. Sometimes I've lost, but other times I've succeeded. @grizzlyten they`ll look for you if you`re on here long enough :P and uploading music here is almost impossible with the strict copyright laws that yt has. Other video platforms don`t have them to that extent. People shouldn`t hang on to a thing that has no future ;)
@WildRose3000 I still managed to upload a lot of music while the copyright debate continues. We don't know there's no future here for us amateur uploaders, as well as the new musicians, artists and the cause channels. It's all rumours at this point. I'm moving ahead as if we do have a future and I've opened channels on a couple other websites. A bigger threat to all of us of course are the acts like SOPA, which I've also been protesting. And now there's this privacy issue, which is worrying.

Joe from TheBacmaster Music Videos. l did support the cause last week. I closed down my channel for 24 hours. I have 4 channels totaling over 1,000 music videos, so I understand the impact this could have on all of us. Please spread the word! Make this your only video to view and make everything else you have uploaded invisible. They rely on us for their income with ads. Without us they are finished! It goes way beyond the new page format. They are trying to turn this into a Netflix of sort.

my freaking videos are starting to go from 500 views a day to less than 100 wtf? ?!?!?! for real lowest theyre been for month!!! when i upload i only get like 30 views in the first day !?!?! SERIOUSLY!!

Don't misunderstand - I have no problem with them putting ads around my music videos and I'm happy with that arrangement. But in exchange, I want to keep some of what enables us to meet people globally, and the new layout doesn't encourage this. And so I protest.

We don't know there's no future here for us amateur uploaders, as well as the new musicians, artists and the cause channels. It's all rumours at this point. I'm moving ahead as if we do have a future and I've opened channels on a couple other websites. A bigger threat to all of us of course are the acts like SOPA, which I've also been protesting. And now there's this privacy issue, which is worrying.

Joe from TheBacmaster Music Videos. l did support the cause last week. I closed down my channel for 24 hours. I have 4 channels totaling over 1,000 music videos, so I understand the impact this could have on all of us. Please spread the word! Make this your only video to view and make everything else you have uploaded invisible. They rely on us for their income with ads. Without us they are finished! It goes way beyond the new page format. They are trying to turn this into a Netflix of sort.

The new layout will take everything away from us, our creativity, our personality, the joy to be here and all my friends. We all are supposed to only be contacts. I say NO to the new design .... Keep commenting and express your feelings. YOU TUBE with no customers, visitors, up-loaders, like us will DIE! THEY NEED US...Believe it or not. The clean up was done partially with the friends but we can find them back, it is not that hard. The Earth is only ONE PLANET. Do NOT give up HOPE...SOMEONE UP THERE MUST BE WATCHING, so keep Rolling and be absent close your channel make it invisible do what possible to be out...God Help us to get them listen. Done!

Is it fair the Google decide to about our friendships? Many of us are here for a long time, we've made great friendships, and a sudden, the Google decides to end its cículo of friends. Acts as if he owns us. Was dishonest what this company did, the attitude of those who come from an empire that is judged above all and of all. This idea came of a Terrorist State. Which currently controls in the planet, all the grids tv stations, newspapers major, and now the Internet, with their social networks.
