  • That means arabs lie a lot. Lol. I disagree, the arabs here in Singapore are probably the most annoying people I know. They're too proud and complain about everything under the sun. Lol. Thank god my BF who is arab and his family are like the rest of the world. =P

  • thank you, Maha. :)

  • in my book it isn't nice to answer I'm good even if i'm not good, if you think about it, and it is a reality indeed that arabs have the tendency to not express their feelings whatsoever, which also is not good for human therapy, express yourself, if your not feeling good, just say it, and you will feel better

  • I put your videos on for my daughter so she can learn a little Arabic. I have been learning for a while and I noticed the way Arabs don't complain and I love the Arabic phrase alhamdulillah ala kuli haal - thanks be to God in every situation, which you can say if things are not going well

  • THANX LEARNARABICWITHMAHA

  • North african arabs are using La Bass all the time !!

  • what is the difference between shlontich and kaifa haaluka?

  • @ARTiiKWiiNDZ

They mean the same thing. However, "kaifa Haaluka" is Modern Standard Arabic and "shlonitch" is the Iraqi dialect :)

  • @ARTiiKWiiNDZ Shlonich is 'How are you' (to a girl) ('shlonak' to a guy) in the iraqi accent. While Kaifa haaluka/haaluki is the formal arabic which is widely spoken. You will find that in every country in the arab world there are differences in the language as everyone uses different accents and slang. But Maha is teaching the formal arabic that is mainly used to communicate on newspapers/TV etc but also in person if two people speak different accents have difficulty understing eachother =)

  • @ARTiiKWiiNDZ it's actually the same meaning but in another accent

    thanx maha <3 i'm arabic and i think u r really great , keep going sweety : )

  • nice way to teach - wonder if you would like to speak now and than -this is what I need the most ie :getting the knowledge into action -

  • you look beautiful

  • thanks maha

  • This one of arabs never complaining on answer to a "kayfa haaluk"... it rings a bell and makes me wonder why. It's culture and psychology. It's good being positive but on the other hand it makes me feel as if they can't express themselves even with good friends, when...not feeling so good after all. As if the question is a bit stereotyped or means "hello" more than "how are you?" I came across something similar with British people saying "thank you" a lot even when not meant (or out of place)...

  • why is my video response not showing Maha?

  • @benlow666 get your name sorted

  • @mediapadTV huh?

  • I just want to thank you for posting these lessons. They are great. I take it from what I hear that you live in Italy. Must be great. I do not speak Italian, but I am a huge Eros Ramazzotti fan because I do speak Spanish. I would like to learn Italian, but one thing at a time. Once again, thank you so much for posting these lessons. It is so much better than trying to figure it out from a book.

  • yeah, you are right i always answer" I'm fine " even if i'm sad,,, really thank god for the health that gave us.. (:

  • hahahahha love you maha!!!

    great teacher!!!

  • wow i love all your teaching videos girl, honestly i am learning very fast. Shukran :)

  • Thank you for the lessons, they are very helpful. One thing, is there a way you can get the microphone closer? I have to turn my speakers up in order to hear.
