  • kinda sounds like ZZ Top. Awesome job!

  • @staple765 - Thanks a lot!

  • VERY sweet bluesy tone. Sounds very analogue. By the way, nice song too.

  • @Chaif15Let - Thanks dude

  • Good for you. You have some entry level, low cost equipment and instead of spending all you time dreaming of a custom Les Paul and a Marshall stack, you actually learned how to play. It sounds as good as anything else on here and better than most. The heavier strings sound really good. Most people don't practice enough to build up the ability to play them. Keep expanding your knowledge. I get stuck on scales myself. Listen all types of music - Jazz, Country, Latin, ect You'll get fresh ideas

  • @joeprod1 - I do dream of a Les Paul and Marshall stack, but until I win the lottery it will be just a dream. :) Thanks for the comments and the suggestions. I do what I can with what I got.

  • Greaat tune. I got a rp 1000 after hearing this so I could makemy own tunes. Not there yet, but still practicing. Heard your other great tunes and hope to hear more soon.

  • @97yawnac - Thank you very much :) Keep practicing, you'll get it!

  • cool man, can I crate a white stripes like sound using this? (:

  • @funnyking95 - I'm sure you can, with the RP 355 you have access to pretty much unlimited guitar tones.

  • good effort,continue man.

try to add some chromatics to you pentatonic scale to give more life to your licks

  • @asxefv - Thank you very much, I will consider that in future projects.

  • have some dynamic man!!

  • @Sevendogtags - What?

  • @MNR34 I meant on your playing.

  • @Sevendogtags - oh, heh. Gotcha.

  • is this supported by microsoft windows 7 OS?

  • @rjmag007 - It is, as that is what I am running for an OS right now.

  • @MNR34 thanks!!

  • Hey everybody!!! awesome pedal!!!

i am recording an album! all instrumental. so all teh guitars there are recorded via RP355 check my videos for the music!!!!

    thanx

  • @vendettav15 FOUND YOU AGAIN

  • Very nice song you made there. I should get into creating music with mine.

  • @Ophie2020 - Thanks, and yeah you should. It's a lot of fun.

  • wooow.. really liked this!!!!!!

  • @liveHRA - Thank you very much! :)

  • how did you record the drum in this track??thanks!!nice song anyway.keep it up!

  • @rjmag007 - Actually this is a preset drum track straight out the the RP 355. Thanks for the comments, appreciate them.

  • woo nice sonng men grats

can i get that preset from solo guitar ? here is my email :

    wow_pece@yahoo.com

  • @gorillomk - I never Saved the preset, but I'll try to figure it out and get back to you. Thanks for the interest! :)

  • can we play drum patterns to jam with the loop we have recorded?

  • @warisahmedyousufi - sorry I didn't get back to you sooner with an answer. No, you can't be in the looper function and play drum loops at the same time.

  • How useful is the "Learn a Lick" feature?

  • @stevieVantanna - It can help if you want to learn a really complex or fast solo. But in all honesty, I don't really use it much.

  • You got a really nice tone and the song is good, i have an rp250, it's sounds great too. Gotta mention you're choice of strings (0.11 gauge) not a lot of people use it (i use them also, not daddario ones but ernie balls), imo they give a much better and richer tone.

  • @GrofCmarnik - Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it. I do like a little heavier strings for the exact reason you said: better tone.

  • I like it! Sounds good, I have got the RP 155 and a yamaha pacifica.

I`m waiting for your next song!

  • @MrKielersprotte69 - Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I'm working on a new one and should have it posted before too long.

  • Great playing. And oh. How long does the looper work? The RP255 can only loop for 20 sec.

  • @LP30STM - The RP355 can only loop for 20 seconds too I believe. I don't really ever use it though. Thank for the comments.

  • does the digitech unit have some kinda octave effect where there's a sound 1 or 2 octaves down from what you're playing?

  • @toastytoast3919 - yes it does and it works pretty good too

  • is that a drum beat from the digitech unit? it sounds great. And your tone does remind me of ZZ-Top ^^

  • @nspade13 - Yes it is. Thanks a lot for listening.

  • is this good for live playing?

  • @SilverPingvinen - Sure is. The unit itself is pretty solid.

  • Great Man! I really like the sounds you choose and the riff you play.. very "ZzTop" like in my opinion... keep going!

  • @YetAnotherBeginner - Thanks a lot. If it sounds like ZZ Top, then I consider that a great compliment. Again, thanks for making my day. :)

  • Yup I got that XFI sound card and recording software. I'm too lazy so I use the "what u hear" setting to record

  • @simio1337 - Lol, never thought of doing that.

  • @MNR34

I basically record a rhythm with "what u hear" setting then play it over with windows media player and record over my solo. Its pretty quick for coming up with the new stuff

  • i use green dunlop turtex. dr dimebag strings, the rp 355, the spider III. but i have live wire cables n a les paul special II with blackouts

  • Nice, pretty similar setup. I really recommend pure nickel strings. They add such a great texture to whatever your playing.

  • How durable is the casing on this pedal? I want to get it but not if it will fall apart or if buttons stop working after being used too often. (This happened twice on rp50)

  • I would say build quality is better than average, it feels pretty solid and well put together. I suppose the knobs could get kicked off pretty easily.

  • You rule dude!!!

  • Thanks! Check out the other 2 songs I posted and tell me what you think...

  • Excellent stuff. Is the drumming courtesy of the Digitech RP 355 or software?

  • It's part of the drum machine build into the RP355. Thanks for commenting.

  • I'd like to know how the hell people figure out how to use the software that came with this processor...Im just experimenting and still have no clue..Any suggestions, I mean is there a book in Barnes and Noble that got u through it? Are you a sound engineer? It certainly isn't something a beginner with using it can figure out like garage band

  • No, I'm not a sound engineer, lol. Cubase isn't so far removed from garageband, it just isn't as intuitive. Believe me, I struggled with it mightily at the beginning, and still hit brick walls all the time. I suggest you take the time to read all of the documentation and if that doesn't help you then try some different software. There's lots out there and many are easier to use than cubase.

  • i was thinking of this or a camera.... is this worth it and can you use ordinary cables for it? because i dont have that much money and this is on sale near me for like 265 hahah

  • I guess it depends how much you want to be able to make your own music. I can tell you that in my case it completely reinvigorated my creativity with the guitar and wish I had bought one long ago. The cables required are just simple 1/4" mono cables and USB cable (but not the standard USB cable, if you do some looking you'll find the right one).

  • i think imight just get a camera... then buy a new amp and some pedals

  • Are you playing the bass part with your guitar? Does the RP355 have a bass effect with it?

  • Yes it has the ability to pitch shift down so I can make my guitar sound like a fair approximation of an electric bass.

  • For the rp 355 to play on your amp do you need any cables besides guitar cables?

  • Nope, just a pair of regular mono 1/4" patch cables.

  • If you are using a PA or directo to the mixer you'll need extra cables.

  • how did you get the drums? from the rp355?

i didnt realize you could edit/change the drums

  • Yeah, it's loaded with a bunch of different beats. I just wish they had included some additional fills to shake things up a bit more.

  • Hey man, that was very good in my humble opinion. An effects board sure breathes new life into a guitar. You've got talent buddy.

Next time maybe we could add a...................

    That's right...... cowbell.

    Wrecks can do it. :)

  • Hey MNR, this is Cal, sounds great man, keep it up!

  • Right on Cal, thought you might find it interesting.
