I can easlily get these stations and a few more once atop the hill going south on I 35. Try in the car at the country kitchen located by the proctor exit. I live in the cities now but was born and raised in Duluth and lived there for 27 years. I distinctly remember picking up lots of twin cities stations. Back in the hot summer of 1988 I still lived in Duluth but was able to listen to 104.1 (was hot rockin 104 at the time) clearly even on a ghetto blaster portable. Still have 1 of the tapes
Normal reception in the summer (maybe slightly better than normal reception). Can't say the same for the winter, although many of the same stations would be there, just weaker.
thats amazin' when I lived in West Duluth my radio which was one of the component stereos with a piece of wire only got like 13 stations . Minnesota Public Radio came in clearest .
Does this mean you can get WRFW on a standard consumer radio in Duluth? Or just with special equipment? Or both, based on the weather? Thanks.

Are all of these stations permanent reception, or was there tropo about? I'm posting my own bandscans soon from Sydney,Australia.

no dutch pirates? haha

Nope. Only two pirates here - 97.7 and 103.9 - both weak (vertically polarized AFAIK) and run by the same guy.
