I am absolutely in love with this piece - and as a freshman in college who can't afford his own vibraphone just yet... Well, you can imagine the nostalgia I'm feeling after 5 straight years of mallets. As soon as I get my hands on some vibes, you can bet this will be the first piece I learn
man I miss playing :( I am legally blind (vision impaired, due to albinism) I played mallet percussion instruments for so long that when I graduated from high school it felt...weird. Now I'm looking for a marimba :)
liked it so much that I bought the collection. your intro is better than the one I'm reading in the "revised edition." good interpretation, I keep running into people who hacked this piece instead of performing it. 'grats.
loved how you changed that thing after you went back to the begging melody thing. sounded awesome. but it feels a little fast. still, the best one on youtube.
this is the 3rd video ive seen of this song, all with different interpretations. all of them incredible. this piece is much too beautiful to have one way of playing it. amazing job!
wow I really like this piece. What mallets did you use may I ask? I want to attend UNT and major music or percussion, is there anything that you can tell me about it for preparing? Thanks.
Masterful... Absolutely breathtaking! Someday I want to study percussion performance at UNT! How long have you played 4 mallets? How hard was the audition for UNT?
hey question how are you muffling the b natruals?

I think it was too fast. Very good technique though.

This is awesome. I really like the effect at the beginning of the non-melodic notes.
Kudos, Daniel.

What is your impression of the Adams vibraphone? Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

I really want to learn this solo, where did you get the music?
You did a fantastic job, not just with this, but with everything at the recital. Bravo

The piece is from a collection entitled Mirror From Another (Alfred Editions), it includes 5 other pieces (including the famed 'looking back').

I play this song for my senior recital. This song/solo got me into the University of Utah Percussion Ensemble.
Great job. It brings back memories listening to it. I didn't have a recorder back when I played it.
