  • hey question how are you muffling the b natruals?

  • get it, dk. honor to have been around talent like you and hope all's well, sir!

  • The way you started the piece was pretty fancy, I'm playing this for my UIL solo, hopefully I could play it as good as you haha

  • I am absolutely in love with this piece - and as a freshman in college who can't afford his own vibraphone just yet... Well, you can imagine the nostalgia I'm feeling after 5 straight years of mallets. As soon as I get my hands on some vibes, you can bet this will be the first piece I learn

  • Boosh

  • man I miss playing :( I am legally blind (vision impaired, due to albinism) I played mallet percussion instruments for so long that when I graduated from high school it felt...weird. Now I'm looking for a marimba :)

  • I think it was too fast. Very good technique though.

  • liked it so much that I bought the collection. your intro is better than the one I'm reading in the "revised edition." good interpretation, I keep running into people who hacked this piece instead of performing it. 'grats.

  • Nice, I was just checking out some Friedman stuff and I ran accross this.

    Subscribed.

    Benson.

  • This is awesome. I really like the effect at the beginning of the non-melodic notes.

    Kudos, Daniel.

  • cool!

  • Hi! I love this piece. Could you send to me the score for this piece? I can't find it anywhere! Thanks and congratulations!

  • It is in a folio titled, "Mirror from Another."

  • What is your impression of the Adams vibraphone? Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

  • loved how you changed that thing after you went back to the begging melody thing. sounded awesome. but it feels a little fast. still, the best one on youtube.

  • this is the 3rd video ive seen of this song, all with different interpretations. all of them incredible. this piece is much too beautiful to have one way of playing it. amazing job!

  • I found Danny K! :)

  • wow I really like this piece. What mallets did you use may I ask? I want to attend UNT and major music or percussion, is there anything that you can tell me about it for preparing? Thanks.

  • Malletech DS18s, and practice a lot. (Sight reading is a good skill to have!!) Good luck with your auditions.

  • Really good job ^^ Awesome. This is the best realization ever ^^

  • I really want to learn this solo, where did you get the music?

You did a fantastic job, not just with this, but with everything at the recital. Bravo

  • The piece is from a collection entitled Mirror From Another (Alfred Editions), it includes 5 other pieces (including the famed 'looking back').

  • this is my solo for competetion. im a sophomore in high school :)

its sooo peaceful to play :) and so tranqualizing to listen to :)

  • HEY!! It's DR. KP!! lol

    this is dillon

  • I play this song for my senior recital. This song/solo got me into the University of Utah Percussion Ensemble.

Great job. It brings back memories listening to it. I didn't have a recorder back when I played it.

  • Masterful... Absolutely breathtaking! Someday I want to study percussion performance at UNT! How long have you played 4 mallets? How hard was the audition for UNT?
