  • Wow, get your facts straight you moron! Bon Scott did not write any lyrics for Back In Black. He was dead. The album was a tribute to him. The only songs that he had any work with were Have a Drink on Me and Let Me Put My Love Into You. He did the drum parts for those songs. Anyone who has studied AC/DC or has read about them knows this. He wrote absolutely no lyrics.

  • the bald guy is on the led zep doc, and the sensational alex harvey band, and he always puts his own thoughts in, and pretends to have some inner knowledge, when he's just guessing

  • Lol after all that stupid nonsense talk of those other guys, FINALLY some guy at 5:20 gives the right information :P

  • The bald guy with funny teeth doesn't have a clue what he's taking about.

  • Whats the meaning of bald????

  • @musicomanoaddictoman Bald means no have no hair on top of your head.

  • Does anyone think that some of the songs on Back in Black came from Brian before he got in AC/DC? and they just added to them. Some of these could of been ideas for his previous band maybe he already had ideas so he wrote the material faster. Im not saying he already had the songs, but maybe he alredy came up with lines like "working double time on the subduction line" or "With a glass I'm pretty handy" Im sure he had old material he could of used for the album.

  • Some of the lyrics sound as it could have been something Bon wrote, but most dont. Bons lyrics were more tongue in cheek, storytelling type lyrics. I dont believe that he wrote shoot to thrill or Have a drink on me, let me put my love into you or Honey what do you do for money. maybe certain lines in some songs they borrowed but its just not done in the style of Bons writing.

  • Back in Black was written as a tribute to Bon

  • "In the ensuing jam session the trio worked on songs that later became ‘Have A Drink on Me’ and ‘Let Me Put My Love Into You’.

At the end of the session, the trio decided to meet back in a week. Bon said it would give him time to come up with lyrics for the songs. Bon Scott said his goodbyes and left the studio. It was the last time Angus and Malcolm Young would ever see him."

A few days later, Bon was dead.

  • This whole video and the rest of them is these guys giving thier opinion. and what annoys me the most is that they are all very stubbern. Brian johnson is (in my opinion) my favourite, he has just a evil voice and i like that because its different. some of the most under-rated albums AC/DC have ever done are all mostly with brain which is sad because infact those albums are my favourite! in fact who ever is reading this comment please come a listen to the album fly on the wall! you will like it!

  • I tip my hat to Bon Scott, but I firmly believe Brian to be the better singer.

  • Ive seen ac/dc over 30 times since 1981. People who say ac/dc was "better" with Bon don't know what they're talking about. Both eras are awesome. But if Brian was in the band first and they released "back in black" and then BON came in, all these idiots would then say "Bon can never be as good as Brian", etc.

  • @Gravelandart True, you do have a point. But I really dont believe Brian J. would have got them as far as Bon Scott did.He is the best possible replacement but Bon Scott is still the singer for AC/DC.Brian is just that a replacement.

  • Oh ya one more thing I could not see Bon writting that. But maybe parts of the other songs

  • It is tue British journalist can be a big pain in you ass bu that's no the point I think ACDC would have been more famous with Brian than Bon don't get me wrong Bon led th way but sadly we saw very little of him..,

  • Why does that f..ker in the mud coloured shirt saying Brians lyrics were ''taste less'', FFS! The album is a tribute to Bon, how he was and what he stood for, why cant they understand that. I hate people giving critics to others if they are so blind and cant see obvious things.

To conspiring about AC/DC ripping off Bon is just stupid, if you think that you shouldnt call yourself an AC/DC fan.

    Now this shit is over!

R.I.P (Rock In Peace) Bon, and I salute you and the excisting AC/DC

  • @ACDCFan15Swe who are all these fuckers anyway? fucking british music journalists, the most fucking retarded, gossiping, fickle, full of shit, untruthfully inflammatory wankers on the planet, doing what they do best. Talking absolute shit. I'm not gonna watch any more of this, these people are so fucking retarded.

  • @acrobaticaromatic Agree, I dont have anything against british people in general but I've heard that british journalists are assholes. Even Angus and Malcolm said that the british press made Bons death look like it was anyone who had died, the lines said ''Rock Stars Dead'' not Bon Scott dead. And when they said that they really sounded angry and hurt so I gotta believe them

  • well said brother,

  • I personaly like Bon the best as AC/DCs singer but I love AC/DC with either Bon/Brian and I know that the band would never rob Bon if his genius like that.

There are so many f..king rumors goin 'round, the only thing I believe in is AC/DC and I know they're good people. So dont talk about Brian like some lyric stealer or shit, he's great just as Bon and the other true AC/DC members: Phil, Cliff, Angus and Malcolm

  • For those of you saying Brian stold the glory of writing Back In Black... go f..k yourself.

    1. Dont you think the best band in the world would give their fallen frontman any cred if he had written any of the material? He was like a brother to them, if you think they would disgrace him like that you dont know anything about AC/DC.

    2. The album was a tribute to Bon, its very possible Bon had written some lines to ideas but they were probably not used though the album was a tribute to Bon.

  • i thought brian singing back in black was him introducing himself in a way that bon would live on through the band always, and that brian johnson would now be that vehicle along with the band to carry on bons spirit,

  • agree

  • and if brian wrote bib , why the fuck has he wrote nothing close to it since , he is not even involved in writing for the last 4 albums , like i said its total fuckin B.S ! BRIAN JOINED APR. 8 AND THEY FINISHED BIB WEEKS LATER , HE WROTE LYRICS THAT FAST , LOL.. BULL FUCKIN SHIT !

  • x-mas 1979 bon went to visit his parents in australia , he told his parents he had already started writing lyrics for back in black , his parents both said this in interview , i guess they are lying , lol , this is all total bullshit , bon scott got totally fucking screwed !

  • most you people didn't know that , now did you !, you just keep buying the company line !

  • there is an easy way to answer this question , did bon write any of back in black , ian jeffrey acdc's tour manager at the time of bons death has admitted to taking lyrics books that had lyrics to 15 songs from bons flat in london just days after he died , he admitted this , all you would have to do is compare what is in these lyric books to the lyrics on back in black , problem is these books just disappeared , funny isn't it , maybe bon would get the credit he fuckin deserves !

  • brian johnston wrote the entire album, full stop, bon was dead, and back in black is a tribute to him as well as hells bells, why would he write tribute songs to himself, wake up people

  • i think bon wrote back in black, what do you do for money honey. and the rest brian wrote. i could be wrong.

  • why not ..ask my sister ... she was going out with phil..that nite

  • Am I wrong or is Back in Black a way of saying "yes we're playing, but everything is black (meaning funeral attire type stuff)" to sorta mourn in the only way they really knew how, to honor a man who just wanted to have fun and play with his friends. which is also why there is no art on the album, it's all black.

Personally, it seems more like it was meant as a tribute but did so well that they just kept on rollin'.. I, of course, am no authority on it but ya know.

  • The Back in Black album IS a tribute to Bon

  • you got it right mate

  • Comment removed

  • correct me if im wrong but wasnt black ice recorded in 7 to 8 weeks?

  • speculation

  • The only thing I know for sure is Have a Drink on me was written by Brian Johnson for Bon Scott as a tribute without going the infoamous poer ballad route. I personally say that was the best way to have done it. Bon would not have wanted a fucking ballad!!!!!!!!

  • AC/DC pretend to be nothing but what they are which is why they are respected by millions. Whether it's Brian or Bon you believe was the best AC/DC frontman it's irrelevant because music is completely subjective to personal taste. Just because YOU like Bon more than Brian does not make him better and vice versa. Did Bon write the Back in Black lyrics? Maybe, but why lie about it? Would Brian lie about it? The guy who was playing pool with the roadies instead of auditioning? I think not.

  • You hate the bald guy because he speaks the fuckin truth that all you brian fans dont want to hear , bon wrote part of back in black it is so obvious , deal with it , brian could never dream of writing those lyrics..

  • even if Bon wrote those lyrics though, brian performed them, and than brian also wrote and performed lyrics to FTATR a great album, and razor's edge, another great album. both amazing singers

  • i hate that bald guy

  • @Familyguy1230 Which one? I dont see alotta hair on any of them! Ha.

  • @scumgod13 Perhaps Bon Scott's Ghost possessed Johnson and wrote some of thelyrics.Like they said in particular Have a Drink on me.But songs like shake a leg,Shoot to Thrill,Rock and Roll aint Noise pollution just dont sound like Bons work.Back in Black doesnt.

  • @Familyguy1230 lol wich bald guy? theres 2 of them hahah

  • @Familyguy1230 i agree, but he is pretty well knowledged in the metal scene, i saw a doco about MetallicA, and another band.. he does know what he's on about.. but he is an annoying pom!

  • @Familyguy1230 why? because he's right in almost everything he says?

  • @Familyguy1230 Which one? lol

  • Bon just named the albulm

  • And FTATR had great lyrics too, so Brian obviously was capable of writing those lyrics.

  • when i said there wasnt a song about a special lady, i forgot about you shoook me all night long and what you do for money honey.

  • what do you do for money honey is about

    an old whory prostitute

  • lets see, why would they lie about such a minor thing.

  • it's obvious to me as a long time acdc fan that Bon wrote many or some of the Back in Black lyrics. Brian never wrote anything even remotely like these lyrics with Geordie. I believe the band did the right thing so that Brian had a chance to stay out of Bon's shadow and become the great ACDC singer that he is.

  • You can hear that it is brian who wrote the lyrics, there isnt a single song about a special lady, wich is the subject in half of bons songs.Besides, its very likely that brian tried to adapt hes own songwriting style to bons, so it woulndt be such a big difference.

  • Brian is an excellent lyricist, and he doesn't get the credit he deserves because many people attribute him to the awful lyrics Angus and Malcolm have written on the more recent albums.

  • i agree, solodallasll

  • you shook me all night long?

  • ur a dork

  • A load of these guys are obviously lying, Brian explained in detail how he wrote you shook me all night long.
