  • let's see if you ever went up against you're self and one of you was trained in karate and other of you were trained in kung fu, kung fu would win because it has more technique.

  • That Guy In Blue Looked Like He'd Never Even Heard Of Martial Arts, Let Alone Trained In One

  • i learn san shou/sanda becuz of its power and speed but learn boxing becuz sanda hands is not really that good

  • woah

  • Owned!!

  • Fight starts at 2:33.

  • wtf thats kinda sad... xD .. btw fight starts at 2:30 ahah, go to 2:00 to see the girl holding up the sign

  • lol...the karate guy was so easy...the sanshou guy don't even need to use san shou stuff to win...

  • fucking boring fight..not even close to exciting..Rubbish

  • Sanda only beat Muay Thai, not because of style, because of luck

  • Haha. Luck. I dont think so. Nothing in the fight is "luck". It all relies upon the skill of the practitioner. Which one can mess up first. If Muay Thai loses then its not muay thai that lost... It's the fighter that used it. Its very possible another match up would have a different outcome.

  • that was luck, seriously. the muay thai guy was too confident. put his guard down

  • The he wasn't skillful enough. A true martial artist always pays attention and is never cocky. Cockiness always loses the fight. Obviously Muay Thais fighter was not disciplined enough. Perhaps if he were he would not have lost.

  • true

  • A true martial artist doesn´t get knocked down so fast.

  • @starfox300 ur stupid, a true martial artist is still human, a properly placed strike with enough force can knockout anyone.

  • this is not muay thai. its san shou chinese kung fu... mauy thai is thailand..

  • talking about something else

  • this video is about KARATE vs KUNG FU SHNSHOU

    not muay thai video

    idiot

  • talking about something else

  • not really, sanda only beat muay thai in these videos because they are sanda matches which allow throws

  • @vegetaowen a real fight has no rules

  • is this kung fu? this match looks like kick boxing match

  • the rule seems chinese sanda

  • you ppl dont know wat u r talking about, it doe mtter wat sort of martial art u use EG.. Sanda destroys muay thai

  • That did not look like any karate I've ever seen. Sadness.

  • and the towel didn't even have blood in it

  • No one fighting style is better than the other, its the fighter NOT the style. theres just better fighters in there style thats all.

like a 3rd degree Muay thai kickboxer vs a BJJ Black belt the muay thai dominates the standup, BJJ rules the floor

  • you cant compare martial arts, only martial artists.

  • @irritatedpsycho

I agree. A wise martial artist should not compare the styles. Only individual martial artist.

  • You CAN compare training methods.

  • but that depends on your teacher not on your martial art

  • How good the resulting fighters are depends on how much the rules you learn under and the rules you compete under comply. And only in this frame the teacher and the fighter influence the result.

  • noooooppee

  • @MonkeyNinja32

You are so correct about that. It is the indivudual martial artist, not the style.

  • @MonkeyNinja32 Hey man, there are no " belt degrees " in Muay Thai, Ninjas rock by the way...

  • @JimmyPtheman There's no "belt degrees" in Sanshou (a.k.a. Sanda) either which Muay Thai was actually based off of if you studied the history of it. But I think you probably get his point. It's the practitioner and not the individual art. I "DO" think this is in somewhat of a bias setting though. Chinese music, Chinese announcers, and fighting in China. Although I practice Sanda..

  • @gamrage yea i agree and im chinese too

  • @MonkeyNinja32 Judo or Japanese Jujutsu dominates floor too...

  • @MonkeyNinja32

Yes but sanshou won so sanshou must be the supirior martial art..

  • "my kung fu is stronger than yours", what the hell is that phrase???

i'm a sanda palyer but i dont say that my discipline is better than the other, the other discipline has their own fighting rule and he is fighting on the others rule...of course that's one big advantage of the other... i've fought Taekwondo and Muay using their rules as well and its hard too adjust, come to think about it...respect...

  • once he hit the mat "the crowd goes silent" haha

  • not according to lots of fights sanda fighters beat karatekas dumbass look your stuff up karate fanboytard.

  • stop discussing about lyoto, daiko juku is KUDO, not KARATE.

  • what does Lyoto and Daiko Juku have to do with each other? Lyoto is a shotokan fighter, with a black belt in bjj.

  • the people pratice karate and speak too much.karate is beautiful and can use only with a don't make martial art people. versus other martial arts is really useless

  • Not at all, Lyoto Machida Knocked Thaiboxer Thiago Silva out cold. Thiago was sleeping.

And Lyoto is a Shotokan blackbelt. Its how you train your art, not what art you train.

  • both of you are wrong

its the fighter not the style

eventually, all effective stand-up martial arts techniques lie in thai boxing and western boxing

  • Isnt that what i said? Its how you train. Its the fighter it depends on,

the "my kung fu is stronger than yours" is getting old.

  • oops

    youre right

  • Thiago Silva is more of a BJJ fighter. He didnt want to to stand up with Lyoto. Lyoto got the best of him on the ground also....

  • In the begining of the video i see 2 guys, one of them looks extremely retarded, that GOT to be the set up karate guy, i was 90% sure hes gonna lose, when he started to jump like a monkey i had no doubt about it.

  • your comment was actually more entertaining than the vid, thank you

  • that guy in blue has very poor stance and foot work.

  • i have a black sash in kung fu. but damn that was such a set up fight. way to feed that guy a win. hate bs like that

  • lol so fast!!!

  • in traditional karate like uechi ryu (and in kyokushin too)you hit with the shin, not only with the feet...

even in kung fu you hit with the shin in some kicks...its not an exclusive of muay thai

  • its true I'm a Karate practitioner my self but I stepped up my game (Like Lyoto Machida)my Kyokushin made my leg and body kicks devistaing but because of the nature of our style I had no ground game,so.. I trained in jiu-jitsu then i was in a fight were a dude wrestled me and ate me alive, so iI trained greco, then a boxer put me to sleep and I started to train my mits, long story short if you don't fill the gaps your defenses will be penetrated.

  • I'm not saying karate sucks, just trying to imply that karate has a low defense but a very useful fist attacks. By the way sanshou is a new martial arts.

What makes it great is that it copied all other martial arts, making it very useful. That's why

  • That's true, and there's nothing wrong with that, but I've looked at many different martial arts, especially kung fu arts, and can tell you that San Shou is mostly basic kung fu skills, which is why it looks so much like Muay Thai without knees and elbows, mixed with a little Judo. San Shou is basically Kung Fu's basics all wrapped into a good system, but ultimately it is the student who makes or breaks himself, not the style. Although if the style is inefficient, there's no use learning it.

  • Sanshou is a great martial art. Sanshou reminds me an russian battle sambo. This two arts very similar, i think.

  • What abuncha tiny penis's you guys have, sitting here arguing about bullshit over a Sanshou kickboxing match. Bottom line is it was a badass knockout, and its the person that makes the martial art, not the other way around. That being said, karate sucks lol

  • Here's the point guys, I've learned sanshou and knew all the basics for karate (from my friend). What i've noticed is that the sanshou stance and hand position. Is ready for any attack, protecting it's head and it can move to protect any other body parts. While the karate stance is unstable, just used for easy punches. It's true, the punches are very useful and easy (that's what i like about karate). While karate's kicks are fairly poor, it's not strong.

THIS IS MY OPINION, SO DON'T GET MAD.

  • I'm not mad but your opinion is stupid because a) you learned karate basics "from your friend" (meaning you didn't actually train) b) you talk about karate as if it's a single style when it's god-knows-how-many different styles many of which have almost nothing in common with each other.

  • ooops, what i meant is that he told me everything that he has been learning and training with karate. So i'm saying is that all the simple definitions about karate is told, your right. Probably he learned just one of the style. Which he didn't told me what it is. That paticular style is what he described.

  • karate is a single technique, but its one of many japanese styles

  • dang that round one chick was hot

  • That commentator got it spot on IMO!

  • I love the panda ring!!!!

  • let's try not to justify which style is better.

Karate is one of the world's most popular martial arts and definitely a deadly teachnique no doubt.

Sanshou may have lived in China for a long time but it has just started being introduced to the world. It is pointless to attack Sanshou in anyway as I know many of the attackers have bias against the Chinese.

  • well, to be the honest there are no best styles in the world, every technique has their points of view and their stronger and weaker points, but it depends on the fighter not on the martial art or fighting sport.

  • this is so preorganized

  • The guy in blue shorts needs to hang the gloves up and get back to his PlayStation and popcorn.

  • lil blue guy looked like a monkey who had too much candy and red bull

  • good i love sanda

  • Eat that, Chuck Norris.

  • la fatto cacao meravigliao. astu visto i fioi, ghe sborooo...!!!!!

  • from what i can c all the chinese sanshou is a really crap level, the national chinese sanshou teams are just like bullshit kickboxing not real kungfu, c those kicks have no power compare what the traditional masters have said, and punching as well

  • this video = 3rd sino japanese war

  • the blue one was a joke

  • also i don't think that karate covers putting your hands infront of your face so that a incomming kick can be blocked as proven by this video:P

  • also i don't think that karate covers putting your hands infront of your face so that a incomming kick can be blocked as proven by this video:P

  • Yes, the sanshou guy won. He's wearing red and yellow shorts, like helllooooo, thats the colour of the chinese flag. AND, karate doesn't throw knees.

  • they barely do anyhow.

  • sanshou doesnt use knees

  • yes it does, as well as elbows and throws

  • no they don't. knees used to be allowed but isn't anymore. elbows has never been allowed. ur thinkin of muay thai maybe

  • In the federation I fought in knee's and elbows were legal and we did not use pads except very thin gloves and face gear. The competitions before I joined did not use any pads and everything was legal. The only rule no cheap shots of course and 3 seconds to take down opponent if wrestling and no ground fighting. Who ever touches the mat first looses the points. My teacher has the fastest knock out, he used a flying knee as first attack, and it landed lol.

  • kyokushin karate throws knee by the way, often

  • All I see is two midgets fight for the midget cup.

  • you don't understand. sanshou guy won.

note how the guy with the "china-beijing" robe got the trophy.

  • 日你媽小日本

  • No Kung Fu or karate here. Why do fighters, who spend years perfecting a style suddenly throw it all out of the window when they do what they train for?

  • "No Kung Fu or karate here. Why do fighters, who spend years perfecting a style suddenly throw it all out of the window when they do what they train for? "

No kung fu? San Shou is Chinese kickboxing. Google it before you make a call. San Shou developed from Lei Tai which has always been a part of kung fu.

And thats how they fight. They condition, spar, train like that.

  • whatever, theives.

  • if you bother looking at sanshou kicks, you can tell they're all heavily CMA influenced....

humans only have 2 arms and 2 legs. there are only so many ways you can fight.

  • theives? lol dumbass

  • come and get some you bitch, i see you're already pussy out.

  • I see your a fucking loser, why don't you COME AND BRING IT fucking prick

  • okay mother fucker. you ask for it. where the fuck do you live anyway? On the street?

  • hahahahaha you scared like a little bitch, you bitch.

  • Come to me and I will show you THE WAY.

  • alright then. where do you live mother fucker?

  • US, AR 413 E. Arthur street

  • u got a glove on how can u do all those moves besides the rules limits 2 much

  • Honestly, I didn't see any karateka here, but just two kickboxers respecting the chinese rules.

  • Never mind all this punching and kicking crap. Tell us more about the babe in the black boots.

  • CHina, rule the world of economy, then the olympic then martial arts... tbh shan shou will owned all MArtial arts.. CHina will rule the world in 50 yrs imo.

  • LOL keep dreaming

  • lol... do not forget MMA fighters and people like Royce Gracie and Ortis.

  • all i have to say is...weightclass...

  • I didn't know whether you r chinese or not. we didn't rule the economy, didn't rule the olympic, we won't rule world either. don't be silly.

  • i beg to differ. china's economy is rising 10 times faster than that of anyone else. there threat as a growing power is actually making ppl scared (and by ppl i mean experts). along with their population, i believe it might be only a matter of time. hopefully they'll slow down a bit.

  • sorry, i meant "their threat". im pretty picky about my typing, sorry

  • as a chinese, it is relly diffcult to image that my country is a threat to the world. we just want a better life via working hard. by the way, what is PPl? thanks.

  • PPL = people... I guess you can just call it american paranoia. we get scared when theres a threat against us as the most powerful country in the world. but still, with power comes the chance to abuse it. america just doesnt trust your government, i guess.

  • i see. to be honest, i don't trust them either. but if you know something about the life and family of the chinese Gov officers. you will find american worries too too much. it may be good for you ppl but very sad for us. to corrupt to start a war. my god, i wish this message wouldn't be saw by my gover, they would kill me:<

  • i see you worry about the Chinese economy power.i am chinese student major in economy. believe me, GDP is a very fraudulent statistic. US and Euro get far more benifit from China development than you can see and image. china pay huge price for the development. china economy has critical problem.i wish my country better and richer but the fact is that it can only continue to grow like this for at most another 5 to 10 years unless some big change could happen.

  • i see. thats good to hear. thanks for sharing. and, yes, GDP is quite the fraudulent statistic. drug trafficking plays a major part in our nations power, but the government refuses to acknowledge this income into the economy when providing these statistics. however, we do try to fix the drug problem.

  • aha, you r happy now but this is really not a happy topic to me. besides, what do u mean by drug trafficking? american gov are selling drug? are you kidding?

  • no no, im not happy about it. i do sympathize with your situation. i wish all countries shared the opportunity we have. no, the government doesnt sell drugs, the citizens do. but it does pump a lot of money into our economy. however, the government doesnt like to say that its because of drugs that our lives go so well. but we do have a problem in our economy at the moment. but i dont think we're in too much danger. as soon as we leave this war against iraq, we can be back on our feet.

  • oh, i see. thank you for your explanation and understanding

  • 我是一个美国人但是我觉得中国是我第二个国家

    中国是一个安全的国家不会威胁别的国家。我住在中国5-6年多了我很想念中国,不要听一些古怪的美国人的意见

  • I'm impressed and inspired to start learning the art of Sanshou chinese kickboxing, it is way more impressive than classical wing chun and shotokan karate both of which I have done. But I really want to start learning Sanshou because if it can beat karate than its good enough for me :)

  • sanshou rulez

  • annoying song

  • what a pile of shit...........

  • what the name of the song of the first round?? lol

  • This is Daido Juku guy in blue pants, obviously not the best among them, good to see Kyotaka Kato (redhead) as his cornerman.

  • you can try go to fight, i support you~ =D

  • well the sanshou guy will probably kick my ass but just look at the other guy ... he can't fight whatever you say...

  • He's not karate man! This is a 20th class fight.

  • one of the most one sided fihts a saw, and I dont thing the blue one was karate, propably same lame muay thai fighter

  • could be, but probably not, just look at his stance LMAO!

  • san shou is a red boy

  • Was that guy karate? He didn't move like it at all, and his hands were all over the place.. Not exactly karate codex -.-

The Sanshou guy was good though..

  • lol nice. the karate guy is not bad or something, the san shou guy is just good =)! I love san shou and my favorite san shou fighter is "sam looc" in "zerogravityteam".

  • I think the karate guy was just bad (i've seen better karate), and I do san shou.

  • lol nice. the karate guy is not bad or something, the san shou guy is just good =)! I love san shou and my favorite san shou fighter is "sam looc" in "zerogravityteam".

  • why was seoden's message classified as spam?

Fixed sports matches are always a possibility, his comment may be incorrect... but "spam"?

    cmon

  • this fite was rather unimpressive the guy in blue wasnt a great fighter

  • Or the guy in red was really good. I'd wager it's the latter.

  • na, one in red was just the lesser of two evils

  • wich dude is the sanshou dude?:D

  • the guy in red

  • LOL you're funny as hell. Good for you. Very imaginative.

  • I can't understand why so many videos are out there where one style is better than another etc. Real Martial artists know that no style is the best. And I am sure if I keep searching I find just as many Videos depicting the reverse win

  • whoever trains his technic 1000 times more often than the other will be better, whatever style.

  • except for judo cuz judo is retarted, just for looks

  • He will be better in that specific art's strongest aspects of fighting. We must not forget that cross training in several arts in this manner will make us one of the best. Each art was created for the necesseties of the culture it was created by. Therefore, no art will cover all aspects of fighting. True story though. It's not the art, it's the fighter.

  • oh man.. is the karate fighter underweight or something?? this seems a bit unfair. they should have select fighters with almost same weight and height thou..

  • Pwned. Great song! My favorite!

  • is his nose broken?

  • in a street fight your not gonna ask ure enemy to take his sanshou's off !!

  • What a fucking ads. They pick up good guy in shanshou vs a low level guy in kerate, hehe

  • Loser is the one complaining when he loses.

  • what is Sanshou?
