  • Ответить на это видео...

  • actually until this caption on the video, I never thought qobyz was shamanistic!!!! In fact its not, it originated on my motherland, Korkut ata/dede made it, Qobyz is traditional musical instrument, like dombra, zhetigen, etc. Music of steppes, not shamans!

10x 4 post, anyway! sometimes its worth at least googling about things before making statements, please do not mislead ppl :D

  • @aimasik kobyz was always an instrument for shamanistic practices called in kz as baksilik

  • Such a great sound : )

  • I could listen to her playing for hours! Some of the images she makes in the music stay for days ... these clips are far too short .. Youtube should have a sparate section for longer clips of artists like Raushan Orazbaeva

  • Tanri speaks...

  • (part 2):

...But it is true that, with the influence of Islam, the shamanic culture was adopted and „tamed, a process we could watch similarly in Europe when the missionaries came to bring christian faith.

And Raushan is one of the very best players of the qobyz I ever could listen to.

  • There is no shaman-ISM. It is not an ideology. We shuld speak of mananic culture, influence, belief, but NEVER of shamaNISM.

As I learned, the Qobyz was invented by the legendary shaman Korkyt, who lived hundreds of years ago in the region we today call southern Kazakhstan.

The possibility to imitate animals voices and does it not sometimes even sound like human voice? is essential for a good shamanic ritus. So the very essence of qobyz music is shamanic from the roots. (to be contd.)

  • soul of Altai... its wonderfull. greetings from Turkey :)

  • This instrument could very well be the most badass thing in the world.

  • alıp başımı gitsem Altaylara.. Tar çalsam, kopuz öğrensem.

Çılgınlar gibi dans etsim, şaman atalarımın ruhunu hissetsem.

Atatürk , ne mutlu Türk'üm diyene derken bunu kastetmiş olsa gerek. Bu derin kültüre sahip olmaktan gurur duyuyorum.

As long as Turkic culture living shamanism always will live

  • A very wonderful rendition. Applause!
