I just finished making one of these with 1500 caps. Took like 3 hours to take each cardboard piece out. Try it out tomorrow and see what happens. Also I found wrapping it in hockey tape makes it a lot worse.

Next time don't use roll caps. They just absorb whatever shock was covered by them making it quieter but have a bigger flame

did you make sure you had a lot of hard surface area inside of it? so it made the compression and stuff to force it to explode?
