@tigersforchrist Oh no, they called a world-renowned theoretical physicist a fool. Look how impressed I am. Oh, and a bible quote. Watch me be amazed.
The Old Lady’s TORTOISE (Hinduism) and DRAGON (Taoism) are symbols for WAVE (energy), both are analog with MAGEN DAVID (Judaism). "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is the metaphor, and also similar with allegory of rituals Thawaf circling around the Ka'ba and Sa’i oscillating along “the sinus” Marwah-Shafa during the Hajj pilgrimage (Abraham). YIN-YANG: energy-particle . CROSS (Christian) and SWASTIKA (Buddhism) are symbols for “Balance of Nature.”
What a dismaying exhibition of ignorance and carelessness; and from BBC. The big bang depicted as a firework, as if it was a real bang; the bishop saying "you can't prove God doesn't exist" as if it were up to us and not to him to prove it; and the final cherry: "it's still just a theory, so not supported by any evidence". That's an HYPOTHESIS. In science, a theory is a consistent set of hypotheses corroborated by repeated observations. So stop saying "just a theory"!
Dr. Stephen Hawking has decided then to change jobs. He has decided to become a philosopher also. But he should realize that you cannot be a philosopher overnight.
The universe created itself? That is a moronic oxymoron! Because it would mean that the universe would have to exist to be its own creator and at the same time to not exist to be created by itself. But how can something exist and not exist at the same time? To be or not to be, that is the question!
I know I cannot prove there is a God. But there is more evidence which supports the existence of a God than there is evidence that it is not God. Even if we say nature built it in that way, it is only a representation of a fact. All in all evidence is in the eyes of the beholder. We are all free to pick and choose what we wish to believe. I will always admit, I have always believed in God and I see this as evidence which supports my belief. You are free to choose otherwise.
If there is consciousness there is a God. Without God there is no consciousness. Vogelsang in 82 found a consciousness connecting at the point when energy becomes matter. A consciousness with a personality. I don't care what you call it, if it is conscious and can think it is alive with awareness. All things in the universe are set in this framework. This is how life can form anywhere and everywhere possible. Without God there is no consciousness.
@TheLaughingOut Yes, I already did. Roger G. Vogelsang created a device which worked using randomness. He used a random emitting Americium-241 particle coupled with a random character generating program which showed the wave to have a consciousness, i.e., was aware and knew potentials ahead of our slow mass time. This was before the term universal consciousness was coined. Think about this, if a tiny inanimate piece of radioactive material is conscious then what does this say about the universe?
Let's just say I grant you all that stuff (which I don't, but for the sake of argument) let's say that some tiny piece of radioactive... something... was found to be conscious. What does that say about the universe? It says that the universe contains a tiny conscious radioactive piece of something. I mean, what other conclusions can you draw from that without adding new stuff on to it?
@TheLaughingOut Well, this is true, Vogelsang was not the only one to claim to have witnessed this device in action, so I have no reason not to believe it. Would you believe 2 people who both said they witnessed a crime? Only one witness is needed to convict a person in a court of law. And if this were true it would mean, well lets see, what in the universe emits waves from radioactivity? Almost everything, all the Jovian planets, the sun, stars, black holes, the core of Earth & more!
@GateMessenger You believe everything you're told? Oh but you'll believe it if two people say it. If that were true you'd follow all the religions in the world. Show me the scientific evidence or stop wasting your time.
@TheLaughingOut Serious? Vogelsang was a qualified theoretical physicist, I would not believe somebody without credentials. Do you believe in a universal consciousness or was Einstein wrong when he deduced that from his special relativity equations? Or what about Bell's Theorem where it describes the psi phenomena? How about the Big Bang where it needs a cause before the effect(Tangled Hierarchy). If something is measurable, evidence can be determined.
.. Bells Theorem and the EPR experiment were what inspired Vogelsang to create the device in the first place. He surmised that if the universe were truly conscious it could be determined by free will! Meaning if it were given a choice what would it choose? Vogelsang then decided to construct the input to the device so to be entirely random. Thus allowing the consciousness, if it were true according to these theories, to choose for itself. The theories are evidence, Vogelsang's device was proof!
... I'm sorry proof is not valid, we cannot even prove that matter is real. Yet on the maiden run of the device it typed out 15 spaces and the words "be patient". Mind you the odds of a random emitting particle tripping a random generating program and then selecting 15 spaces in a row would be impossible if there was not a consciousness controlling the outcome. I'm sorry if you cannot follow along. The implications are mind boggling to the physicists as well.
.... From the freedom of information act I can now speak of this evidence. When Vogelsang tried to tell his colleagues and friends over his HAM radio he was told by someone claiming to be from the US DOD to cease and desist, that the information was classified. Vogelsang told me he did not realize it was classified because he just discovered it himself. He mentioned the 5th Generation Computer project to me and Krebs cycle, which I now believe he was the physicist who got the grant to study.
..... artificial intelligence is not in the programming it is in the hardware. Just like the instructions inside each cell to reproduce another cell exactly like itself. There needs to be a consciousness in all things which needs no programming. I would say this qualifies as intelligent design or I should say intelligence within the design. There is much evidence which supports the existence of a God or creator, intelligent design, whatever you wish to call it, a universal consciousness, it is!
I personally have more reasons to believe in a God than in some unproven multi-verse. I cannot prove God to you and you can't disprove Him. In that sense we are even. Now we all must decide what is more plausible, considering the universe as it is, coming from nothing and with all its properties. I also believe in the Bible but that is another huge discussion :) In the end I believe because I know Him, He gave me a completely changed heart and life. I wish you all the best, take care!!
@menno000 see,..first of all did I say that i believe in the multi-verse theory? no i said it's possible that's how it happened. second of all you can't ever disprove anything,..if i said i have a invisible pink unicorn in my back yard,.it's immaterial,..i can only speak to it nobody else,..well i can't prove it to you, and you can't disprove it either. Also if you think that the universe needs to have a creator, then ur creator needs to have a creator in order to have some purpose,..
@menno000 and yes,..believing something because of ur human emotions have nothing to do with reality,..i mean you can believe all you want, but it doesn't make it true,....what you have to know is, using our human common sense can be misleading,..our brains are fallible, and that's y we use the tools of science. it's not logical to believe something to be real just because you feel like it,..you feels haven't any bearing on reality...they're irrelevant wen it comes to reality. so yeah..w/e man
@Atheist603 Human emotions do have something 2do with reality. If you love your wife or mother, that is true but you can't proof it. You also can't proof that everything needs proof in order to be true. That claim itself can't be proven. I mentioned the MVT because it is THE escape hole for people looking for an alternative to God. Everything coming from nothing is at least a plausible hint for the existence of something OUTSIDE of the universe creating it. It can't bring itself into being.
@menno000 so 2 u the idea of.somethin came from nothing to creating this huge universe out of nothing...is more plausible than saying the universe started from an atomic size to a universal size? to me sir ur insane lol i mean, look at it like this,..just like humans they way we started from smothing as small as a sperm to a full human being,..trees came form something as small as a seed to something as big as a tree,..so why can't the universe start like that? not out of nothning,..
@Atheist603 I'm not a physicist but I read Hawkins and others and they do claim that, that it came out of nothing. But even with a tiny particle you run into some explanation problems.
@menno000 and when physicist say something from nothing, they don't actually mean nothing the way we colloquially know it, like the singularity wasn't nothing,..there's no such things as nothing in the quantum world,..it was just imaginably small, something that you can't see with an naked eye, but there was something. like i said even nothing,..like empty space can be weighted, it weights something...
@evangelical1 I am not a physicist, so don't take my word for it.
Gravity as I understand it is an effect created by matter. It's a distortion in space that draws matter together. I don't know how this effect could exist without matter.
@TheLaughingOut but isn't that a circular cause and consequence? Matter did not exist be4 the big bang so if matter would be needed to create gravity neither of them would exist.
@TheLaughingOut Yes, gravity is a curvature of space time. So in a sense it is not some THING. Rather, it is an effect of something. But there is still something. If there is absolutely nothing then there would be no gravity. I haven't read the book yet either but I have it on reserve at my local library. After I read it I hope to give a more informed critique.
@Atheist603 it would explain the universe, that's enough. You don't need an explanation of the explanation for it to be true. Dr. Craig has a nice example: supose you find very old Indian tools, weapons etc. in an area where you never expected any Indians. You are amazed but have to conclude, based on the findings, that there were Indians in that area. You can't explain why they were there and how they got there (you can't explain the tools/explanation) but they were there.
@menno000 Saying, "god did it" is not an explanation. If I catch my son writing on the wall and I tell him to explain himself then I'm not going to accept, "I wrote on the wall" as an explanation. Why, how, when, where, what, etc. Saying god did it does not answer any of these questions and thus offers no explanation other than 'who', the one question that doesn't even make sense to ask.
@TheLaughingOut If God did create the universe that would be an explanation for the universe, if you deny that you're not making any sense. A painter painted a painting, we can accept that. Does not explain the painter nor the purpose of the painting but at least now we know who or what created the painting. Your son did write on the wall, it explains how the text got there! Now you can ask HIM why he did it and how, when etc. You confuse motivation with the act. There is more than 1 question.
@menno000 lol Dr. Craig is a crack pot,..i mean really? the ancient indian tools don't occur naturally, but the universe does. I mean the big bang was a natural phenomenon, gallaxy formation, solar systems, planets and stars, life they all occured according to natural law, and they form w/o any divine intervention. saying that god created the universe isn't different than saying Zeus is in fact the one behind Lightning
@Atheist603 I was simply commenting on your argument that "God" does not explain anything at all. I figured you were refering to the idea that then God would need an explanation as well, THAT would be nonsence and THAT is what I explain with that argument. I'm not comparing that to the universe :) Concerning the laws: even they had a beginning. And some laws like the 2nd law of Thermodynamics is a nice argument against an eternal universe. But we already have the BB so that's ok already :)
@menno000 the people who he actually debate against aren't good debaters, good debaters, he should try people like matt dilluhunty from atheist experience,..that guy will eat him alive lol plus don't you see how easily i just refuted his argument? Also people like sam harris would also take him on. Furthermore, what makes his arguments even stupid, when he thinks that the christian god is in fact the one who created the universe, and wrote the book a.k.a the bible lol really?
@Atheist603 My goodness, I just explained you what the argument was for and you still don't get it! It was against what you (perhaps) meant by God needing an explanation. You refuted nothing, you just didn't get the point and still don't. As said, God would explain at least the universe so it would explain something and not as you say nothing. And God (the explanation) doesn't need an explanation. THAT is what the Indian story is for. Do you understand now?
@Atheist603 Have you seen all his debaters? Have you even read/watched Craig's work for yourself? And WHY is an argument stupid if it involves a Christian God? That is an assumption(!) you can't prove. I could write a lot to you about real good scientific reasons to believe in a God but I refer you to craig's vids. Because as someone famous said "the truth is out there", if you WANT to know, you will. But you are not willing to even consider the possibility of a God, that's faith, not science.
@menno000 I'm sure it's futile because you seem to be ignoring my comments, but I would very much like to hear about these "scientific" reasons for believing in a god. Please show them to me. In a PM if you must, but if there's scientific evidence then I want to know about it! Thanks.
@TheLaughingOut No I'm done here because I know from experience that I really am wasting my time debating. I just posted something about the staggering odds for our existence. You mention Darwin but they guy did not even know about cells, let alone dna! Dna is information, it even checks itself for errors. I simply look at the odds of how it could be here out of pure chance. That takes more faith than te believe in a God, really. Big bang, the constant but yet created laws, dna, you and I... etc
@menno000 You're done here not because of experience, I can tell you don't have much, you're done here because I'm calling you out on your claim that you have scientific evidence. You don't. You don't have any. None. None at all. If you did then you would show it to me. I will be happy to believe in god when you show me this evidence you have. As for evolution, you know nothing at all about it. This is obvious. Read a book on it that was written by a scientist, not a creationist.
@TheLaughingOut Why should I write down complete theories here when you can go read a book yourself? I don't ask your for Darwin's theory, I read it myself. So you don't read books by creationists? Why? That is not scientific, you have a closed mind. Judging stuff in advance without studying their points. And I'm not talking about the few that believe in 6000 years :) There are many real good scientists out there who believe in God! Just read some other material, not just what you like.
@Atheist603 you should be an AGNOSTIC then, an atheist means you have PROOF against God! (comes from the Greek, look it up). Furthermore, considering the big bang, everything coming from NOTHING(!), the fine tuning of the universe!!, DNA etc. etc. Have you ANY idea how ABSURD it is that we are here??! (Ten raised to the power of ten raised to the power of 123!!!) I don't believe in THAT much chance and stuff popping into existence out of nothing. God to me is simply more plausible and logical.
@menno000 You're new at this aren't you? Atheism is the rejection of the claim that a god or gods exist. It has nothing to do with proof.
To address your other comment, the books I listed do not go against god at all. They only offer explanations to scientific questions concerning the origin of everything.
I was a Christian for 8 years. Is that open minded enough for you?
Still waiting for that scientific evidence for god that you apparently have.
@TheLaughingOut I am not new, you don't know the difference between atheism and agnosticism! I explained it already, look it up yourself. And those books are indeed scientific but you don't seem to read anything from scientists who disagree with Darwin's THEORY. You accept that theory as blind faith and do not study the alternatives. And if you really were a Christian, why don't believe the best historical document there is? And what about the prophecies like Isiah 53 and MANY others?
@menno000 See, you're new at this. If you weren't then you would have already been told that a theory in science terminology is as high as it gets. There is no such thing as scientific proof, only scientific evidence, (apart from mathematics).
You were the one that said you could offer scientific evidence for the existence of god. You can't though, so you're copping out.
Your prophecies are bullshit, your bible is laughably inaccurate and your views on science are sad to say the least.
@menno000 noo,..the right question to ask about the universe isn't who created the universe, because there you already assum that something must've created the universe. I mean we don't know,..so instead if you're a logical person the right question to ask is the Universe exists what's the explanation for it? there then you mite have multiple answers,..mayb it always existed, a god made it, it's part of a multi-verse, etc.. many other than we can't ever grasp using our brains etc....
@Atheist603 Agreed! Indeed, you should simply study the facts and come to a conclusion. We may never have all the facts and some things can't be proven. But one can come to the most likely explanation. Modern science takes us to the big bang, first there was nothing, bang, and here we are. There is no proof for multi-verses and they too would require explaining (the rules that govern that 'system' as a whole). When considering all the facts, God should not be ruled out, that's all I'm saying.
@menno000 no, so r u saying that u'd rather believe in god instead sayin of idk? i think saying idk is better, i'd rather die not knowin, instead of accepting things w/o any evidence. n the big bang mite not necessarily b the beginnin cuz in the quantum world word nothing is really like nothing the way you think about it, even empty space weights something. there's always energy. and we know that energy and matter can't b created, they jus change their forms,..that y i think they always existed
@Atheist603 By the way, maybe you should watch some of the debates with Dr. William Lane Craig, you'll find he's certainly not a crack pot. He makes more sense and is much more consistent then most atheist 'scientists' out there. I watched many debates with a complete open mind, waiting for good arguments by the others but they simply did not have better arguments, often very poor reasoning indeed. But instead of typing everything he teaches, watch the vids yourself. Take care.
@menno000 Instead of watching debates, read books. Logic can be used to prove anything. I can logically prove the existence of god and the non-existence of god for example. Instead of just listening for convincing speeches, read On The Origin Of Species, or A Brief History Of Time, or this new book, The Grand Design.
@menno000 noo, don't look up at some dictionairy of something,..Atheist is anybody who doesn't believe in God,..i don't know if he exist or not, but i don't believe in it.. on the other hand you don't believe in god, you believe in the belief in god...plus the finetuning, DNA argument doesn't really hold any ground because think about it,.we can say that the universe universe is fined tuned becuz we exist in it,
@menno000 mayb if there are other creatures out there who their world might b made up of methane gas, which we can't live in, they'd be saying look there's a god, our planet is tuned for life. the bottom line is the universe wasn't made for life, but life happen to be one of many things that exist in this universe, including some other things than are really harmful to life...so idk wat our universe is fine tuned for blackholes? empty space? rocks?
@Atheist603 "just happened", that is your faith and so-called science. In the end you believe in 100% coincidence, pure chance and stuff popping into being out of nothing. Matter and energy are not eternal. Everything started with the big bang and even Hawkins admits that and simply says "Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing". He doesn't explain the blue touch paper nor the law of gravity and no proof for multi-verses! Is that good science and logic?
@menno000 see,..it's not that i'm defending the faith position, but idk y u think u can use it and nobody else can. Also,..the multiverse theory is actually supported mathematics, if you look at the M-theory is all mathematics, and actually scientist are working on it, and seeing how it can be tested like other theories, that's what the LHC was actually trying to test some of that, also including the big bang. that's the reason i think the multi-verse theory is possible, there's math behind it,
@menno000 but on the other hand, god isn't support by nothing,..there's no equation that might even discribe what it might b,..i mean nothing, i don't even see how he created things.. and it just happened, it's not my faith,..i have a reason to say that because things happened,..i have evidence for the universe, it happened,...i mean do you have evidence for what caused it? no,..so it happened u agree right? what else do you need? a y question, y do we need the "why" question? it's not faith..
@Atheist603 I do understand you a little but we live in 2 'different worlds' I think, we have the same facts I think but we see different things :-) That is interesting, I do like to read what you guys think! I had a time (6 years) I didn't WANT God to exist but personally I just can't ignore certain things (despite the fact that I too sometimes have big questions) . Apart from all science, the biggest reason for faith is inside of me, that I can't show or proof, just experience. Kind regards.
@menno000 listen, i've actually experienced "god" to,..but it was after i smoked weed,..the purple hays,..i mean that experience felt realer than real life,..i freaked out,..it told me to go tell my mom all my secrets, so i went to tell her,..the it started making me do things i had no control over,..the next day, i realize that our brains can make us see and feel things that aren't real.. also it's not that i don't want go not to exist,..but i jus can't accept things w/o ne evidence.
@menno000 if there's some evidence,..if anybody show me real evidence, i'll believe that there's a god, but until then i'll live my life like it doesn't exist,..same for unicorns, fairies, bogyman etc... i just want some evidence that's it..
@Atheist603 In the end even evidence requires a certain amount of faith to accept. You can for instance accept the bible where there are many eye witnesses who give their reports (and lives) for what they have seen. The NT is accepted by most modern scholars as being historically trustworthy. All that remains is: do you believe those eye witnesses? But also the big bang theory, the multiverse, size of the universe etc. You have to accept those ideas because you trust the people who did the math.
@Atheist603 But no, I can't put God in a box and present Him to you :) Some things (like scientific theories but also knowing that your wife loves you) require faith. And God requires faith too. The bibles says that those who believe/trust will be saved. Thomas did put his finger in Jesus side but Jesus said "blessed are those who believe without having seen". In that sense I'm wrong debating here I guess. Ah well, interesting to read your thoughts in any case.
@menno000 no sir,..the science,..i have no trust in those pplz who do the science,..it's there i've looked at it myself, the evidence is there. the big bang was predicted a longtime ago,..then the evidence the was predicted that supported it was found much later,..so that's evidence. and the math,..i'm a physics major,..i've done it,.and did it myself and it actually worked as predicted. plus the bible isn't a 1st witness testmony,..it was written like decade after JC supposedly lived..
@Atheist603 Ah so you have made all the observations all the scientists ever did? You yourself detected the background radiation? You yourself made and looked at the hubble's photo's? You yourself looked at actual DNA strings. My point is: you are depended on other people who did some things for you. Nobody can do it ALL himself! And your title does not mean you are always correct. I will leave you with 2 vids that respond to your singularity question. jx_OBw189t8 and Q0ii7sh6W0c
@menno000 of course i have to rely on some people on some stuff,.when they explain somethings to me,.well i ask them for evidence..and if i think that the evidence is sound then i accept it, if not i don't. unlike the bible,..no evidence whatoever,..it's all personal testmonies. science is a self correcting process experts working together, reviewing each other claims, and correcting each other, and when something is wrong,.their the 1st to admit it. they never claim 2 kno things they don't
@menno000 and we all know that the people were so primitive, they believe so much in magic, and they were so superstitious..plus why don't we see miracles today,..i mean miracles like the Moses' miracles,..spliting the red sea,..6 millions Jews were killed during Holaucost, we didn't see miracles that they suppodly used to performed according to the bible. The eye witness testmony isn't reliable at all,..especially the one from 2000 years ago
@menno000" "can't put God in a box and present Him to you :) Some things (like scientific theories but also knowing that your wife loves you)" this is the evidence for god,..ask him to show up to someone,..ask him to help us find cure for cancer than can cure babies. Also your wife, loving you is actually a self-manifasting thing,..i mean plus you can show me ur wife,i can see it for myself dat she actually love you..u don't have to prove it. also,..the reason i think god was created by men is.
@menno000 it's hard to find 2 theists who actually agree on the definition of god, everyone have the definition for god. plus gods have always existed, but they evolve as our scientific knowledge evolve,...in ancient greek gods thought to b living on mountains, then it was changed by the hindus gods lived in the stars,..ancient christianity and Hebrew religion's gods lived in the heaven/sky.. some people today god lives outside of time and space... i mean come on...don't u see how it made up?
@Atheist603 I could reply but I'm done now. This leads to nowhere, none of us is changed by the arguments of the other. I won't reply anymore, I'll leave this website and go on with my life. I wish you all the best. We both have a world of information out there to explore, let's do that and one day we'll see if there's a God or not. If there is not neither of us will ever know. I have nothing to loose so I'll stick with my conviction :) It was nice & interesting to meet you! I wish you the best!
let's assume for a while that some God created the universe and Adam and Eve too. Adam's and Eve's children (the second generation of humans, Adam & Eve being the first) were siblings, right ?? so what you're saying is that brothers and sisters used to sleep together and the entire human race is the product of INCEST. Isn't that SICK!!!!
Great. Just what we need. More conflating just a theory with no evidence backing it. Justifying people who say "Just a theory". That is "just" what we need.
@Pushtrak I was thinking of cutting that part out, but I didn't want to censor it. Even though it's stupid. I think most of my subscribers know what a theory is in the science world.
@TheLaughingOut Oh, I know that most of us will know that. This was aired on TV, so it is better left in anyway. Showing us what we are up against. I get my news on the internet. It's sad.
Here, people talk about how great the BBC are, and that is what they watch for news, but they made this error for one. Actually, I think the user potholer54 has referred to media inaccuracy in one of his videos. Brilliant youtuber, now that I mention it.
@Pushtrak "Here, people talk about how great the BBC are"
From the U.S., I can guarantee if I looked for a few minutes I could find a number of articles with the headline "Hawkings attempts to disprove God", so relatively speaking, the BBC are absolutely brilliant.

@GateMessenger You say this in different forms, but you comment can be summed up in the last sentence, "Without God there is no consciousness."
Can you offer any evidence that this is true? Or do you just like the way it sounds?
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut Yes, I already did. Roger G. Vogelsang created a device which worked using randomness. He used a random emitting Americium-241 particle coupled with a random character generating program which showed the wave to have a consciousness, i.e., was aware and knew potentials ahead of our slow mass time. This was before the term universal consciousness was coined. Think about this, if a tiny inanimate piece of radioactive material is conscious then what does this say about the universe?
GateMessenger 1 year ago
@GateMessenger LOL you're hilarious.
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut Well, this is true, Vogelsang was not the only one to claim to have witnessed this device in action, so I have no reason not to believe it. Would you believe 2 people who both said they witnessed a crime? Only one witness is needed to convict a person in a court of law. And if this were true it would mean, well lets see, what in the universe emits waves from radioactivity? Almost everything, all the Jovian planets, the sun, stars, black holes, the core of Earth & more!
GateMessenger 1 year ago
@GateMessenger You believe everything you're told? Oh but you'll believe it if two people say it. If that were true you'd follow all the religions in the world. Show me the scientific evidence or stop wasting your time.
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut Serious? Vogelsang was a qualified theoretical physicist, I would not believe somebody without credentials. Do you believe in a universal consciousness or was Einstein wrong when he deduced that from his special relativity equations? Or what about Bell's Theorem where it describes the psi phenomena? How about the Big Bang where it needs a cause before the effect(Tangled Hierarchy). If something is measurable, evidence can be determined.
GateMessenger 1 year ago
GateMessenger 1 year ago
GateMessenger 1 year ago
GateMessenger 1 year ago
..... artificial intelligence is not in the programming it is in the hardware.

Sorry, I should of said influencing not in, which would read as "There needs be a consciousness influencing all things which need no programming"

I wish you all the best, take care!!
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 see,..first of all did I say that i believe in the multi-verse theory? no i said it's possible that's how it happened. second of all you can't ever disprove anything,..if i said i have a invisible pink unicorn in my back yard,.it's immaterial,..i can only speak to it nobody else,..well i can't prove it to you, and you can't disprove it either. Also if you think that the universe needs to have a creator, then ur creator needs to have a creator in order to have some purpose,..
Atheist603 1 year ago
@menno000 and yes,..believing something because of ur human emotions have nothing to do with reality,..i mean you can believe all you want, but it doesn't make it true,....what you have to know is, using our human common sense can be misleading,..our brains are fallible, and that's y we use the tools of science. it's not logical to believe something to be real just because you feel like it,..you feels haven't any bearing on reality...they're irrelevant wen it comes to reality. so yeah..w/e man
Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 Human emotions do have something 2do with reality. If you love your wife or mother, that is true but you can't proof it. You also can't proof that everything needs proof in order to be true. That claim itself can't be proven. I mentioned the MVT because it is THE escape hole for people looking for an alternative to God. Everything coming from nothing is at least a plausible hint for the existence of something OUTSIDE of the universe creating it. It can't bring itself into being.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 so 2 u the idea of.somethin came from nothing to creating this huge universe out of nothing...is more plausible than saying the universe started from an atomic size to a universal size? to me sir ur insane lol i mean, look at it like this,..just like humans they way we started from smothing as small as a sperm to a full human being,..trees came form something as small as a seed to something as big as a tree,..so why can't the universe start like that? not out of nothning,..
Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 I'm not a physicist but I read Hawkins and others and they do claim that, that it came out of nothing. But even with a tiny particle you run into some explanation problems.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 and when physicist say something from nothing, they don't actually mean nothing the way we colloquially know it, like the singularity wasn't nothing,..there's no such things as nothing in the quantum world,..it was just imaginably small, something that you can't see with an naked eye, but there was something. like i said even nothing,..like empty space can be weighted, it weights something...
Atheist603 1 year ago
Wouldn't you think it would be so bad if we met another species who didn't believe in anything?!

Where did the touch paper itself come from? Isn't gravity something (as opposed to nothing)?
evangelical1 1 year ago
@evangelical1 I am not a physicist, so don't take my word for it.
Gravity as I understand it is an effect created by matter. It's a distortion in space that draws matter together. I don't know how this effect could exist without matter.
But I haven't read the book yet.
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut but isn't that a circular cause and consequence? Matter did not exist be4 the big bang so if matter would be needed to create gravity neither of them would exist.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 Yeah, after looking further into that I believe that I was wrong. Again, not a physicist.
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut no problem, thanks for the reply. I'm not a physicist either, is interesting to learn about it a little though. Kind regards, Menno
menno000 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut Yes, gravity is a curvature of space time. So in a sense it is not some THING. Rather, it is an effect of something. But there is still something. If there is absolutely nothing then there would be no gravity. I haven't read the book yet either but I have it on reserve at my local library. After I read it I hope to give a more informed critique.

saying god created the universe doesn't explain anything at all
Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 it would explain the universe, that's enough. You don't need an explanation of the explanation for it to be true. Dr. Craig has a nice example: supose you find very old Indian tools, weapons etc. in an area where you never expected any Indians. You are amazed but have to conclude, based on the findings, that there were Indians in that area. You can't explain why they were there and how they got there (you can't explain the tools/explanation) but they were there.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 Saying, "god did it" is not an explanation. If I catch my son writing on the wall and I tell him to explain himself then I'm not going to accept, "I wrote on the wall" as an explanation. Why, how, when, where, what, etc. Saying god did it does not answer any of these questions and thus offers no explanation other than 'who', the one question that doesn't even make sense to ask.
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut If God did create the universe that would be an explanation for the universe, if you deny that you're not making any sense. A painter painted a painting, we can accept that. Does not explain the painter nor the purpose of the painting but at least now we know who or what created the painting. Your son did write on the wall, it explains how the text got there! Now you can ask HIM why he did it and how, when etc. You confuse motivation with the act. There is more than 1 question.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 lol Dr. Craig is a crack pot,..i mean really? the ancient indian tools don't occur naturally, but the universe does. I mean the big bang was a natural phenomenon, gallaxy formation, solar systems, planets and stars, life they all occured according to natural law, and they form w/o any divine intervention. saying that god created the universe isn't different than saying Zeus is in fact the one behind Lightning
Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 I was simply commenting on your argument that "God" does not explain anything at all. I figured you were refering to the idea that then God would need an explanation as well, THAT would be nonsence and THAT is what I explain with that argument. I'm not comparing that to the universe :) Concerning the laws: even they had a beginning. And some laws like the 2nd law of Thermodynamics is a nice argument against an eternal universe. But we already have the BB so that's ok already :)

Do you understand now?
menno000 1 year ago
@Atheist603 Have you seen all his debaters? Have you even read/watched Craig's work for yourself? And WHY is an argument stupid if it involves a Christian God? That is an assumption(!) you can't prove. I could write a lot to you about real good scientific reasons to believe in a God but I refer you to craig's vids. Because as someone famous said "the truth is out there", if you WANT to know, you will. But you are not willing to even consider the possibility of a God, that's faith, not science.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 I'm sure it's futile because you seem to be ignoring my comments, but I would very much like to hear about these "scientific" reasons for believing in a god. Please show them to me. In a PM if you must, but if there's scientific evidence then I want to know about it! Thanks.
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut No I'm done here because I know from experience that I really am wasting my time debating. I just posted something about the staggering odds for our existence. You mention Darwin but they guy did not even know about cells, let alone dna! Dna is information, it even checks itself for errors. I simply look at the odds of how it could be here out of pure chance. That takes more faith than te believe in a God, really. Big bang, the constant but yet created laws, dna, you and I... etc
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 You're done here not because of experience, I can tell you don't have much, you're done here because I'm calling you out on your claim that you have scientific evidence. You don't. You don't have any. None. None at all. If you did then you would show it to me. I will be happy to believe in god when you show me this evidence you have. As for evolution, you know nothing at all about it. This is obvious. Read a book on it that was written by a scientist, not a creationist.
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago

God to me is simply more plausible and logical.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 You're new at this aren't you? Atheism is the rejection of the claim that a god or gods exist. It has nothing to do with proof.
To address your other comment, the books I listed do not go against god at all. They only offer explanations to scientific questions concerning the origin of everything.
I was a Christian for 8 years. Is that open minded enough for you?
Still waiting for that scientific evidence for god that you apparently have.
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut I am not new, you don't know the difference between atheism and agnosticism! I explained it already, look it up yourself. And those books are indeed scientific but you don't seem to read anything from scientists who disagree with Darwin's THEORY. You accept that theory as blind faith and do not study the alternatives. And if you really were a Christian, why don't believe the best historical document there is? And what about the prophecies like Isiah 53 and MANY others?
menno000 1 year ago

Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 Agreed! Indeed, you should simply study the facts and come to a conclusion. We may never have all the facts and some things can't be proven. But one can come to the most likely explanation. Modern science takes us to the big bang, first there was nothing, bang, and here we are. There is no proof for multi-verses and they too would require explaining (the rules that govern that 'system' as a whole). When considering all the facts, God should not be ruled out, that's all I'm saying.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 no, so r u saying that u'd rather believe in god instead sayin of idk? i think saying idk is better, i'd rather die not knowin, instead of accepting things w/o any evidence. n the big bang mite not necessarily b the beginnin cuz in the quantum world word nothing is really like nothing the way you think about it, even empty space weights something. there's always energy. and we know that energy and matter can't b created, they jus change their forms,..that y i think they always existed
Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 By the way, maybe you should watch some of the debates with Dr. William Lane Craig, you'll find he's certainly not a crack pot. He makes more sense and is much more consistent then most atheist 'scientists' out there. I watched many debates with a complete open mind, waiting for good arguments by the others but they simply did not have better arguments, often very poor reasoning indeed. But instead of typing everything he teaches, watch the vids yourself. Take care.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 Instead of watching debates, read books. Logic can be used to prove anything. I can logically prove the existence of god and the non-existence of god for example. Instead of just listening for convincing speeches, read On The Origin Of Species, or A Brief History Of Time, or this new book, The Grand Design.
TheLaughingOut 1 year ago
@TheLaughingOut I read books thank you. But you only mention books that go against God, do you also read other stuff, with an open mind?
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 noo, don't look up at some dictionairy of something,..Atheist is anybody who doesn't believe in God,..i don't know if he exist or not, but i don't believe in it.. on the other hand you don't believe in god, you believe in the belief in god...plus the finetuning, DNA argument doesn't really hold any ground because think about it,.we can say that the universe universe is fined tuned becuz we exist in it,
Atheist603 1 year ago
@menno000 mayb if there are other creatures out there who their world might b made up of methane gas, which we can't live in, they'd be saying look there's a god, our planet is tuned for life. the bottom line is the universe wasn't made for life, but life happen to be one of many things that exist in this universe, including some other things than are really harmful to life...so idk wat our universe is fine tuned for blackholes? empty space? rocks?
Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 "just happened", that is your faith and so-called science. In the end you believe in 100% coincidence, pure chance and stuff popping into being out of nothing. Matter and energy are not eternal. Everything started with the big bang and even Hawkins admits that and simply says "Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing". He doesn't explain the blue touch paper nor the law of gravity and no proof for multi-verses! Is that good science and logic?
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 see,..it's not that i'm defending the faith position, but idk y u think u can use it and nobody else can. Also,..the multiverse theory is actually supported mathematics, if you look at the M-theory is all mathematics, and actually scientist are working on it, and seeing how it can be tested like other theories, that's what the LHC was actually trying to test some of that, also including the big bang. that's the reason i think the multi-verse theory is possible, there's math behind it,
Atheist603 1 year ago
@menno000 but on the other hand, god isn't support by nothing,..there's no equation that might even discribe what it might b,..i mean nothing, i don't even see how he created things.. and it just happened, it's not my faith,..i have a reason to say that because things happened,..i have evidence for the universe, it happened,...i mean do you have evidence for what caused it? no,..so it happened u agree right? what else do you need? a y question, y do we need the "why" question? it's not faith..
Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 I do understand you a little but we live in 2 'different worlds' I think, we have the same facts I think but we see different things :-) That is interesting, I do like to read what you guys think! I had a time (6 years) I didn't WANT God to exist but personally I just can't ignore certain things (despite the fact that I too sometimes have big questions) . Apart from all science, the biggest reason for faith is inside of me, that I can't show or proof, just experience. Kind regards.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 listen, i've actually experienced "god" to,..but it was after i smoked weed,..the purple hays,..i mean that experience felt realer than real life,..i freaked out,..it told me to go tell my mom all my secrets, so i went to tell her,..the it started making me do things i had no control over,..the next day, i realize that our brains can make us see and feel things that aren't real.. also it's not that i don't want go not to exist,..but i jus can't accept things w/o ne evidence.
Atheist603 1 year ago
@menno000 if there's some evidence,..if anybody show me real evidence, i'll believe that there's a god, but until then i'll live my life like it doesn't exist,..same for unicorns, fairies, bogyman etc... i just want some evidence that's it..
Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 In the end even evidence requires a certain amount of faith to accept. You can for instance accept the bible where there are many eye witnesses who give their reports (and lives) for what they have seen. The NT is accepted by most modern scholars as being historically trustworthy. All that remains is: do you believe those eye witnesses? But also the big bang theory, the multiverse, size of the universe etc. You have to accept those ideas because you trust the people who did the math.
menno000 1 year ago
@Atheist603 But no, I can't put God in a box and present Him to you :) Some things (like scientific theories but also knowing that your wife loves you) require faith. And God requires faith too. The bibles says that those who believe/trust will be saved. Thomas did put his finger in Jesus side but Jesus said "blessed are those who believe without having seen". In that sense I'm wrong debating here I guess. Ah well, interesting to read your thoughts in any case.
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 no sir,..the science,..i have no trust in those pplz who do the science,..it's there i've looked at it myself, the evidence is there. the big bang was predicted a longtime ago,..then the evidence the was predicted that supported it was found much later,..so that's evidence. and the math,..i'm a physics major,..i've done it,.and did it myself and it actually worked as predicted. plus the bible isn't a 1st witness testmony,..it was written like decade after JC supposedly lived..
Atheist603 1 year ago
@Atheist603 Ah so you have made all the observations all the scientists ever did? You yourself detected the background radiation? You yourself made and looked at the hubble's photo's? menno000 1 year ago
Atheist603 1 year ago

Atheist603 1 year ago
@menno000 it's hard to find 2 theists who actually agree on the definition of god, everyone have the definition for god. plus gods have always existed, but they evolve as our scientific knowledge evolve,...in ancient greek gods thought to b living on mountains, then it was changed by the hindus gods lived in the stars,..ancient christianity and Hebrew religion's gods lived in the heaven/sky.. some people today god lives outside of time and space... i mean come on...don't u see how it made up?
