  • "As the vet squeezes the cat's bottom, you can appreciate the material coming out from both anal gland openings"

  • there are some things worth paying someone else to do, no matter how simple they may be

  • I am coming to terms with having to do this to my fucking cat. Why can't he clean his arsehole like any normal person.

  • Actually my vet charged about $30 - she said it's so gross they charge a lot - but my dog is scooting so I may try it - with a bourbon ready to chug afterwards!

  • Let me tell you, I am taking my cat in tomorrow to get his expressed because the stench is so vile! It makes my eyes water. It's really terrible! :(

  • "You can appreciate the material coming out of the anal gland openings." wtf

  • Ug my dog needs to get this done, I'll probably just fork out the money for a vet I hear it doesn't cost more than $20

  • @RidX4Ricers If you go to a groomers, it's only like 5$

  • i gotta do this to my dog ugh

  • I find it quite easy to masturbate to this video!

  • I think I'm going to faint :s

  • To be honest I'm glad the video was as graphic as possible. I have to do this to my cat soon, so.. At least I know where the goo will come out of now.

  • Thank you very much, very useful for my French Bulldog rescue who came to us with a HUGE bottom! Someone suggested this and I immediately googled which presented me with your video. He isn't happy about me touching his bottom like that but it has gone down tremendously! Will feature this in my Frenchie blog xxx

  • i was eating a burrito when i saw this 0_0

  • The weird side of youtube again. My dog better learn to express his own ass juice. Ugh.

  • "back passage," ROFL

  • wow...i just gagged in my mouth lol..

  • i already knew what to do... but my brother-in-law found this helpul because his dog was smelly and he didn't know so i sent him a link to this and a few other vids

  • really, its age restricted wtf is the matter with people

  • Thank you for the video. I had to look this up in the past due to my cat who has this issue every so often. I didn't know it was painful, and felt it was just disturbing for her to have this done...will have to be careful in the future. It's helpful to have 2 people, but I really wish there was a good way to do this with just one. I've tried with my cat, and it's not very easy.

  • This is very helpful - thank you so much! I'll definitely stick to the first method though!!

  • people went to college to do this

  • people went to collage to do this

  • URGH WTF DID I JUST CLICK ON....

  • ewww but thanks very helpful.....maybe now my cat will stop scooting and making poop trails on the wood floors

  • @jacobs1g It's basically just a secretion used to mark territory, but when it gets blocked, it gets all nasty and gross like that. Normally, it's yellowish fluid.

  • This really helped me with my cat. If she stops scooting I know I got rid of all the discomfort, and a vet visit won't be necessary anymore. VERY informative. Thank you so much!

  • Well, I don't have the money to go to hte vet so I'm about to do the grossest thing I've ever done in my life. Thanks for the video, helped. :( Wish me luck..

  • this was a really helpfull video, i did it to my dog and it worked perfectly probably saved my $100 too

  • Is this necessary for all dogs?? As I do't think I ever done this to my dog nor the vet >.< and since my dog doesn't need grooming so impossible that the groomer had done that.

  • ugh better go buy gloves and masks asap rather then pay the vet

  • Pets are kind of like emo kids. They just can't express themselves without dragging their butts.

  • @Aang1 LMAO, love your comment.

  • Good video, thanks. I've never had to do this, and even though my Ex is a Vet, I'd just as soon get it done and make him stop scooting tonight instead of making an appointment.

  • Thank you for the video. It is all part of pet care and if it is too gross, either take your furbaby to the vet, or don't have a pet at all.

  • Thanks. This is a clear and helpful video of a professional vet who is wearing gloves. I have seen several of the DIY at home gland expressing videos and I see long manicured nails getting all up in the dog's rear and NO gloves. I am not sure why people do not wear gloves because that is pretty gross. It's good to see the smart thing being done in this video.

  • Do I really have to do this.... Oh I don't want to do this.... But if it'll make my cat stop scooting his b-hind around everywhere, I have to do this! =/ The joys of parenthood!

  • this is great!! never know how to do it..thanks

  • 1:17 lmao is that KY jelly?

  • i like how they call the dog patients haha

  • @10 omg that's so gross! Haha

  • I feel a bit sik now I think I need a fag lol

  • you can really injure your dogs anal glands do not do it let your vet do it

  • Comment removed

  • @jacobs1g yes

  • I never knew how to do this...my vet always does it on my dog, but he told me i could do it myself.

  • "you can APPRECIATE the material coming out..." Folks, if that's not a distinctly British use of English, I don't know what is!

Do prospective, junior vets wake up one morning and declare, "Dang! I want to express anal glands when I grow up!"?

  • @LunarTuner

    lol at the british

and I always wanted to be a nurse...I definitely didn't say when I was younger "gee i can't wait to give an enema or fish out feces with my fingers" =D just comes with the job...along with a million other gross things, but you get used to it and things don't quite bother you anymore

  • I find this difficult to masturbate to.

  • @Azertificate But not impossible?

  • that cat is scarred for life :D

  • Best porn on youtube.

  • I have never had to do with my doggy, he never gets his glands swollen.

  • GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • That guy seems excited to squeeze that dog's ass hole.

  • I was watching exploding toe. Htf did I end up here?

  • @achaeaplayer2010 u ended up here by clicking this video in the suggested videos bar

  • Ow. Poor cat...

  • LOL... just lol :D

  • oh god its like a big poo zit

  • Thanks. It was actually quite easy once you feel the swollen glands and know where to squeeze. Took me only a few seconds (but a few minutes to hold the cat down!)

  • when are dogs get the fish ass smell, this needs to happen

  • I AM SO GLAD PEOPLE DONT HAVE THIS PROBLEM!

  • ..........I came here because of reddit. Where's the funny?

  • @Jehosh27 I linked to a Penny-Arcade comic about that. While you're here though, have some awful instead.

  • @Jinmarui Heh.... Excuse me waiter, there's a hare in this soup...

  • Dx nasty

  • Very instructive video. Two pets I knew needed surgery for impacted anal glands: very expensive. I started doing my cats myself. The first time is smelly, but if you do it regularly, once or twice a month, it barely has an odor.

  • What I don't understand is, for so many animals to 'need' their glands to be expressed, I wonder what happens to animals in the WILD that have backed-up glands. Do they suffer until there's an infection/eruption/death? Or is it because PETS have a different diet, which causes the glands to become more blocked?

btw, I just expressed one of my cat's glands right now because she was dehydrated and was 'blocked up'. I can't stand the smell but it's way cheaper than going to the vet.

  • @thecommercialedge One theory I've heard is that it happens to house pets due to their soft diet. Animals in the wild get a lot more "roughage" (think "fiber") from the critters and plants they eat - and that helps to express the glands naturally when whilst they defecate. I'm sure someone out there can either verify or correct what I was told. -WP

  • @thecommercialedge

Pets have been shaped by the breeding habits of humans so factors such as birthing, anal glands, and other biological issues that are issues with dogs and cats are not seen in nature because well--those creatures that have those issues are most likely to die before passing out their genes. Dogs before humans came around were just the common gray wolf. Compare a wolf to a pug, they're the same species. See the problem?

  • @sweetwater88 Same genus, different species

  • @thecommercialedge Domesticated cats and dogs don't always need our help to express their glands. They can do it intentionally, and instinctually , using friction - no doubt you've seen Buddy or Whiskers doing the Butt Scootin' Boogie. Sometimes secretions occur spontaneously by involuntary contraction when Max is excited, frightened, or stressed. Or the contractions can be deliberately triggered by Roxie to mark her territory.

  • @abclooking Hey thanks for the information. Makes perfect sense. :-)

  • Ok, that is really gross, I will bring fido to the vet, yuk!

  • Thank u for this, if you leave it blocked it is soooo painful for the animal. It is not f'd up or cruel to express the glands. It's cruel to leave it blocked! U ppl r freakin morons to say "ick" or "eeewww" or "you ppl r f'd up" whats better? Leaving the poor animal in a pain unlike any you can imagine?

  • 200$ for a procedure that takes 2 seconds!! OMGOMG this ER Vet is a rip off! I had to do it myself to a bucking snarling Pitt Bull :( Poor Bella Boo. I felt so bad for her.

  • U guys r fcked up!!

  • I can't imagine being a cat and being that clogged up. Must feel awful! Have to say this has put me off trying to do it to my dog... will leave it to the vet. But good to know how!

  • I am about to do this to my almost 60 pd Pitt Bull Bella. If I dont write back u know why-she killed me in my bathroom ;) Poor Bella..Poor me! BUT at the Vet on a Sunday will be over 100$ or tonight actually.

  • SO NASTY!!!

  • Just did our dog...the economy is bad so had to watch this video..learned how...did it...and ummm yeah...its done...yikes

  • don't try this on a person.

  • :|

  • Jesus christ

  • Wait, I have a legit question. How would you know if your dog or cat needed this done? I'm assuming there are some sort of symptoms instead of this needing to be a regular thing?

  • @fatpossum22 Ok this is what you will notice. There butthole will smell HORRIBLE, almost like poop, but worse, they might rub there butts against the ground, or they might have some constipation.

  • In response to so many comments - if you're making a joke of this, you are either immature or disgusting or both. I am getting a little grossed out by this, but I also understand that I do truly care for my pet and if this is what she needs I will do it for her. It's too much at $25/vet trip.

  • @solb0090 can you answer some of my question, you seem mature. um do we have to do this everyday? what are the symptoms? pls i really need to know

  • @doyouhavebieberfever First, I would google the term "anal glands" and some dog sites explain it better. I noticed a constant odor with my dog, so I first asked our vet about it. I would recommend asking them and having them explain the procedure the first time. Some dogs never need it done, some every few weeks or so. Symptoms can be: odor, dogs dragging their rear on the ground, chasing and biting at their tail.

  • lmfao... press 6 and watch the vet... whatcha so smiley about buddy? ;)

  • lol at the dog 1:13 he's like "wtf is going on?!?!"

  • Oh dear god no.

  • Omg i actually just wretched. Why the fuck do i watch these videos. And i was chewing gum as well, and now i can't even have anything in my mouth.

  • Very helpful video. To all you morons who had nothing to say but things like "Oh, yuck" --GROW UP! What did you expect to see? Someone pulling little yellow daisies out of the dog's butt?

  • @lagunalady417 YES!!! i was expecting daisies and/or roses!!!!

  • @lagunalady417 lol good one!

  • @lagunalady417

    Yes. Daisies.

  • @lagunalady417 That would be something to see though.

  • god we cant afford the damn vet and my dogs vet coverage just expired, which leaves me with only one option............................... FEED HIM ACID SO THE POOP DISOLVES!

  • who fucking does this shit for a living

  • @ItalianMONSTER53 vets?? groomers?

  • You can appriciate the material coming out from both anal gland openings. (NASTY) and i do not appriciate.

  • Welp, since I have no paper, I gotta do this myself cuss my baby Blade(hes a kitten)needs this done, It's gonna suck yea, but so what, I love him so much I'll do anything for him, wish me luck people.

  • Welp, gotta get into gear, my baby Blade(hes a kitten)needs this done, I have no money to take him to the vet so I gotta do this myself, but hey, lI love him enough to not give a fuck, I'll do anything for him.

  • i want to be a vet so my mom told me i had to do this for my doggie now..OMG EWW so freaking horrible. it smelt SOOOOOO HORRIBLE!! uhg. his glands were swollen cuz there was so much.. uhg EWW

  • This is very helpful information! My cat is always getting fur balls and constipated. Hopefully, this will help his problem. It kills me to see him in such pain and discomfort. I have started feeding my cat raw pumpkin to help to his digestion. It seems to be working but I need to be more consistent in feeding him raw pumpkin. He likes dry food and I have to force feed him and he gets put out with me. Later, however, he comes back and very cuddly. As if to say, "thank you"..I feel better

  • Stopped at 50 secs ... fuck that! I'm taking my boxer to Petco!

  • @LoveeuuKarryaa727 I'll chat!

  • OMG ITS THE DOG PORN VERSION OF TWO GIRLS ONE CUP! FIDO SHEILD YOUR EYES

  • I could do this I could do this

Oh woah I feel a bit queezy but I know I can do it

  • Gross.!!!!!...i was in vet tech school and quit b/c i didnt wanna do this.lol...that and the field was hard work =/

  • smell it...SMELL IT

  • Oh, EW! I think I'll be taking my dog to the groomer for this service, after all.

  • lmfaooo thanks youtube for showing me what i'd otherwise be attempting myself. calling vet ASAP.

  • i do appreciate the anal glands contents

  • ctfxc :s

  • @chucktone11 what does ctfxc has to do with anything?

  • @tumidekona you obviously are not a true fan if you do not know what they have to do with the video.

  • @chucktone11 well ur the only person who commented about them and i guess im the only guy who responded to that.. says alot dnt it? what there dog had some kind of shit problem aswell? lol i actually came across this vid from another vlogger! lol. this is so weird!. are we like enemy's now? lol

  • No. Not going to happen. Calling the vet to deal with the shit zits glands.

  • @SatiG215 ya fuck that.

  • my parents want me to start doing it for my dog instead of the vet to "save money" ... why, God. why

  • @mmandafrank ---lol!! you are so funny! hahaha!

  • Respond to this video...

Your dog will be very grateful to you. Probably not while you are doing it but, later he will express his appreciation.

  • I wonder if I could hire this british chick to express my glands ;)

  • @errdayimhustlin That was so nasty.

  • The cat was nasty and thick like paste, the dog wasn't as bad.

  • D: this is gross but I guess it has to be done.

  • Cant believe i just watched that...ha...learn something new every day.

  • for some reason i just touched my face and almost freaked out

  • i had to bring my 80 pound dog to get this done one time, he knew what was going on, so i had to pin him against the wall so the vet could do that. I felt so bad.

  • what an awkward video

  • omg! WTF?? I DIDNT KNEW CATS AND DIGS HAVE THIS

  • Do all cats and dogs need this proceedure done? Never knew this before. How about humans, how do we express our anal glands if needed?

  • @weatherboi

    Humans don't have anal glands.

  • @pretzel0088 Thank you doctor.

  • @weatherboi If you think you have anal glands, then you definitely should have them expressed.

  • Everytime I have my pets glands cleared at the vet. I call the doctor a sick fucker. Then he laughs thinking I'm joking. Lol. It's a good thing.

  • Lol, none of the people commenting could ever be a doctor or vet, i was eating when watching this and had no trouble.

  • @foxknight19 Well hooooorayyyyy for you!,,,fuckin' geek!

  • im gonna fucking barf

  • It's not only active lifestyle that hekps but is naturally handled when cats poop! That exerts pressure and helps express the glands. Also diet counts. In the wild they probably chew grass and like someone said they rub their asses on the ground( or on the floor of the house!)'my 2 young kittens seem to get that funky build up and I pity them but have a technique( no invasion) their mama has no problem and she's a large and slow Granola Bar :-) it's just one of those things

  • THAT WAS NASTY.....gonna watch it again

  • HOW DO ANIMALS HANDLE THIS W/O HUMANS STICKING FINGERS IN THEIR ASS

? LIKE IN THE WILD...DO THEY JUST RUB THEIR ASSES UNTIL THEY DIE.

  • @phunkblister They don't need to. If a pet has an active lifestyle, they really don't ever encounter this issue. However, if you have a dog or cat that just lazes around all day, then they will develop problems. The glands are stimulated and regulated when they walk or run and if that doesn't happen, you get build-ups in the glands.

  • @riplox1986 They also have sex in nature which stimulates those silly little glands. Most pets today are spayed/neutered (as they should be) so the glands don't get massaged as much as they should.

  • "introducing a finger into the back passage."

    ...if you say so.

  • BARF.

  • That was the absolute biggest mistake of my life watching that.

  • @eric213798 hahahaha

  • breaking out the KY

  • It kind of looks like the oil packets you get from instant noodle bowls. or bouillon paste yuk!

  • @rolandviado New concept. Instant noodle bowels!

  • ugh sick I was just eating nutella

  • This was very helpful and one of the few yet best videos out there for explaining how to do this. My cat has had problems with his glands since he was a kitten, I'm sure he feels much better and more comfortable with me doing it..and now I'm not spending money every few months taking him to the vet. Although gross this video was necessary and very helpful thank you

  • UUUUGGGGGGGHH! Why oh Why did i look this up???!!! I think Ill just take my dog to the vet. Dnt think ill be eating today either.

  • @lyric2006 Roger That!

  • the dog knows...

  • EEEEEEEWWWW! It's like.... POPPING A HUGE ZIT!

  • Thx for the video.

  • chocolate anyone?

  • Oh my god I just had to do that to one of my dogs -_- (without inserting a finger, I don't want to do that :p). My dog kept on licking his ass, it drove me crazy and it probably drove him crazy too, since it was very red and swollen. Normally my parents would do this stuff, but now I had to do it, because they're not home yet... I can say one thing: I did it successfully, but I almost puked!!

  • Is lubricant or alcochol???

  • i think he just molested that cat

  • THE BEST VIDEO ON THIS OUT THERE!! DO SOME MORE PLEASE!!

  • Oh rotten!!

  • is this like a glitch or something?

  • i feel sick!!!

  • Lmao. This video is incredible.

  • That dude just fingered me! WHY? SO I CAN SHIT ALL OVER HIS FINGERS.......YOU SICK BASTARD!

  • 1:09 the dog is thinking I know your up to something

  • I have to hold my breathe when i do it to my cat

  • @MzKalunji lmaaaaaaao yeah same/ Not a lot comes out though.. is it cause imnot doing it properly//

    check my vid.. lol

  • @moniquitaas where's the video? i just realized you answered lol
