I didn't take offense, though I still think speaking in hypotheticals is foolish. Just gives non-thinkers the chance to accuse others of hypothetical behavior. And Obama's planned tax hikes for "the rich" will trickle down, same as all tax hikes do.

And forgive me for trusting independent economic specialists over you, when they say Obama's plans are far better than McCain's. To me it seems like Repub supporters so desperate to support their side, they're even forgoing their common sense. Palin already has more scandals & major lies than Obama.

The scandals seem a bit of a media creation. Trig is not her son? The extramarital affair rumor? Troopergate? It all smacks of desperation. Especially when the media won't ask Obama to explain any of his shady associations.

This is the media finding things on her because McCain chose her apparently out of nowhere even to their party. 1st McCain spends time belittling Obama's experience, then he pulls this. All this is so out of the blue already, but then she comes with all these scandals and even a preggers 17 yr old daughter, and the uber-christians are eating this up. Obama answered the questions & I believe his race made for thorough investigations into his scandals. Now it Palin's turn.

The media that lauded Dan Rather as he destroyed his career by basing coverage on allegations he couldn't prove? No this is the way they say they would behave. They believe in abstinence only education and in the Palin house Bristol wasnt hearing it. But does that disgust the bible-thumpers like they believe, or do they fold under a clever speech. They even believe a woman in labor would fly 8 hrs then drive 45 mins to give birth at her hospital. Both, actually. I worked in Chicago until six years ago, so much was gleaned from contacts there. And occasionally I'll get voracious and do internet research, though not so much these days. I have to remind myself I left journalism for good reason. My hat's off to you not having TV service!
