gareth bale is basically the equivalent of this guy but you know bales talent aint gonna be wasted. well, actually it well cos he will never get to play in the world cup. 150 million pound? hmmm so how much does that make iniesta, ribery and arjen robben who are all infinitely better
i remember one thing about Paul for Arsenal in those days....almost all his goals were clinical finishes or goal of the month contenders.
I agree - his vision AND technique were well ahead of its time, he was deservedly nicknamed 'Magic Man' and if anything, i would not hesitate to have him in my all time greatest Premiership XI.
1:55, GREAT pass from Rocastle, superb goal from one of the best marksmen of that era. Now just a shadow of his former self -- he must be, if he wants Harry the Twitch to be the next England manager.
i think winterburn (Cliche could nip in here too), keown/bould/, adams, and Dixon (Thomas Vermaelen could slot in next to Adams or Keown) were the best back four we have had in recent history, but the Graham team was not the best.

Yes if the ''Magic Man'' Paul Merson would have kept himself clean he could have been a great player from England as well as Arsenal, his vision and technique was long before it's time. hence why we called him the magic man.
i agree with joeryan. Best arsenal team was back in the graham days. English, maybe 1 or 2 foreign players (limpar !!!) good old days. It'll never be the same
i have to say i agree with G4eva, that was the team that i spent my formative years supporting, heros all, but I think technically Wengers sides would have the edge, if they were all in their prime though, Id pay any amount to watch that match, would be momumental.
Very good player in his day but has no idea what he is talking about as far as football is concerned, lately on sky sports he is always making mistakes and his predictions are amongst the worst ever. Total clueless pissed up tosser who ruined Walsall football club !
I'm no Arsenal fan but he was one of the greats, my favourite non-Gillingham player of all time. Finally got to see him play a few seasons ago when he was at Portsmouth and he did'nt disappoint. He completely ran the show.
6.00 remain in the top 6 and in that area without... what?

The Arsenal of George Graham - still the best clubs we've ever had, they'd have murdered Wenger's team, hands down.
Seaman, Dixon, Adams, Bould/Keown, Winterburn, Thomas, Rocastle, Merson, Limpar, Smith, Campbell/Wright
You can stick your Henrys, Anelkas and Vieiras up your arse.
We love you Merse.

I grew up watching that team but I dont agree with you.

you just must have something against french (Viera greatest center Midfielder EVER to play for arsenal and maybe in EPL)
