  • its not a conspiracy the people at the top do fucked up shit everyday like encouraging violence and theres many resons but cba explaining its long

  • I bet that cokehead felt like shit in the morning.

  • Richard. Do you remember the old Streetfigthsecrets video (I guess it got taken down) which had the song 'Out Here' by Strategy and PCT? It was awesome and I literally can't find it anywhere. I'm subscribed to the record label's (dangermoneyrecords) youtube and I've messaged them but nothing has come of it. Thanks

  • @b34rh34d yeah thats a great tune that, but that video clip got taken off youtube for being "too violent"

  • Is this clip off another program? If so whats the program?

  • i know i don't get on with doorman i dunno wht it is but but when ur drunk and u get rejected it just kind of pisses u off so i go 2 a bar where i know the bouncers and then i get on fine with them thts the problem with these people who go 2 like numerous clubs a night they get in 2 fights and arguments with people they don't know

  • I've been a bouncer for 16 years here in the US. We don't have the SIA shackles to deal with but you hit the nail right on the head. Well said.

  • I've been there. I personally don't feel comfortable outside of my house either for the same reasons. Unfortunately, I live in the US where there's an even higher propensity for violence. There are an increasing number of thugs in my town coming from Chicago and St. Louis. Quite a few muggings and unprovoked attacks happen, so, I'm always looking over my shoulder. I'm becoming increasingly paranoid. I enjoy your videos though, they make me feel better.

  • Hi Richard, great videos. There seem to be more doormen nowadays (I live in Bournemouth). I sometimes get intimidated by this because it creates an underlying tension to expect violence. I know it's totally necessary but it just shows that the culture in this country is in a bad way. I lived in Spain (where there's loads of coke/drinking too) and there's much less thuggish violence in comparison. What do you think creates this 'powder keg' I often sense on a night out in U.K? All the best.

  • fantastic video you have a really good maner to you. do you ever run any seminars or instructional days?

  • @moojab84 thankyou, check the website for details

  • have you done jujitsu as well because i do jujitsu and i think that its a combination of all of these

  • I'll be turning 40 in a couple of weeks and I'm a doorman at a large college club (900 people). I watched a few of your videos and want to complement you on your candor and your concepts/techniques of protection. I've seen many situations go from bad to worse in seconds. It's important to have strategies in place for your own personal safety. I just ordered your Thug - Jitsu DVD/manual and am looking forward to a good read. You can never have too much knowledge in this field. Thanks again

  • @ThatDankGuy Thankyou very much. Let me know how you get on with the material.

    Richie

  • 5:54 "People have a right to live in peace without feeling fearful for themselves and for their loved ones..."

  • Great Vid, whats the song that plays 54secs i see a few people have asked but have not got a answer ?? cheers

  • @121ricksta because I honestly dont know - this video clip was produced by Revolver FIlms

  • you are so correct at 4:16

  • I realize this video is pretty old, but is there a particular reason you started to train in the more "combative-sport" oriented martial arts? Did you feel that there was some kind of inadequacy to the Japanese arts you were learning? If so, what did you feel that they were, specifically?

  • @Ronnock yes, too much formality, lack of improvisation, too much compliance, lack of effective techniques/drills shown for my requirements.

  • @streetfightsecrets Thanks and I am inclined to agree.

  • Sad Storie Richard : (

but good that you did find the path to your life again! :D

  • Well spoken and U R correct !!!! Be on guard and be well !!!!!

  • serious question here how do give signals with body language saying if you fuck with me ill kill you with out it actually going into a fight ?

  • what worked better for you? martial arts or ki chuan do and traditional self defense methods?

  • been watching your videos and think they offer good advice, do you think its important to learn about the psychology of fighting aswell as your choosen sport/art because you do get wankers who because they have trained abit of boxing or whatever become overly aggressive due to the nature of the sport and there own increased confidence in fighting.

  • This is why I don't go out clubbing....best defense ...don't be their, + its cheaper to drink at home and I get to chose my music, no taxi's salmonella burgers and dickheads with attitude. Except me and you can't really fall out with yourself, i've tried but i always get shouted down :)

  • The same things have been happening for me the last days people I know and some who where somehow friends are attacking me. I fear to go out of my house because I'm quite scared of getting attacked by these assholes. Most of the times they attack in numbers, so does anyone know what techniques I should use agains't bigger people than you and that fight in numbers?

I'm around the 1.70-175 skinny but powerfull in fights and I'd gladly any advise I could get.

  • It appears there are a few out there who just don't get this guy. I have been into Martial Arts for over twenty years and to be honest most like boxing are good for a controlled environment i.e. ring/dojo. However the street fight has no rules and when fuelled with drugs- you have a completely ruthless opponent. IMAO this guy is offering an opportunity to learn something that takes encompasses these risks

  • luv this man

  • hi Rich Q: we have a lot of eastern Europeans in ireland as in the uk poles/Lithuanians and while most are nice people, some are not. i train in muay thai and bodybuilding but i look at some of these lads and think there Beasts ! they have all been in the army they go to the gym, they train in mixed martial arts and on the wend they get tanked up become very aggressive and beat the s**t outa some poor lad what chance really dose one have if attacked by someone like this? no racism intended;)

  • @elctronicmusic Well you'll get your more thug element in any group of people. Trained with E.European dudes when I lived in London, yep they like their MMA and they like their weights and they have a kind of "macho culture" thing going on. It's your job as a self protection practioner to use your social intelligence/psychology to get to know some of these guys, make a few allies. Just do what I did: start training with them. They open up really quick and are dead friendly in my experience.

  • @streetfightsecrets I would like to add: some remained total bellends, but a percentage slice of any demographic is reserved for "total bellends".

As to what you can do if attacked by a group of aggressive, tanked up, muscular guys who like to train in fighting... well if you're in that position you're in for a very rough night arent you?

to be honest you could be describing scousers : everyone seems to be on gear and everyone seems to be doing MMA

    happy days :)

  • Cool vid! P.S. C-grip is lame-never worked for me or anyone I know!

  • @streetmirage

    a. youre 20 and a gamer, how many times have you had to use it?

    b. is the move lame or the person delivering it - a rear naked choke is useless performed by a weak mal coordinated nerd with no intent or skill

  • @streetfightsecrets it didn't work for you when you used it either.

  • @christoffff "it has worked" every time, very well thanks

seriously though the sentence construction alone gives away peoples lack of experience: "it"? there is no "it" - so "it" cannot "work" its not a thing that performs a function well or fails to like a tool for a job. A "c-grip" is a nominalisation it describes a phenomena: one guy grabbing another guy around the throat, aggressively. The man works, the technique is incidental. Train. Get some experience.

  • nice!

  • great video. as a fellow doorman and self-protection instructor, i appreciate what you do.

  • Brilliant video truly inspiring I have high hopes for this video I agree with everything you said

  • As unusual as this sounds.... the day i was jumped changed my life for the better. i rushed into save a friend of mine..there was about 15 of them.. managed to escape looking like a goldfish... i dont know how..adrenaline?.. For some reason in the weeks after i became filled with this fire ...this energy.... iv never taken shit of anyone since. i suppose its like a dog that is beaten ...after a while it becomes a pitbull. I fear no man anymore..... which has its up's and down's ha ha lol

  • This videos great and it makes some good points,I also feel I can relate to what richard was saying with the fear since things happend to me in the past that sort of created this fear and tbh it was martial arts that got me back on my feet.

and as for doormen they should have equal power to the normal person, someone starts fucking breaking stuff and assaulting dam they should be dealt with. ( with the right ammount of force needed ofc)

  • yes but do you know HIDDEN PUMA PALM

  • really good vid mate all true

  • that is so true about the media hyping up that particular thing about when you try to help someone you get really badly hurt or killed. Its all about fear mungering but also to keep us seperated from each other so big brother can fuck us ^^ cool video

  • Nice clip, though unsure of the message he is sending. His argument seems to be based around the need to incorporate simple violence into an already violence plagued sector of the security industry. I agree with his stance on licensing wont fix everything and indeed Police and inevitably the bureaucrats need to be more responsive and forth coming with helping the sector self regulate. Although I disagree with allowing legislation to be changed to increase powers to private sector security,

  • Pt2: especially the power to use excessive force. Simply extending authority will indeed mean careless and irresponsible.

  • Really good video, and good opinions.. big ups.

  • just fucking brilliant !! simples

  • Good vid man

  • Great video. I'm sure many of us began our martial arts journey as a reaction to fear--or disturbing violence and brutality.

  • Great vid. Intelligent guy.

  • wow. you must be some fucking thug.

  • No wonder Brits thiink that Yanks are so ignorant, but it's US "of" A not US "and" A. If your going to use abbreviations than use the "fuxcking" correct ones. :)

  • ANYONE !!! i need help !!! ..i have always been a fighter had a good few scraps .ect ect but something happend the other night i was out with a few friends having a laugh when we where confronted another group of lads ..words where said and fists flew but for some ODD!! reason ,,i froze...cudnt move this has NEVER happend before ..my confidence is shatterd and my self of steem broken but the bad thing is im going on a door in town in few days ....what shud i do im fucked !!!

  • Y so angry? the ppl in the uk talk like the crack heads over here.

russia is so much more interesting than the uk

  • Britian = Joke. This is the reason I have taken up Kickboxing.

  • Any one have an idea what the song is at 54 seconds?

  • All this proves is that all you need to do is tke coke to be hard lol

  • sucnk his teeth into his back!!?? LOOOL

  • Comment removed

  • good video!! im a doorman and it so hard trying to deal with thugs when you know you do your job the police will be in checking the cctv to see if your actions were justifued. what makes me laugh is everyone thesedyas wants to fight the doorman cos they know they have sia. but when you give them what they want they cry to the police. bring back the ol days

  • WTF is a door man? do you mean bouncer?

  • First you're not able to copy what someone else writes? If they write "doorman" than they mean "dorrman". And anyway Its said in the video, and it's quite obvious from the context (video) that "doorman" is the same as "bouncer".

  • @grooveongreg Yep! Or gang up on you in the street all wanna be gangster. Then when you give a couple of them a nose job they call the cops lol Of course you have barley any dammage cause they suck, and they look like you beat them to hell. So who are the cops gonna arrest? I dont cause any trouble and mind my own buisness, unless I see an innocent getting hurt. But man if you want to hurt me for no reason, Then I'm going to make sure you get hurt even more! Some times ppl need a wake up ;) IMHO

  • hey guys im 5/7 11 st boxer and i wanna be a doorman is that too short ??????? please some advice iwould be appreciated

  • I doubt it, I dont think theres a height requirement as long as your tough enough to take out anybody that causes shit. Richard Grannon doesn't look that tall but hes built and can take care of himself.

  • there's a doorman in a club in my city about 5'7, but he is tanked up the fuck. he's at least 16 stone with muscles on top of muscles

  • cool story bro

  • brits are really violant. here in amsterdam they always walk in big groups and pick fights. although not every british tourist acts like this.

  • just the one in big groups?

  • Don't wanna sound like a fuckin gimp, but he has leterally hit the nail on the head! I agree with everypoint the bloke made, fair do's to him, shame the government don't watch this

  • 4:56

"it's almost like there is a conspiracy out there to generate this culture of fear"

Hit the nail on the head there.

    5*

    Good vid.

  • good stuff, went through similar myself mate, keep up the good work

  • anybody know the song that starts at 53 seconds??

  • I don't agree with all of what he's saying here. There are plenty of cops and Doormen that get around the legislation and vetting that like to beat people up whether they're doing anything wrong or not.

I know the kid that got put in a coma by the head bouncer of the opal lounge in Solihull. That guy had been beating kids up for years, and he pulled a clever trick on this one: he threw him out, waited for him to walk past the cctv by the door then called him back to knock him out.

  • The kid came out of his coma and had the testimonies of several witnesses for the court case. According to the Docs, due to the extent of his head injuries he was unbelievably lucky to survive without brain damage. (he hit the back of his head on the concrete outside where he fell from the force of the punch)

Head bouncer guy got sent down like the arrogant no good piece of shit that he was.

It's hard to sympathise with Bouncers when they act like guard dogs instead of security guards.

  • richard, im a doorman as well and agree with you, we r doing a favour to the government and the police and we dont have any support when we have to do our job, keep up the good work, respect brov, god bless

  • this guy needs his own show crudelli style, make a few politicians sit up and take notice.

  • absolutely spot on !! Propper doorman !

  • where can i watch it

  • look at the "more info" link to the right of the clip, go to the realoutlawsmovie website

  • cheers

  • @babsaloops did that really happen or did you make it up?

I see your 20 and from Liverpool - what door did this imaginary event take place on? and what firm were you working for?

  • @streetfightsecrets nah mate am not lying i dont care if you belive me or you dont ..am just saying you've more a less got to be a bullying prick for this job ..i HATED it ...its virtually intimidation to ordinary people but sucking ass to gangsters and for where an who i worked ..inimportant

  • @babsaloops its not "inimportant" mate as it would have helped you substantiate your claims, as it is I think your full of shit kid. Sorry.

  • very ture vido this guy is 100% right take notice

  • this videos so motivating for me

  • whos the old guy at the begining?

  • Alan Ford - "Bricktop" from Snatch

  • just watched snatch, pretty sick film to be honest well enjoyed it, cheers. outta interest did he record that for you or is it cut outta a movie?

  • He recorded it for the documentary "the real outlaws" which I featured in. The doc was made by revolver entertainment.

  • I trust you Rich!

  • your remind me of the guy from the movie "Crank"

  • one of very few that every man woman and child should watch and be familiar with

  • ..OnYA Rick..i like how you keep it real..all the best.

  • Wake up and smell the coffee - this guy is a liar and has cheated people out of money!!! Please see the Army Rumour WebSite.

  • whats the song that plays at 0.54 plzz tell me if you know

  • Great video.

  • dam i would hate to fight him

  • lol fightin is gud crack man i think it belta hahaha

  • This is just brilliant ! I am so impressed with everything being put out by StreetFightingSecrets I can spare no superlatives. It makes me appreciate that I survived those years in college/grad school that I worked the door. I am recently disabled and require a cane to get around so now I can just whack someone with that. ( I am learning and practicing a lot ) I also ( due to my disability ) carry a knife and have a permit to carry a pistol concealed ( I live in Dallas, Texas USA )

  • grate clip m8

  • Great video.

  • Simply excellent and true video!Having worked as a doorman in bars I agree totally with you Rich!Having worked in the enviroment made me reliaze I had to change my way of martial arts and the way to deal with situations when they arose.Nothing worse than dealing with a group of idiots hopped up on drugs.Guys at the start of the night are friendly with you and later on when high will be willing to kill you. This is the reality! Some doormen I knew would get stoned to have a level playing feild.

  • Richards youtube channel is awesome keep up the videos and best wishes

  • Great video. Talk a lot of sense mate!

Best of uck in waht you do!

  • Interesting discussion about there almost being a conspiracy of fear creation - the 'anxiety culture' website has loads of material about the media's hyping up of violence, the benefit to advertisers of having a fearful anxious consumer base, strategic placing of adverts after certain types of TV shows, as well as some really interesting stuff on techniques for 'de-stupifying' against this.

  • Solid philosophy, Those that focus on peace that choose to only look at the blue sky and pretty flowers, forget the savageness between the Wolf and the rabbit. People need to wake up and know that the authorities will arrive after the damage is done, rarely do they prevent it. God bless em, but they are not posted gaurd outside your home. Make no mistake this world is not tame. For most of us it takes a rude awakening to make us see it. There are predators, so the good must become protectors.

  • its better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6,full respect richie

  • what does that mean?

  • well if you dont react your mam and dad and brothers have to carry you down in a coffin by 6 people for example my little brother who just would not fight so got stabbed twice in the heart,i would prefere to be judged by a jury of 12 who will possiby see my side, why

  • wot da fuck has it got to do with you anyway

  • what's the song that plays at 0:54?

  • the problem is that the cop dont have guns....i wouldnt be afraid of somebody without a gun

  • hey mate.,ur arguments on the 911 conspiracy video led me to trace n see WHO IS THIS GENIUS ?! hehehe,.,u spoke the truth n told off those other bush lovin jackasses ! and now i saw this vid of urs and its all truth again man ! im from pakistan but living in london by the way. ure an agressive kickboxer and im an aggresive drummer, so check my lamb of god redneck drum video and lets carry on educating this dam world about harsh realities of life and human nature ! safe ! fuck em dead dude ! >;)

  • lol! youre right. if u talked like tony soprano or joe pesci, i would understand everything. by the way, in a couple weeks im starting a part time job as a doorman at a real popular lounge in jersey. im already drilling your techniques with my training partners so im pretty confident i can hold down the fort against all the big guidos and juicers that come through there. so keep up the good work.

  • "ged da fuck oudda heeeur!"

    I'll practise mate-hahaha!

good luck mate, never underestimate any situation you are in- the boneyard is full of heroes- all the best

    Richie

  • You are so righgt here.

It`s a lot of idiots out there.. Just another reason to move to England: Come training with you ;)

Ad yeah, keep it comming, I love you videos ^^

  • hey richard as a competitor in jiu jitsu and muay thai u have shown me what real streetfighting is all about. ur vids have helped me to adapt my training for the streets. ive already ordered one dvd and i plan to get more. by the way, no offense but have u ever considered subtitles for ur vids? im from new jersey and sometimes i have trouble understanding ur accent

  • you know your in trouble when people from new jersey complain about your accent! haha!

im glad the vids have helped mate

yeah we have talked about subtitles, maybe i should just make an effort to talk more clearly, or even to attempt a new joisy accent? ;0)

  • I'm from Jersey, and I don't have a typical Jersey accent,, but I can uderstand you clearly, especially in this video because of the enhanced quality compared to your other videos.

By the way keep making the videos! They're spectacularly interesting, even though I probably wont get in a fight soon enough to remember the techniques and tips. Thankfully I live in an area where fights aren't at all common, but you never know.

    Keep it up man!

  • judo, karate, ninjutsu, aikido? wow thats great. And even wrestling? You must have a lot of knowledge. amazing.

  • Really Good Advice Top Man

  • I love your videos. You're one of the few people I've seen that truly understands the meaning of violence.

  • Great Video 5*

  • Respect richard-yours truly

    Judo Man

  • I like this guy. He knows what the fuck he's talking about.

  • Richard Grannon

much respect 5 star miy frined

  • I take it back. he's not an idiot. but when he escalated the violence with that coke-head where he held him and his colleague would punch him in the face...if he were a professional doorman he could have brought that guy to the floor and hold him there and call for the police. but what he did was injuring someone really seriously with someone who helped him

  • "if he were a professional doorman he could have brought that guy to the floor and hold him there and call for the police. "

you havent got a clue have you? ;0)

  • exactly!! ' holding' somone who is on coke wouldnt be easy!

  • Yup, someone doped up takes longer to bring down. I don't know from experience, thank god but I've heard stories.

  • I've only been a security guard. Trust me mate it took 4 of us to hold down one drugged up guy, who was probably about 12-13 stone, I swear. Including one 16 stone rugby player who he threw off, he fought the police as the were arresting him and even in the police station. I was scared, I knew if we let him up he would have probably battered all of us.

  • Im from America (Dont hate me but I don't blame you) and I'm 13 and I've never heard the term "stone", what is the measurment?

  • 1 stone is 6.3 KG so..

    18 Stone = 114.30

  • @cilidbang

You've never tried to hold someone on coke then! I have took the drug before (not trying to sound big, just out of sheer curiousity) and let me tell you: it gives you ego AND extra power you never knew you had! So yes, please try restraining a cokehead and let us know how you get on :)

  • fucking idiot.

  • Richard is bang on with everything. Professional and well said.

Still leaning in a doorway, year 13.

    cheers!

    Ari Bolden

  • 5 stars we need more people like richard around keep up the good work chucz

  • Sir, you are the REAL DEAL. I will definitely watch everything you have.

  • wheras as you have deomnstrated your superior IQ with an eloquent well contructed argument... I wonder just when my "life as an old man" will begin?

  • dang, youtube is really full of trolls! keep doing what you do and ignore the shrill squeals of people who just talk shit about things they have no understanding of.

as a martial artist, i can appreciate what you are doing.

  • youtube is full of it mate, gives a forum for scumbags... but the good far outweigh the bad

    ;0)

  • Turn the PC off, open the curtains and leave your bedroom.....

  • with that statement it seems that you have the low IQ as people like richard an myself and many others want to help people survive these very dangerous streets. You mention bouncers in the list of scum ok you get some dicks but most will keep you safe would you rather have anarchy? Richard Grannon wants to help people to be able to control an survive horrendous situations. your attitude wil get you killed if you ever end up in a situation that is out of your control maybe then you will know.

  • really good video it keeps me feeling strong and that i can protect myself also great lessons m8 keep it up ur aweosme!

  • haha great video. bad thing about it is the brain damage you could have easily cause hitting his head into the wall

  • I knew you were from liverpool an I totally agree with all your sayin'. nice work mate. we need more of u around! Life can be a bitch in liverpool especially round wer i live.

  • thats me at 1:47!! used to work with Richie on the living room. sound lad and really funny!!

  • hiya mate, which one are you, cant make out the faces?

  • ah I worked it out now! havent seen you for tiiiiime mate! hows it goin?

  • lol was gonna say u should work it out through my name!! ha ha Im ok mate, still doin the doors

  • i like this video the guys story is inspiring

  • Mr Grannon. I have folowed you and Bob for a while now and your story is to say the least inspiring! You are a great teacher and orator and make a brilliant team with Bob. You have taken the market in the UK for this type of fighting/psychology and are doing extremely well. If I can make a suggestion to a side of of the market that I do not see already out there and would b most practical... meditation, using your 'chi' and exploring everthing in between. I think this is whats needed from you.;)

  • His bloke knows his stuff. Fighting someone on coke is a nightmare. The only thing you can do is try and knock them clean out.

    5/5 Great vid

  • Couldn't agree with u more, I train in several styles mainly to keep in shape and to have the ability to protect oneself.

  • great vids my friend, greatings and all good for you...

  • this Guy is true fighter look at the way he moves at 0:54 to 0:57 i think this is Ninjutsu !!

  • check out the "cage fight" video he just put up. A lot of his background and extensive training in different styles can be seen here. I was thoroughly impressed!

  • He called it. Were gonna take it into our own hands...

  • has it been any other way?

  • "Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

    (Bene Gesserit Litany)

  • Anyone know the name of the songs thats playing in the background at 54 seconds

  • Wait now it works awesome

  • I loved this video...why was it taken off

  • Awesome clip - 100% true..

  • Richard:

Fantastic video. You are bang on with everything you said.

    5 stars!
