  • Genius writing and performers....putting it mildly.

  • Ha Ha, Momma just couldn't take it anymore at 1:34.

  • Now thats really acting..Not laughing i am cracking up..Couldnt do it..Great actresses and actor..

  • Poor Eunice. Everyone always rained on her parade.

  • Wishbone dressing eats right through the imitation wood salad bowl! That's hilarious!

  • poor eunice

  • i miss you Marion.

  • Carol was trying so hard not to laugh

  • HaHa, Mama had all she could take at 1:35!

  • Eunice: "It was a SEVEN"

Thelma: "Well Eunice seems to be of the opinion that it was a seven."

  • I love this show.

  • "OH SHUTUP!!!!" lol

  • these sketches have helped me tremendously,i am unable to find a job,and i have been livin in my truck for longer than i care to remember!!! i come to the library and get online, and for a half hour or so im transported to my childhood when things seem to make sense..........this reminds me that there was a time that could still be again if we only wanted it...........smile and be the miracle....

  • @jasonstein1967

Well I'm sending you good energy that you get back on your feet

  • This is the best show ever.

  • Ed: What about that new salad bowl you never even use it...

Eunice: SALAD BOWL?! That's imitation wood. The Wishbone dressin' just eats right through it!!

    hahahahahahahahahaha.......love it!!

  • IT WAS A SEVEN xD

  • 0:52 Slide--- "oh shut up" LOL

  • IT WAS A SEVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "That's all you ever get for me is kitchen appliances 'cause that's all I do around here is housework!"

    "You'd never know it!"

  • LOL- Mamma had all she could stand at 1:35. ALL RIGHT!!!!

  • Reality is that this show was taped twice on one day..one for rehearsal..and one for the taping.

at the rehearsal taping..Vicky went off...but it was censored etc...and in the on air taping... Carol Burnett knew at this taping what Vicky Lawrence was going to say the "ad libs"...which werent at all. So the fake laughs that CB gave...brilliant and realistic as they were...were not real.

  • @MPL029 You can't laugh twice at something thats funny?

  • @MelodiesStrawberrii Sure you can..but then they would be laughing throughout the skit. Why in this same spot..in the same exact way? You know whats coming....as an actor...you dont do that.

  • @MPL029 The rehearsal ad libs weren't the same as the taping ad libs, hence Carol saying "That's a new one, Mama"...I don't understand why her laughs couldn't be real. Just because the show had the format of "acting through the laughs" doesn't mean they had to purposely laugh at a particular line.

  • @queenkey08 Ive seen both versions. There was one ad lib mama made during the dress rehearsal with a live audience that wouldnt get past the censors, so she aded a diff one hence the "thats a new one mama"...the rest were the exact same as in the rehearsal. The audience ate it up when someone cracked up....thats why carol keptthe laughing at that point because the rehearsal audience went crazy when she cracked up,. Its about getting the audience to laugh and their cracking up did it.

  • @MPL029 UR wrong...Carol said..that there were TWO TAPPINGS...One at 5 and one at 8. and The editors would from time to time..take the best from each show.

  • @UFOSPACE1999 If you scroll up..you will see that we all ackowledge there were 2 tapings....

  • @MPL029 If you watch the uncensored outtake, you'll notice that Vikki uses different one line jokes than she used in the second taping. So Carol probably hadn't heard them yet, and that's why she is breaking up.

  • @SymphonyBrahms Carol Burnett is too much of a pro to breakup that way...unless she knows what the audience wants...which..in this show..was to see the actors breakup. Therefore ..she laughed giving the audience what they want......

  • this skit makes me wet

  • Carol's "Eunice" sketches = pure gold

  • I love Carol when she is losing control of her character and starts to laugh like Harvey Korman with Tim Conway.

  • I love watching Carol lose it at the end. I think that if networks nowadays would incorporate things like that into shows then people would be more likely to see actors and actresses for what they really are: humans who just happen to be talented.

  • I don't care how many times I've seen this one, always makes me laugh.God bless Carol , she has helped me through some hard times. Though I never met her, she will always be a personal friend of mine.

  • these people are stark raving nuts. Laugh so hard tears ran down my cheeks. Really it's a bit sad too. Poor Eunice, such a pathetic soul. Kind of tears me up.

  • Look up "Windmills of Your Mind" on YouTube and listen to it. Dusty Springfield does the best version but Nana Mouskouri is good as well.

  • Now four peoples got splinters in the windmills of their minds.

  • It was a SEVENNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :D :D

  • @PeterFormaini She moved it six paces.

  • comedic goddamn brilliance. no rivals, no equals. loooove carol burnett and her gift to the comedy loving world.

  • sadie your stupid

  • This is real comedy. Love you Carol.

  • I wish tv was funny these days. Seems like the old-time entertainers had talent.

  • 'You take my lil' yella men!!' hahaha

Such a good show. Wish they still played it on reruns. This was on way before SNL and MadTV, which were never as funny as this....and never will be.

  • LOL!!!!! The funniest Eunice/Mamma skit ever! I remember when this first aired as a kid & my siblings and I repeating the lines laughing for weeks. This brings it all back -thx for the post!

  • I love it when Vicki starts to improvise at the end - and catches Carol unawares and vulnerable. :D

  • Dear God, they don't make em like this anymore!!!

  • Oh goodie i got a man out.....not anymore you dont *DING DING DING* sorry.

    best moment right there

  • i can't stop laughing

  • 3+ people have splinters in the windmills of there mind! (sorry, I usually don't do "dislike" comments but I just had to do this one)

  • CAROL IS JUST SO GREAT! WATCHED THIS SHOW EVERY WEEK WHEN I WAS A KID! LOVE HER SO MUCH!

  • I wonder how Eunice's kids are trying to sleep with all that going downstairs

  • The best . . . absolute funniest skit . . .

  • is it the greatest thing ever...watching carol lose it at around 5:30....PRICELESS!!!!

  • ATTENTION: THE DISTRIBUTION RIGHTS TO THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW ARE OWNED BY THE WARNER MUSIC GROUP (WMG). IT IS ILLEGAL TO SHARE, COPY, POST OR OTHERWIZE DISTRIBUTE THIS PRODUCT WITHOUT EXPRESS WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM WMG. VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED. • @Arthurianwarp That's all fine and dandy. But this is the only way that we can see these wonderful sketches. Because the owners of this show won't release it on dvd. So if they will release it and make it available for us to purchase, we won't have to watch it on YouTube. Get it?

  • Carol Burnett and Vicki Lawerence has such great chemistry

  • poor Eunice! She lost again LOL...

  • I am going to go buy a game of Sorry tomorrow!

  • I thought the game used cards instead of dice. I found the game rules and it says that SORRY CARDS MUST BE USED. NO DICE

  • 5:25 she Eunice looks like she wants to laugh

  • @sharializevanescence that's my favorite part because she is so laughing and it's so obvious even though she's trying SO hard not to. LOL

  • @sharializevanescence

Oh yes..that was a hilarious moment and the one where Eunice did lose it is on here..lol

  • "You got splinters in the windmills of your mind." Carol Burnett is about to lose it 5:45. Genious.

  • Mama didnt move 7 Spaces she moved SSSSSIIIIXXXXX!!!!!!!. YOU GOT IT? SIX!!

  • lol..looked like she was laughing well trying not too when mama wassaying her line.

  • soooooooooooooooooooo funny my mom showed me it and this is funny but without cursing

  • ...just so's I can have some fun with this impossible old woman!

  • God I miss this show....too funny!!!

  • Hilarious!

  • ".... and on top of that you take my little yella men!!"

  • Wow... a 15 min. sketch with no commercials ! These days by now there would have been three breaks.... Lose weight ! Call a lawyer ! Take a pill for your depression ! Ahh, the good old days....

  • @JoshuaTaylor

    Joshua, you are dead-on correct!

  • @JoshuaTaylor haha yeah, and one for erectile dysfunction too

  • @babyblue2895 ... I swear if i see Smilin' Bob one more time I'll throw something at the TV...LMAO...I miss this show & these people!

  • @JoshuaTaylor I agree. :)

  • @JoshuaTaylor So True. I'm too young to have watched these, but dang do I wish I was around to have lived in this era of Golden Television

  • You wait, there's more Eunice. And Carol couldn't even look at Vicky anymore. Vicky always seemed to be able keep a straight face better than the rest of the cast. EXCEPT when Tim Conway began one of his crazy improv's. We'll never see TV shows of this caliber again.

  • LMAO....People, Sorry Sliders has nothing on the old version of Sorry...........but my 7 year old is happy. Im gonna tie him to a chair and make him watch this video, and maybe we can go back to Target and get the good old version.

  • Comment removed

  • @cheyanneah1 That's "warped" puck...

  • will just move him the number of spaces back then i moved him foreward

well how many did yah move

well how the hell should i know!

LMAO soo damm funny, i wish they made tv shows like this today!

  • lolll...I just loved it when they'd make each other crack up on camera like that. What a great team they made! :)

  • Eunice: "That's all I do around here, is housework!"

    Mama: "You'd never know it!"

  • ROFL!!!!! :o)

  • LOL!!! Agree!!!!!

  • Well how the hell should I know!! lmao

  • I'm telling ya..when Eunice screams..IT WAS A SEVEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!!! Without a doubt it is the funniest thing i have ever seen in my life...lmao :)

  • LMFAO! IT WAS A SEVEENNNNNNN!

  • "You got splinters in the windmill of your mind!"

  • You've got splinters in the Windmills of your mind Eunice!" Haha. Oh god I love this show.

  • ok here it is once and for all. Mama rolled or move the little yellow man 6 spaces not 7. Eunice is wrong. IT WAS A SSSSIIIIXXX !!!!!!!

just thought i let every one know. thank you and have a good night : )

  • I think somebody blew your pilot light out!!!

    ROTFLMAO!!!!

  • carol burnett's so freaking pretty - even when she makes those faces!

  • @paelie She also had beautiful skin.

  • "That's a new one, mama!"

  • WARNING-Don't eat something and watch these "Family" videos at the same time-not a good mix!! Here I am trying to eat a rice crispy treat while watching this and just about spit it out because of trying to hold back from laughing! Too funny, they don't write like this anymore, and you know they ad-libbed some of this. Talent, talent , talent, all too rare now a days. Love the Family sketches the best, they seem all too real.

  • It was a Seveeeeeeeeeennnn! LMAO~!

  • I guess im just too stupid you picked up the dice so god darned fast hahahaha

  • "well how the hell should i know?" haha love it

  • And Carols laughing too.

  • The wishbone dressing just eats right trough it!

  • Momma/ Vicki Lawrence never breaks... How does she do it??!

  • @Whoatemycheese I know i've thought the same she's hysterical and she never cracks a smile---even Harvey is starting to laugh.

  • @Whoatemycheese she really was incredible. Carol's even losing it at the end.

  • which of the dvd volumes is this one on?

  • 200 years will go by, and no one will ever be able to top this sketch, this is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen in all my life.

  • "well, how the Hell should I know?!!!!!"....

  • When I watched this show as a kid it allowed me to relate. I could never figure out why we couldn't enjoy a simple board game without pettiness, control issues, hurt feelings etc. all getting in the way. No one knew the absurdity of dysfunctional family dynamics like Eunice at her family! This was great writing and these small skits were way better than the actual Mama's Family show itself.

  • Somebody blew your pilot light out.... LOL

  • Carol lost control when Vicky was on a roll.. she improvised that line...."That's a new one momma."...LOL... She tried to keep from laughing...but had to do it.

  • "IT WAS A SEVEN!!!!!"

  • I dont know HOW they could get through 1 line without losing it totally. This is totally nuts! I love when carol just loses it,and vicki keeps egging her on !

  • I have always loved watching Eunice and family. All make up the crazy, fun antics of Eunice. One of a kind!

  • What about that new salad bowl? Salad bowl! That's imitation wood! The Wishbone dressing eats right through it! LOL!!!!!!!

  • You're not playin' with a full deck Unis....I think somebody blew your pilot light out! LOL ROFL!

  • someone post them all!!!!!! I remember the one where mamma is at eunices house with a broke ankle...where is that one?

  • LOL//"the Wishbone dressin jest eats right thru it"

  • All of these sketches are funny, but this is the best one. Followed by "Mickey's Apartment". Thanks for posting them.

  • While I'm extremely grateful you've posted all of these, have to say I feel this one is one of the weaker offerings. Comes nowhere near "Mama's Birthday", "Cleaning the attic" or visiting "Mickey's Apartment" (the Chinese food sketch). Still funny, though.

  • @pandorabangles

You know I actually agree with you, this sketch is usually conisdered the BEST one, but I like the ones you mentioned better.

  • "Eunice, you got splinters in the windmills of your mind!"

  • it's sad how teenagers find stupid comics today funny, and yet, the real funny are the classics here. and what do they say about them? well, they either, don't understand, don't find it funny, or insult the jokes and people. I a17 year old that would rather watch this than the dambass shows we have today. this is comedy damnit! ^0^

  • You obviously have taste.

  • well i will ed piece 7 spaces and then move mine seven and take yours back to the begining SORRY! GOD I loved Mama skits

  • It was a seven IT WAS A SEVEN!!!! LOL

  • Not anymore you dont sorry HAHA classic comedy makes you want to cry

  • Thats imitation wood..the wishbone dressin just eats right thru it! LOL!!

  • Where Disney started with a mouse, Carol started with a Tarzan yell!

  • When I was in high school we watched the following, all on the same night (Saturday, I think): All in the Family, MASH, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, and, best of all, the Carol Burnett Show. It's stupefying to think that people like Adam Sandler and Will Farrell are now considered talented comic actors. How far - down - we have come.

  • @Gminor7

Couldn;t have said it better myself! Bravo!!

We shall never see their like again, sadly.

  • @Gminor7 agreed...Sandler and Farrell...dull

  • 1:10 on is still the funniest shit ive ever seen in a show

  • From 4:48-4:50, Eunice's voice lapses into Stella Toddler's voice. Wow!!!!

  • "IT WAS A SEEEEEEVEN!!" LOL OMG! I about peed myself.

  • @OhioCowboi

Oh, yeah!!! Eunice has got some attitude on her, but she's fun to watch!! :)

    -Matt

  • LMFAO! yessss!

  • @OhioCowboi "Eunice seems to be of the opinon that it was a 7" ... I was dying when she messed her own self up by just saying IT WAS A SEEEVEN! and that FACE! LOL LOL

  • SLIDE------>!!

  • belly laugh stuff ~ good ol'e days ~ I like it :)

  • 1:12 on is priceless. Classic Burnette, Koreman, Lawrence

  • AdLaura, I relate to your daughter so much. I'm 19 and I can answer any question about any television/motion picture show, but you ask me what the most popular show is today.... couldn't tell ya.

  • IT WAS A SEVEN!!!! Carol Burnett always had the funniest scream I have ever heard not to mention her facial expressions. I nearly peed from laughing so hard! I loved her as Mrs. Hannigan in "Annie". Hands down, she does the best drunk I have ever seen!

  • Yew take my little yeller men!!

  • that part is the funniest...i had to pause the video i was laughing SO HARD!

  • IT WAS A SEVENNNNNNNN!!!! PRICELESS!

  • "It was a SEVEEEEEEEN!"

  • "you got splinters in the windmills of yer mind"

    LOL!!

  • no one wants to admit it but, most of us that was from that era grew up in a house hold just like this one. Hell it was OK we made it. At least no one got beat or shot.

  • This kind of classic comedy died off a long time and was replaced with utter claptrap like SouthPark, Two and a Half Men, etc.

  • @AdLaura

i could not agree more. i'm only 28, and it's really pretty disgusting to me what my generation is into. sadly, most of my friends have never seen anything this good. and i think it's ridiculous that the only place to find it is on youtube!

  • Well violinbabe, maybe there's some hope. My daughter is 26 and she would much rather watch these classics than almost anything else that's on tv these days. Actually, none of my kids were ever into South Park or any of the other so-called comedies of this era. We really need another gem like Carol and ensemble to come our way again.

  • @AdLaura

I was never into the South Park program myself, either or any of the programs of today. There's a reason why: the programs of today (i.e, sitcoms) are not as funny as the ones from years ago. I strongly prefer to watch the programs of years ago instead of the garbage of today that tries to pass itself off as "good TV". Current producers don't have a clue as to what's fun to watch or what's not.

  • It's so true and very sad. The "art" of genuine humour has long ago passed away....replaced by potty humour and sexual innuendoes and jokes. I feel sorry for today's generation. They've grown up without seeing what classic humour really is.

  • "Well, HOW THE HELL SHOULD I KNOW?!!!" Classic delivery, followed by classic look on Ed's face. Funny!

  • Carol Burnett is awesome!!!!!!

  • carol is itching to burst out XD

  • she is trying her best to contain herself....

  • Ok Unis/Carol has Problems in this show hehe she is a fruit and nut id hate for her to be bhiend me on the Ten Items or Les Que in the Supermartet when i had 11 itms

  • @EmoDeathStar121 I DO hate when people go through the 10 items or less line with a 100 $s worth of stuff. I mean WTF!?

  • My last common was a joke about her . i hate it to and id nevre do it but guss what haha it happend to me today and i was unis and i gave that bitch a pice od my mind lol she had eight items as i counted and than trew a tv guide and a bar, and chewing gum on her stuff well i trew it on the floor an let her have it lol but just bing dumped didnt help my mood

  • "IT WAS A SEEEVVEEEEEEEEEEN!!"..Kill me now.....

  • IS this sketch on the DVD collection

  • 1975 BABY NOTHING BETTER!!!!!!

  • Windmills of your Mind: Academy Award Winning theme song from THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR written by Michel Legrand.

  • it was a SEVENNNNN! LOL!!! XD

  • i see, thank you, chillin4560 !

the way they crack up each other is really hilarious and genius!

  • can someone be kind enough to "translate" the true meaning of "splinters in the windmill of your mind" to me? I am not an english/american. and if it wasn't for YouTube, i would never have known such a hilarious and world-class acting team here! I think i fell in love with carol!

  • "ur crazy" basically...
