Good time of the day! I vaguely understand what Miktex do and that it is for Windows OS. I am Linux user, it there, or would I need any Linux analogue? Thanks :)

@NeVerbliud tetex and Emacs is what I use on Debian and Ubuntu. You know the drill to install the software. :)
After opening a .tex-file, you will be in TeX-mode. Do C-h m to get the information about the mode.
