  • @CaptainMontereyJack1 Sorry but your comments are made out of ignorance. I AM a trainer. I train dogs and teach people HOW to train their dogs using mostly David Dikeman's methods. I have trained rescues, aggressive dogs, timid dogs, you name it. His methods work...period.

  • @jocwalk, as I told the Captain before, this is NOT an isolated event where Dikemans method is concerned--it has worked like this for something like 2 million dog owners worldwide! And if you have ever done the attention training, it is IMPOSSIBLE for it to take weeks or months--It can't happen that slow. They all "get it" that fast --this is nothing out of the ordinary with this method, and this dog wasn't even one of the difficult ones. In the program, they are confined before training!

  • @DrWingateVet I know. Some people just don't get it. Every dog I've worked with has been a different dog by the end of the first session. Some are better than others but they've all started redirecting their focus within that first 20-30 minutes.

  • Okay, first of all, this system has worked with thousands of dogs and has nothing to do with lack of exercise. If they were going to have a crew film in Central Park, they would tell the woman to walk a half mile to the shoot to meet them? LOL. The dog was brought to the shoot by the HS Van, unloaded at the shoot, and then worked under Dikeman's supervision for less than 30 min on camera--and these were not "miracle results." Most dogs respond this way to the attention training.
