  • amazing video watched and loved it. me and some friends are starting a team of free-running called varekaiteam and we would all like to say "keep up the good work, your videos are actually meaningful to people and inspire" thank you for the video. :)

  • @jacobtheripper1 Thanks for your comments. I'm glad that you enjoyed the video :)

  • 8:03 Yeah, this guy is great. I was inspired by Nature of challenge as well. I had seen tons of videos previously and I always thought, "Man I want to learn to do that" ... Then last year I stumbled upon Obsidians channel and was like, "You know what, I can do this." I started practicing last year around February in my town of 17000 people and started "The Port Angeles Parkour Syndicate" in September with 5 of my friends. Now the group has around 32 people, and I couldn't be happier about it :)

  • @spartankiller369 That's good to hear. I always try to make videos which inspire people to start training, so I'm glad to hear that your training is going well, and that your group is growing in size. Pass on my regards to everyone in the group :)

  • @Obsidian1138 Will do my friend, will do :) Have yourself a great day

  • where is the place at 18:04 and is it still there please reply

  • Great

I just practise to the skills i cant do !!!

  • 1:20 the only time white people when :D

  • I love your videos, they really get across the message of "working". That message is lost sometimes (I am lucky to have others more experienced than me to teach me that). Keep up the great work.

  • hy my name is phil.180 pounds 5/10 and age 15..i have worries about my joints because i do alot of parkour and im strating to hear poping in my shoulders and in my knees, what should i do? and i condition alot

  • @AphroPhil666 Shoulder presses are great (if you have access to weights) otherwise handstand push ups against a wall do wonders. I have had a lot of knee problems (i gained them from previous years of basketball not parkour), and stretching and pistols (one legged dips) are great. If I were you, I would cut back on the jumping and technique stuff for a while and condition more (glad to hear you condition a lot). From what I have gathered online, stretching and slow exercise are the best.

  • @amarmirza08 thanks for the advice yet ive been doing all the things you mentioned yet i still hear the popping.

  • @AphroPhil666 Damn, well that is pretty much what I gather from reading online. I don't train with you, so I can't tell if you are doing something wrong, but ask some of the more experienced guys in your group (maybe they went through the same thing). Best of luck.

  • @amarmirza08 the funny thing is , i train my friends to do parkour and inspire them haha its just that ive been doing alot of jumping aroung in my videos..if you want to see one then look up( Operation Vip) thanks

  • @AphroPhil666 hahaha, so i looked up your video expecting a parkour vid(obviously i was a little confused). It was cool though like tropic thunder

  • @amarmirza08 haha yeah about that we are going to make a parkour/ninja film very soon..about the grren hornet..but thanks

  • one day when i feel i am ready ill start parkour im 14 182 pounds and i will do this

  • "Didn't see you there!" my ass.

  • Its good to see how to get up from a cat leap, because I really struggle to get past that pose, its hard!

  • @Foxman955 Just train, after a time you will get it ;)

  • Legends. I feel like i have a motivation for getting off my lazy arse :) cheers fellas

  • Excellent video! Parkour the way it's meant to be shown :) And very smart move putting Danny in the thumbnail. That's one of the reasons I clicked on it in the first place!

  • 04:12 xD The flow is just amazing!

  • Beautiful

  • You guys are amazing! I've only been doing parkour for about 3 and a half weeks and your videos keep me going. I hope to visit and train with you guys in Manchester.

  • opening theme???

  • and also could you send me a message on a good pair of shoes for grip thank u

  • hi im 15 184lbs and strong but i want to know im a bit big and built like a tank will it be possible for me to parcour i really like to work out and do stuff like that but i just wanted to know

  • @AoDRebel104 It's always possible to do parkour, because parkour is about training in ways which you personally find challenging. If you can work towards a goal of improving your own abilities, and building strength and skill, then you can practice parkour.

The most important thing with a pair of shoes is comfort. Shoe grip is secondary to correct technique.

  • @AoDRebel104 Yes it is very possible for you to do parkour I'm 20 5'7" and 186lbs I've been doing parkour for about 5 years now and the only thing that has affected me in progression is my jumping ability because im built for power. I over came that through various exercises like jumping up stairs or bleachers on one leg.

  • the successful swing at 17:08 i think i know what he did, since most of the reaches were taken from a sideswing which widens the reach distance much like trying to get around a circle as opposed to a square, he minimized the circumfrence aspect by getting closer to the object he was taking off from thus giving his reach a more vertical extension as opposed to a diagnol. Technical movement is my game =]

  • @Obsidian1138 Amazing work on the video! I have watched the whole thing at least 5 times now, the step by step and philosophies are amazing! Very inspiring, keep it up. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next video :)

  • Are Acesis good Parkour shoes?

  • I want to live in a city

  • 33:15 that one guy that got the Easter bunny confused with a bin man

  • at 34:41 the spot they were at was built by these guys /watch?v=yZKhupUXQ5A

  • how is parkour related to WD40??

  • those 5 dislikes are missclicks (:

  • When is a new video???

  • @AnimeJunkey71 I've got some ideas for new videos, so hopefully we'll start shooting something quite soon!

  • @Obsidian1138 what i like about your videoes is you dont do all the unpractical flips and spins you actually show the practical uses of parkour......other vids im like "i dont care if you can do a quadruple gainer off a hundred foot wall but you cant do a simple cat or tic tac....keep up the good work :))

  • @tannerandjamestv Thanks. We've got some ideas for future videos, so we should have something new for you in the not too distant future!

  • Very nice editing and storyline! :) Hope to see more videos! x

  • Fantastic video, I happily watched all of it.

  • Really enjoyed this :) good work you put in :)

  • Mikeee, your bus pas is due soon, so you won't need to use parkour HAHAHAHAH!!

  • 4 people like Sour, hard-to-open grapefruits.

  • Great vid people!

  • The very fact that you add "...and should be open to everyone," to your comment just gives me so much more respect for you guys. Keep up the great work and positive energy - your vids are well worth the watching.

  • 4 peoples dont know who is daniel ilabaka

  • Having watched northernparkour videos since 07, I can safely say they have always been the top of the line. Absolutely most inspirational, informative and helpful people around. Heres to keeping the spirit of parkour around, cheers.

  • LMFAO anyone else notice the dead body marker at 1:21

  • great video.. but... where is David Sedgley?

  • 31:19 Hahaha get out!

  • I miss Manchester, need to make a trip. This video is QUALITY, such great editing and style, me and my gf watched and loved it.

  • @jinteamtraceur Thanks Jin. Where are you living at the moment? You should definitely get to Manchester one Saturday soon! It would be great to train with you again :)

  • @Obsidian1138 Im in China these days matey, but will be back in August so ill let you know if i can make it up I would love to get there. My bro best still be training with you dudes as well next year!

  • @jinteamtraceur Sounds good :) We'll hopefully see you when you're back then. Your brother hasn't trained with us for a while now. I presume he's still in Manchester?

  • the 3 dislikes are 3 fatties that tried and failed haha

  • she been doing flips and shit then shes going on a boat and.... :D

  • Just saw the video after having it in my still to watch list for over a month (just couldn't get the time) but I loved it as I always do with your vids.

Give Mike my respect, being 37 myself (started parkour at 33) I feel related to him and run into the same things. If one of you guys happen to be in the Netherlands just contact me for some trainingsessions.

  • @Wavetracer Thanks, I'm glad that you like the video. I will pass on your comment to Mike :)

  • Good vid but the park under the bridge wasnt made by hobos!

  • Did you run and give Danny a big hug?... if i randomly ran into him I don't think i could stop myself from doing that

  • I like grapefruits :(

  • :O RESPECT TO MIKE!! 37 years old and hes actually pretty good, respect to him for his efforts :D

  • Guys I am just another one of those people just beginning to get into the world of parkour...From Sydney, I have a strong background in sports (tennis/football) so I am fairly athletic...I'm not particularly strong but my biggest concern is flexibility and confidence (common issues I am sure). Videos like this push me closer to wanting to do well. I think a video going over fundamentals and how to go about starting would be appreciated. But you have earned a subscriber - nice video guys :)

  • @lfcloads9 I like the idea of a video about starting training. I'll think about that one for a future video :)

If you're in Sydney, there are plenty of people there who train parkour. I'm sure if you arrange to meet up with them, they can help you get started with your training.

  • @Obsidian1138 Cheers. Its great to see a community that actually has interactivity like this one. Thanks for the feedback and good luck with everything :)

  • What's the song @ 18:00?

  • True Parkour..

  • If you can admit you're crazy, you're not crazy.

  • very nice video

  • If theres ever a zombie apocalypse, these guys would last the longest...

  • good job paul!

  • Great Video!

  • i find all of these videos motivating and inspirational. I have this mental setback to parkour/free running though - im too tall. i'm almost 6'2" and real skinny, and i always think my legs are too long or i dont have enough flexability to do anything like this. i practice this kind of thing whenever i can, but i cant get myself past that mental barrier

  • The older gentleman kicks ass :O

  • Awesome vid guys!

  • Where'd Dave Sedgley go?

  • @tsg5993 Dave doesn't live in Manchester, so only trains here occasionally. I'm sure he'll make an appearance in a video fairly soon though ;)

  • @Obsidian1138 Thanks for responding. I can't wait.

  • I'm recovering from a minor hip and shoulder injury so I've been on a training hiatus for awhile. Watching your videos every now and then inspires me to train as soon as I'm good and that should be in a week or so =] I actually ate a banana with its skin after watching this video again haha. I do CrossFit so Im familiar with the PaleoDiet, want to look into it more. Thanks for the great video!!

  • I'm going to Manchester on vacation for about 2 weeks. I was thinking of training with you guys. I have never done Parkour. But do you guys think I might be able to do some training?

  • @AnimeJunkey71 Sure. Just let me know when you'll be in Manchester. You're welcome to come along to any of the sessions.

  • That part about age made me laugh- that guy's the same age as me! Thanks for making me feel old. We've got a number of dedicated tracers here in San Francisco, California who are 30-40+.

You've got a lot of good stuff here- how about breaking it into episodes instead of one long movie? I think that would make it easier for people rewatch sections they really like and also remove the need for those clunky "here we are at..." narration segues which already interrupt the flow of the overall piece.

  • Dave S?

  • Amazing

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaha this Han guy is a legend! I guess happily eating banana skin comes with the status of a legend, because that skin is too damn bitter!

  • Why don't I see Dave in this video?

  • I trust you to create my move.

  • Kudos to Mike.

  • good video!!!

  • This is awesome, it should be called "Jump Manchester".

  • parkour with helmet cam: AWESMEEE

  • so glad to see the true spirit of parkour being kept alive! haha we have a 30+ year old guy as well, and he's awesome! you all continue to inspire me. whenever i make my european parkour journey, manchester will certainly be a stop. fantastic video, thanks for taking the time to make it.

  • how young could you be to start parkour?

  • AMAZING video.

  • I flip off buildings all the time. And people.

  • Always love your work! You guys keep us really inspired down here in GA, USA

I hope to visit Manchester someday :)

  • @BlakTAB Thanks! You're welcome to come and train with us in Manchester any time you like :)

  • always inspiring work, i hope to train with you guys pretty soon!!

  • Do you know how much lucky you are?! xD Daniel is filming a commercial on roof of building where you are working at xD AND AWESOME VIDEO PAUL! I hope you will make more videos like this =D

  • 2 people dont know what is the real parkour.

  • how long have you guys been training?

  • i love the 37 years old guy man, he is awesome

  • I have a question and it's kinda serious. I have been training parkour for a little over a year, but more seriously after the snow melted a few months ago. I didn't really train before I started with parkour. Right after the Easter holiday, I had a period where I trained a lot, and then I stopped training 'cause I didn't really have the time. I have begun to feel pain right above my right ancle(the leg I Jump with, sort of my "good leg") and in my knees. Do you think I have a serious injury?

  • @EivindS94 If it's on the inside of the leg, at the bottom of the calf, it 'could be' shin splints. You should really see a physiotherapist for a proper diagnosis.

  • @TheEnrieb sounds scary! but I have never really seriously injured myself, but sometimes, more in the early stage of my parkour training, after I have jumped a lot with my right leg, I feel this pain right above my ancle, on the inside. any advice?

  • @EivindS94 I can't really advise on your problem, because it's pretty much impossible to diagnose something like that (properly) over the internet. However, IF it is 'shin splints' there's a wiki article which will give you more information, also there are some shin splint stretches and shin splint exercises that you can search for on youtube. Causes: increasing your training too rapidly, lack of calcium and vitamin D, muscle imbalance (try heel walks), flat feet, poor landings technique

  • @TheEnrieb I talked to a fellow traceur, and he told me that I should take a break from training. Lack of Calcium and Vitamin D is probably partly the reason, Haven't been much of a milkdrinker throughout my life.. but I have begun now.

  • @TheEnrieb Lack of Calcium and Vitamin D might be part of the reason. haven't been much of a Milkdrinker untlig recently. I read that aritcle, and It said that landing on the balls of your feet might be a cause, maybe I misunderstood, but isn't that the proper landing technique that one should use?

  • @Vilnius3run I'm working on English subtitles at the moment. We've got Italian and Danish to follow shortly afterwards. If anyone wants to volunteer to translate into other languages, you're more than welcome :)

  • i thing it would be a good idea to make some Subtitiles in youtube, for those who cant understand english very well (at least russian)

  • Hey you think I could get one of those sweatshirts??

    That'd be awesome :)

  • Are there events or trainers that do this in Oahu?
