  • Hey sister I changed my screen name I used to be koolguy1472 now its this. I am no longer a Seventh day Adventist but I still reconize Saturday as Sabbath but the Seventh day adventist church says that Jesus is Micheal the Arch Angel and Jesus is not an angel. Jesus is God and at the same time he is the son of God but not Micheal. Micheal is the angel that God used to protect the kingdom of Heaven. I also don't believe in the Rapture because its not in the bible. Matthew ch. 24:29-31 after.bless

  • The Bible says we will be "caught up" to meet Jesus in the air. That's where the word rapture comes from.

  • Yes but when you say Rapture to people most think that the Rapture is before tribulation but its not its after tribulation the gathering is. Thats why I don't use the word Rapture. Matthew ch 24:29-31 and also mark ch 13:24-28.

  • The timing of the rapture is completely separate from the fact of the rapture. Only the timing is debated. :)

  • Timing. Matthew ch 24:29-31 says after tribulation. The Gathering is after tribulation.

  • @hardrockhouse Baptist scholar Walter Martin, a man who claimed he was an expert on the teachings of the SDA church, claims the Greek in Revelation means "a day dedicated to the Lord by the church". Early Church fathers show Sunday was being kept by the church very early in the second century. But it is doubtful they did much more that meet a sunrise on the first day. It was not considered a Sabbath.

  • Dr. Samuele Bacchiocchi passed away Dec. 20, 2008. RIP

  • Thank you for letting me know. I am on the mailing list from my work address, but the e-mail system has been down since the 19th and still isn't back, so thanks for the head's up.

  • I am a Sabbath keeping christian too! And I want to say thanks for putting this stuff out there for those who don't know. I from Revelation I wouldn't understand what day of the week that was, but People assume that the Value of Lord'sDays=Sunday when it could Be a variation of days other than sunday which one could say. But the other scriptures do say the Day Lord's Day = Day of the Lord is the Seventh day Sabbath.

  • Yes the sabbath is on the 7th day and that day is Saturday because sunday is on the first day of the week. thanks for the post sister and may God Bless you in Christ Jesus.

  • lot of rubbish.

  • Thank you indeed for the effort of explaining the true meaning the Sabbath day as exposed by John. This is definitely the seventh day, as this signifies rest from creation as well as rest in salvation. Who once tasted the true meaning of the Sabbath he/she will never want to lose it. Bless.
