Paint pots are good for keeping the MAC eye Khol pencils in place otherwise they'll go all over the place! I love the eye Khols' blendability but I must use the paint pots underneath them first! LOL

I'm really glad that you explained how to use Violet Trance. I went and swatched it bare and was really disappointed when the color payoff was nearly nothing but the funny thing is...I was looking for just that very color last month in a pro shop and the closest thing they had was cobalt. So I'm goiing right away to get this color cuz even though I can mix a couple of colors to get this color.....I'm kinda lazy at times and don't want to go thru all of that...lol Thanks for the review :)

The more I look at this video, the more I want that quad. I would have never consider it other wise. The Fushia pigment they have with this collection is actually purple. I thought it would match more with Brash & Bold. It compliments Push the Edge more. It is still pretty so I got it anyway. Great video!

Makeup artists often make makeup seem intimidating,causing non-artist to feel as if it's beyond their expertise, especially with lines like mac, etc, but you present it to non-artist in such a way that make people, like myself, feel as if they don't have to be in an elite group to experiment and try techniques used by the pros. Otherwise, I probably would not have ventured from buying only from drugstores.lol

Hi Erin!! First off, I want to say that I LOVE your videos. There are a lot of make-up tutorials out there, but I love that you represent for the chocolate girls. After watching your videos, I've learned that colors DO work for brown skinned women. I am NOT following those typical rules anymore. OK...so question! You talk a lot about the paint pots from mac. Do regular primers work just as well? I have a paint pot (it's kind of goldish), but it makes my eyeshadows dark. Any suggestions??
