After what she's been through, it amazes me how she is able to recall the details of her terrible child hood & now she is doing what she can for Cambodia & that's a lot. We need more Cambodians like her.

I have read this book and its just amazing. Im 15 and this is the best book i have ever read and will ever read. I am currently reading the second and find it hard to put it down. Loung Ung is an amazing woman and has gone through hell. I recommend her book to anyone. It's called 'First they killed my Father' and the second is called 'Lucky Child'
