  • Great book, i'm almost finished reading 'first they killed my father' and i love it. I wish i could meet her

  • Agree about Loung Ung she is a true inspiration for us all.

But pleeaaase avoid the "In America.. blabla... In America.. blabla.."

What most people do not know is that this glorious global peace-promoting country known as the USA actually helped and supported Khmer Rouge guerillas as an actor against the Vietnamese troops (after the defeat against North Vietnam) at the height of the Cold War.

  • first they killed my father is such a great book. it gives courage to those people who suffered from a tyrannic regime.

  • I love that book too =]

This is the true story, and I am Cambodian.

  • Lucky Child is a great book.

  • These narrators have a cheesy presentation. You don't have to sex up the story. It's already potent w/truth.

Any vids of her giving a speech?

  • How could you say that?!? This is something you don't even want your worse enemy to happen!

  • After what she's been through, it amazes me how she is able to recall the details of her terrible child hood & now she is doing what she can for Cambodia & that's a lot. We need more Cambodians like her.
