  • My God, Thank you so very much for uploading this from the Great Chuck Wagon Gang.. I have been looking for videos of them!!! They are the best gospel group I have ever heard! They sing with so much heart... God bless you for sharing these great videos. I really hope you will put up more!!!!

  • These song are a blessed to you and God love you too.

  • I love CWG's versions of these old songs, I went to a small country church as a kid and they remind me of that sound. You can hardly find churches like that anymore.

  • "He Set Me Free" was written bt Albert E. Brumley. Hank Williams acknowledged that he wrote "I Saw the Light" off of "He Set Me Free."

  • "he set me free" to me sounds very similar to Hank Williams' "I saw the light"

    are there any connections?

    Ray from Germany

  • Does anyone know the young man singing tenor?

  • I believe it's Jimmy Wesson.

  • @feltonite

Yes indeed, it is Jim Wesson. I am blessed to have him as my close neighbor as well as close friend. Rumor has it that he and another past member of the Chuckwagon Gang are starting a new gospel group, and on the first tour, they will be doing a tribute to the Chuckwagon Gang. I think that would be awesome!

  • Great stuff, takes me back to my childhood when my mom, dad & uncle sang "When I Looked Up!" Thank you Brother Arvin!
