Plowing With The '79 Ford Truck

I love how when he gets out he doesn't even show the truck except for a headlight and alittle bit of the blow. i wanted to see how good of shape the truck was in.

@HammerSam1 The video is about plowing snow. Not about looking at the body of the truck. I have plenty of other videos of this truck if you want to see the body so badly.

@RossPrestoniscool somehow the head on the driver's side of the engine had a couple chunks missing, so it leaked exhaust really bad. It now has a different head and different intake, and she runs nice and smooth (and quiet) now.

that clutch is adjusted correctly...there kind of a pain to drive when there not adjusted that way...my brothers 82 f150s clutch is out of adjustment, it takes a while to figure out where you need to let it out to and give it throttle at the same time...

@NathansBackwoods yep, it just takes some getting used to. On most of the vehicles I have driven, the clutch engages closer to the top of the stroke, so that's what I've been used to.

I like the snow! It's fun to ride snowmobiles on it, and it makes for good money clearing out people's driveways. ^^

I get it, you can create your own business cleaning snows of parking lots at the shopping center and front of shoping area, just the same thing as running a sweper truck and swepping peoples driveway and parkinglots at the shopping center

well you've got the right idea, but usually those places do it themselves. I was talking about personal driveways.

i think its a Custom isn't it, as it appears to have the higher trim level wood grain glove box door, unless that came off a Lariat or a Ranger XLT, as i know the Customs where bone basic trucks, and the owner could pick and choose what they wanted, which was a really nice option, also this truck has a radio delete, some people who go with out a radio or people who mount there radios else where like the delete option dash, anyways nice video, and great truck! :) also it has the NP-205 T-case,

i figured that, the steering wheel and i assume the column (because of the cover color difference) as well is from a '73-'77 Truck, as this steering wheel doesn't appear to be like one from a '78-'79, personally i like the '78-'79 steering wheel, and that's what my truck has, because it is a '79, but its basically a '77 after the frame swap and the grille swap, and my truck is the same, according to Ford, my truck was blue, and it was a 2x4 long box! but it did have a 302w C6 from the factory

That is almost identical to my buddies truck.. He doesn't like his reverse either. He has a 4 speed, but first gear is like a granny gear!!

Love plowing with it though!!

Yeah, this truck is the same way. First gear is super low. I can get into third in my driveway practically.

the tranny and transfer case have taken a hell of a beating and it has messed them up a bit.

Yeah, after an hour or 2 the video will clear up and it will be a lot easier to see. it's crap quality at first.

if it has shoes on blade take em off it will clean it off better i never use em

it doesn't have them on right now, i'm just afraid of tearing up the lawn without them.
